Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 59: Joyful Day
The school’s family day has come to an end. Because Edith and Callum won all the competitions, they won the grand prize: free tickets to a private yacht. Of course, Edith and Callum didn’t want to miss this opportunity. However, they couldn’t do it now, as the situation still wasn’t conducive.
Before school, Edith and Callum let their twins finish their homemade cookies first. Already comfortable participating in the competition together, Callum unconsciously held Edith’s hand, unconcerned that everyone was secretly gossiping about them.
"Mom, the cookies are so delicious! I want more!" Eliana whined, winking sweetly.
"I want one too! I want ten!" Erdin jumped up and down in a circle.
Edith laughed softly, looking at her lover who was also laughing at the sight of their twins who were getting greedier as time went by.
"Okay, I will make ten cookies for you and your father."
"Hurray!" the twins exclaimed in unison.
"But, your dad and I won’t be making them today. Your teeth will rot if you eat too many cookies."
"How about tomorrow?" Callum suggested with a pleading face.
Edith pinched her lover’s cheek with a little force. "Looks like you’re the greedy one, Callum!"
"Every time I taste your cookies, I get so addicted that I want to finish them all at once."
"Looks like you passed your personality on to the kids."
"Actually, I’m still not satisfied with playing with you. Besides, playing at home is more relaxed. I don’t have to put on an act anymore."
Behind this warm family moment, the parents were actually jealous of them. They had suspected from the start that Edith and Callum were a married couple. If Edith was just Erdin’s nanny, why would Callum treat her like his wife? That was the topic of gossip among the parents today. Furthermore, some of them had also seen Callum picking up Eliana from school. Was this just a coincidence?
Laura and Philip are a married couple who never keep their curiosity to themselves for long. So, they immediately approached the small family with their son.
Laura patted Edith’s shoulder silently, Callum spontaneously released his embrace quickly before he was suspected.
"You just startled me, Laura!" Edith rubbed her chest, her gaze glaring.
Laura folded her arms, staring awkwardly at the couple. "Edith, you shouldn’t hide your relationship any longer. I already know you’re husband and wife."
Edith pursed her lips, looking at her friend increasingly nervously. "Sorry, we didn’t mean to lie to you. But circumstances forced us to."
Callum held his girlfriend’s hand confidently, preventing her from becoming even more awkward just to answer Laura’s question. "What Edith said is true. We were forced to lie, actually."
"We don’t actually mind if you lie. But this is the first time we’ve seen a husband and wife lie, even though you seem so compatible."
Philip patted his friend’s shoulder reassuringly. "You don’t have to worry. Your secret won’t get out because we’re good at keeping secrets."
"But, actually, your secret will be revealed because your behavior looks like a real married couple from the first game until the end," said Laura.
"That’s right. Especially during the third game, you guys were so sweet." Philip rolled his eyes. "Callum, you even keep teasing your own wife without even realizing it. Plus, she’s also openly drawing your faces on cookies."
"Because it’s become a habit for us to always play while making cookies. Edith and I always take the opportunity to have fun. Especially since it’s been so long since I’ve spent any free time with her."
"Anyway, I pray that the problems you’re facing are resolved quickly. We’re really worried about you."
Callum smiled faintly, giving his friend a quick hug. "Once everything is resolved, I’ll definitely invite you to our wedding."
Laura crouched in front of Erdin, slowly stroking his tiny head. "I used to always ask Erdin if he actually had a mother. He always said she’d been missing for years. Then, ever since Eliana became his classmate, they always said they weren’t siblings."
Erdin lowered his head. "I’m sorry, Auntie. I shouldn’t have lied to you."
"It’s okay. In fact, sometimes lying is necessary to protect yourself. Especially since you’re doing something that could protect your parents. If the secret gets out, the problem will only get worse."
Edith let her son hug her leg to keep from crying. "Thank you for taking care of my son all this time, Laura."
"Sometimes his face was gloomy in class before Eliana was here, in fact I was really worried about him."
"Thanks, Laura. I guess I’ll have to treat you and Philip to a fancy restaurant someday," Callum said with a friendly smile.
"Let’s deal with that later. The important thing is to resolve your problems first. If you need help, we can help you."

Today was a truly joyful day for this little family. Although they had to act, they managed to win all the competitions at the family day event. Edith really enjoyed the family photo session held by the school, so they finally had one. Her eyes sparkled as she stared at the photo of the four of them displayed in a small frame. Edith touched the frame while gazing at her sweet boyfriend.
"I’ve always wanted a family photo, and it’s finally come true," Callum said, kissing his girlfriend on the cheek. "Thank you for making my dream come true."
"If nothing had happened to us from the start, perhaps we wouldn’t only have family photos on display in our house, but also our wedding photos."
"Looks like it’s my turn to grant your wish. The look on your face clearly shows that you really want to get married."
Edith laughed gracefully as she fed Eliana a banana. "Then I’ll wait for your promise. I still want to wear your wedding dress for you."
Callum stroked his twins’ heads as he gazed at their first family photo. "I don’t want just one family photo. Once this is all over, I’ll definitely take you on a private yacht, and we’ll take a photo together."
