Sean went to the referee and asks to heal the winning participants.

After hearing his skill, they were shocked, they then bring him to the five winning participants, if he can really heal them, they can start the next round immediately.

The five winners are Jericho, Raleigh, John, the captain of City Z4 and the vice captain of City Z1.

There isn’t a member of City Z3 amongst the five winners.

It seems that the five captains are split into the five stages, Missel was grouped up with the four vice captains from the other cities, the ultimate winner was the vice captain of City Z1.

"I guess that you are the underdog amongst the group." Sean teases Jericho before healing everyone present, including their pet beasts.

With his help, the second round was announced to everyone and they all gather at stage 1.

Seeing the expression of the rest of the group, Sean asks. "So, what happened to make you guys so gloomy?"

"Bones and Emirose we’re in the same stage as John and he considers them the strongest threat and proceeds to eliminate them first, not even caring about getting hit by the other two participants as long as he can take them down." Fabuki explains.

Sean laughs out loud. "I’m not surprised, he might be a bronze ranker but he never looks down on any of you."

This was comforting but at the same very bitter pill for the two.

"What about you guys? Why are you so sad?" He asks Bobby and Sweet Fruit.

"We’re weak, you guys didn’t see it but the greatest battle was on stage one, Missel was strong but she’s totally outclassed and outnumbered, she had to work together with Prim to survive." Sean was intrigued.

"Tell me more."

"I’ll explain it from here." Principal Maki suddenly speak.

"All fighters except for ours are bronze rankers, the strongest amongst them was that girl and the vice captain of City Z4." She points at the winning fighter from stage one and points at a large man sitting on the audience seat.

"In fact, that girl barely won, that guy came from the berserker tribe and just like Sweet Fruit, he can go berserk, his two pet beasts also has a berserk ability, if it weren’t for Prim and Missel, he might had been the winner." Principal Maki feels pity for the vice captain of City Z4, his lost was caused by his own strength.

He was so strong that Missel, Prim and the vice captain of City Z1 had to work together to take him and his pet beasts down.

The poor vice captain of City Z3 was unfortunately taken down first because he was the one that forced the vice captain of City Z4 to go berserk.

Hearing all of this, Sean quickly realizes that maybe City Z4 was the strongest below those from City Z1 but their strength is concentrated in their main combatant.

As everyone find their seat, the referee starts cleaning the arena while a seductive looking girl starts announcing.

"Greetings everyone! I am Christine Wind! The vice principal of the academy of City Z2 and the your host! I’m here to introduce to you the winners of round 1!"

She then waves her hand and Jericho feels something pushing him to take a step forward.

"The first fighter I’m going to introduce is the one that shocked all of us! No one expected him to win but he destroyed all doubt with his unique pet beasts!"

"Let me introduce to you the student from City Z5! The winner of stage 2! Jericho! The only iron rank of the first round champions! And his pet beast, the Rare Grade, Golden Sword Wolf!"

Everyone starts clapping but none of them believes that he’s truly the winner, they only admires his pet beast not himself.

"The second fighter! The winner of the match deemed to be the best match in first round! The champion of stage one! Ophria Soffy! A bronze rank tier 3 student with two popular per beasts, the well known Rare Grade, Living Armor and the famous bronze rank, Rare Grade, juvenile Titan Centipede!"

"The third fighter! The winner of stage stage 3! The captain of the famous snow filled city of our zone, Mistress Witch! Known for being the daughter of the Witch Queen, she carries the hope and pride of her tribe! With her bronze rank tier 4 strength, together with her bronze rank, Rare Grade, Ice Golem and her bronze rank, Excellent Grade, Snow Fairy, she’s a force to be feared with!"

"The fourth figther! Known for his friendly personality, no one would associate with the word "Scary" but all those who faced him calls him strong! The champion of stage 4 and the successor of Wind Family! John Wind! With his tier 5 bronze rank strength, together with the powerful two bronze rank pet beasts the Rare Grade, Four Winged Goliath Eagle and the mystique creature that’s been passed on by his family for decades, solidifying their position at City Z2, the Excellent Grade, Griffin!"

"Finally! The one deemed as the strongest of the younger generation! He had defeated almost all the geniuses from the top ten cities excluding City Z4 and City Z5! The champion of stage 5 and the captain of City Z1, soldier Raleigh John! The student with the highest cultivation! Bronze Rank tier 6, look at him calmly taking a step forward, wearing his Rare Grade Living Armor and riding his bronze rank, Forest Horned Horse!"

John locks eyes with Jericho, the latter also looks at him and shakes his head.

He points at Ophria, seeing this, John nods his head.

"Let the match for the strongest student of Zone Z commence!" Shouts Christine but those that knows the truth thinks that this match isn’t really even stating the truth.

As long as Sean exist, no matter who the winner is, they can only be second place.

John shouts. "Jericho, I’ll leave Ophria to you!"

He then rides his Griffin as they soar to the sky, locking eyes with Raleigh.

Mistress Witch chuckles, the arena around her starts to be covered with snow as her Ice Golem starts growing bigger.

Meanwhile, Jericho dashes towards Ophria, stopping her from teaming up with Raleigh.

She sneers and sends her Titan Centipede, even though it’s still a juvenile, when it raises it’s body, it’s already standing at 3 meters.

Jericho wasn’t afraid, before it can attack him, something tackles it, sending it far away.

Piercing Tackle!

Golden howls as it locks eyes with the Titan Centipede and his eyes are radiating intense light that of a predator.

The Titan Centipede is one rank higher than him but after his battle with the elephant, he feels that he’s just one step before reaching tier 9 and he can’t wait to achieve it.

The Titan Centipede isn’t like the elephant, it’s quick and flexible with fangs full of venom.

Both of them dodges and attacks each other but both did not manage to sink their teeth in at each other.

Sensing the danger, the Titan Centipede’s carapace suddenly shines with metallic sheen, the two attacks causes sparks to fly.

Even with Sharpness boost, Golden was unable to pierce through the carapace, his expression turns serious as he crouches and is now aiming to use it’s strongest attack which is his bite.

The Titan Centipede tries to coil around him but he dodges and let out a loud roar, causing it to pause.

He leaps at it but it suddenly moves and he was slapped by it’s tail.

He was stunned, he didn’t expect that his opponent would be able to trick him but seeing that it was shaking it’s head and glaring at him, he was confused. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Sean watching from the audience stand chuckles, even after being hit by a stun attack, the Titan Centipede was able to react just by instinct.

It looks like the tail seems to have a mind of it’s own, directly attacking without even the command of it’s mind.

While Golden and the Titan Centipede was fighting neck to neck, the battle between their two masters is vastly different.

Jericho was focusing in defense since he had already tasted just how tough the Living Armor is.

After sparring with the soldiers, he knows that he can’t pierce through even with Fang.

Besides, Ophria is covered with it, even her eyes is covered by a thin frame that doesn’t hinder her sight.

He has to play it safe and hopefully, Golden can defeat his opponent.

Ophria was angry, she can’t believe that she’s unable to take down Jericho quickly.

Her attacks were dodged with ease and he’s even trying to attack her, even though his attacks only feels ticklish for her, it still says that without the armour, she might be helpless against his attacks.

Taking a deep breath, she calms herself, this was taught to her by her master, she then starts attacking in a much solid manner.

This might work with other students but this is the worst strategy you might use against someone like Jericho who’s both a good fighter and an excellent hunter.

Just like Sean expected, her strength and positioning might had improved but she fails to hit Jericho.

’Modern martial arts might lack lethality compared to martial arts in this world but they are clearly greater in versatility, Jericho fighting with his classmates has gained enough experience to dodge such attacks.’ Sean thought.

The fighting style Ophria is using leads to steady destruction towards her target, at the same time, giving her a stable foothold of her position.

This might work against large mystique creatures but against someone as nimble and experienced as Jericho, it’s clearly not going to work.

She also notices this and was stunned, this fighting style was honed by her by hunting numerous mystique creatures, it had never failed her.

Jericho’s fighting style honed from fighting humans while hers was honed through fighting mystique creatures, their two style are fundamentally different.

She changes her tactics and tries a more direct approach, no longer caring on defending herself.

Sean nods his head, this was the correct decision, Jericho isn’t a mystique creature, his strength can’t compare to one and his defense is also not as great as one.

With Living Armor, forsaking defense for offense is the correct decision.

Jericho is now slowly retreating, even if he hits her with a counter, she won’t take any damage from it.

His martial arts consists of multiple beasts but there are two beasts that he’s familiar and that’s a wolf fang, derived from Golden and the muscular coiling power of a snake.

Just as she was about to punch him, he takes a step forward and grapples her to the ground.

Coiling around her body, locking her joints, he wasn’t proud on using this skill because it only works at humanoids, clearly not best for hunting but he was forced to use it in this match.

’Jericho, you’re so foolish, had you forgotten the skill of the Living Armor?’ Sean slaps his forehead.

Ophria’s armour is now covered in blood as the spikes pierces through Jericho’s body.

The scene shocked everyone except for Sean, he already expected this.

Jericho curses himself as he quickly escapes but his face was hit by a punch.

Ophria wouldn’t let such a chance go bye, she relentlessly attack him, fists raining on his body.

She then blows him away with her martial art, she looks at Jericho, who rolls to the floor, bloodied by her attack.

She frowns, that feeling was much harder than she thought.
