"But, Edith must have been acting in front of you to make you fall in love with her! You’re so stupid, Callum!"

"I was more stupid to marry Edith than to marry you!"

"Did you know that Edith is actually an illegitimate child?!"

Edith swallowed nervously every time she heard those words, which were very sensitive to her ears. She was sick of everyone looking down on her just because she was an illegitimate child. That’s why she didn’t want to socialize much, because she was traumatized by the experiences of people who ultimately betrayed her. Only Callum never considered her an illegitimate child. That’s why she didn’t want to let him go so easily.

"Watch your words, Arabella! Edith is not an illegitimate child in my eyes!"

"You don’t have to pretend to be smart in front of Edith, Callum!"

Her patience had now reached its limit. Arabella finally gave up on this couple who had deceived her for years.
