A smile played on Si Shuo’s lips as she lowered her gaze, hiding the laughter she could barely contain. "It’s too hot. If I didn’t wash it, I think bugs would have started nesting in it. As long as I don’t catch a chill and dry it quickly, I’ll be fine."
Xu Chi hummed in acknowledgment, drying her hair with intense focus, a fine sheen of sweat breaking out on his forehead.
Once he felt it was nearly dry, he wrapped his arms around her tightly from behind. He kissed her with a restraint that seemed both fierce and deeply affectionate.
Si Shuo chuckled, craning her neck and tugging on his ear. "Xu Chi," she whispered, "come on, use your Invisibility on me. I want to play a game with you!"
Xu Chi was a little confused but obediently complied. He placed his hand on Si Shuo, and gradually, his little mate vanished before his eyes.
Si Shuo smiled faintly, pursing her lips as she let go of his hand.

By the time Si Shuo woke up, the sun was already high in the sky. Both babies had already started their second nap of the day!

Si Shuo shook her head frantically. Xu Ye was good-natured and didn’t make a fuss, though he did have a habit of burying his face in the bedding and then crying because he’d gotten himself stuck. Youyou, on the other hand, had to be held until she fell asleep.
