Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven-Chapter 316: Red Seas
Ved continued battling the herald of blood. The sea below turned into blood itself, tendrils rose to the sky to bound him.
Some went for Naledi who was relaxing, Ved shot a beam of nuclear energy disintegrating them.
" Oh no you don’t, don’t you know it’s rude to interrupt a lady while she’s eating you uncultured swine?"
The herald paused not knowing how to respond to that. Ved looked down at Naledi and sighed.
" But my sweet angel I’m still gonna need you to pick up your slack, this guy is stronger than I thought he would be."
Naledi nodded but still didn’t move, she continued eating her bowl of yoghurt slowly. Ved turned back to the herald who was looking at him with confusion.
He had never faced such a situation before, it was truly strange. It made him furious and he attacked.
Creatures of blood rose from the blood sea and lunged at Ved. The red giant attacked him as well.
It reached down and a sword of blood was created from the sea blood, red flames burnt around the blade.
Ved was not to be outdone, he created his own giant sword and coated it with nuclear flames.
With a single swing he split space apart, a wave of blue fire spread out like a crescent slash.
It evaporated the blood creatures, before he could react th blood sword cut him in half, even with his new found strength, the herald was still a monster.
His regeneration kicked in, the herald tried to attack him while he was regenating, he conjured shields to block.
The blood sword cut through them like they were wet pieces of paper but that bought him some time.
He controlled his sword with his will and gently tapped the tip of the blood sword diverting most of it force.
His own blade shattered in the process, he used that force to push himself away from the blood sword.
His body healed and he pounced on the herald again, they clashed over and over again.
The herald rendered most of his abilities useless, whether it’d be most poisons or nuclear energy.
The only thing that was effective was his lightning and dream mist. Even his most terrifying poison, the black death was ineffective.
The red flames burnt it away before it could even reach the herald. However Ved felt excited instead.
The herald had the power to kill him as evident by his projected image but it wasn’t going to be easy.
Evertime he got wounded he grew stronger, his physical strength grew to absurd levels. The red giant kicked him.
His scales shattered and he crashed on the sea below. His tree shook pouring green light on him.
His regeneration healed him almost instantly. By the time he hit the blood sea he was already healed.
He tried to fly back up but tendrils of blood bound his body and dragged him below before he could even react.
It happened so fast even Naledi was startled, she almost jumped in to held when green light exploded below the sea.
The red blood sea evaporated shrouding the entire place for thousands of kilometres with thick red fog.
Ved flew back out, spikes of blood stabbed all over his body, he looked like a porcupine, his blood poured below.
Before it touched the sea it rose and the herald consumed it faster than either of them could react.
The herald moaned with pleasure,
" Delicious." He whispered then his aura started growing stronger.
" Pity, it’s too soon, your blood is yet to be pure." This confused both Naledi and Ved. They had no idea what he was talking about nor did they care.
It seemed Ved’s blood increased his strength then Ved remembered how many time he had bled in this fight.
Before he could react he saw drops of blood with his scent rising to the sky. For the first time Naledi reacted.
Ved roared and lightning fell from the sky like spears disintegrating the blood drops, he shot a beam of nuclear energy from his mouth and spears of second order extinguishing tribulation lightning from his horns.
Naledi shot a ray of blue light that froze everything for hundreds of kilometres but they were too late.
More than 60 percent of the blood was still consumed by the herald. The blood moon above seemed to grow larger.
The world turned a shade deeper of red, the scent of blood spread through the entire planet.
Mortals and rank 1 awakened age vessel holders felt their blood heat up. They started ventilating like they were running out of air.
Those who had stronger people next to them were lucky. Fortunately most spiritual beasts and humans lived in cities so they received help.
Those living outside were not so fortunate, they died of their blood boiling, even babies were not spared.
Mothers had to watch as their children screamed in agony and dying a cruel death before they took followed.
Fathers wallowed in their weakness as their children and wives died Infront of them before they took followed.
Their fates were worse, because of their stronger bodies even as mortals they had to suffer the agony even longer.
They had to watch the people they loved die, some chose to end their lives and that of their loved ones to save them the pain.
The leaders around the world were all shaken but the worst was yet to come. With tons of Ved’s blood the herald was able to do way more.
All bodies of water around the world turned blood red, sea creatures panicked, those strong enough took to the sky.
The weaker ones were not so fortunate and the blood sea dissolved then like acid. They screamed in agony and perished.
Sea spiritual beasts were more fortunate, the weaker ones were rescued and carried by stronger members of their clan.
Then the sea, lakes and rivers bubbled like boiling blood. Out came a countless number of blood vermin.
The herald has used the world’s bodies of natural water as a gateway to the void. Naledi and Ved received the news.
The herald smiled provocatively at them,
" Even dormant, the blood of an origin child is still the best after all."
Naledi stood up, her eyes looking down but her aura kept growing higher and higher. Then she raised her head and looked at the herald.
" You should die now." Her voice came out like a cold declaration.
