Long Wei looked forward to her union with Xuan, she was certain that it would not only accelerate their growth but also unseal the memories of their past lives.

"Right now, I feel like an entity that can burn for eternity—something that fuels rebirth and destruction at the same time," Xuan spoke, letting them know how he felt about this new awakening.

"I’m sorry for leaving. This must have made you upset, especially husband," she apologized, her tone low and sad.

Xuan was the first to respond. "I won’t say that I’m not angry after knowing about your situation, but it’s not your fault. It’s the fault of those people who brought you here without your consent."

"We don’t have time for that." Just as he finished, the door burst open and a few men entered.

Due to the array Xuan had placed earlier, no one from outside could sense that there were others present besides Ru Feng.

However, upon forcefully opening the door, they saw two more beauties accompanying Ru Feng, but then their eyes landed on the man who was still naked, lying on Ru Feng’s bed.

"Insolent!" Long Wei cursed as her eyes landed on Ru Feng’s other cousin and the guards of the city lord.

"Who are you? And you... how did a man sneak into our Ru family estate, under the nose of so many people?" Ru Lian retorted in anger.

The guards had the same surprised expression, seeing Xuan who had somehow slipped under their surveillance and into Ru Feng’s room. Looking at his state, it was clear to them that he must share some deep relation with Ru Feng and the other beauties.

One of them answered, "Only Ru Guan visited twice since morning. He must be the one behind this."

Ru Lian’s veins bulged. "He still won’t understand until his daughter ends up with some elder of the Sha family," he cursed his own uncle Ru Guan and cousin sister Ru Ning, then ordered the guards, "Go apprehend them all."

Ru Feng, seeing his actions and words, yelled, "Ru Lian, you have sold your soul to the Sha family! You won’t even blink at selling your own cousin sisters like things."

Ru Lian laughed, but his anger didn’t subside. "Selling my cousin sister! What are you even thinking? I’m doing this for your own sake, and for the future of our Ru family."

Xuan, watching from behind, chuckled, but his tone was stern. "Feng’er, is he the one who abducted you from Cloud Severing City?"

His question was direct. At this moment, he didn’t care about the Sha family or the Ru family. To him, the only ones who mattered were the three women in front of him.

Ru Feng nodded. Xuan looked at Ru Lian, who suddenly felt a chill run down his spine. Ru Lian felt like a wild beast had set its eyes on him.

However, seeing him alone and their numbers, Ru Lian gathered his courage, pulling out his sword.

"Attack together!" one of them shouted, knowing that if they didn’t act, they might end up as pathetic as Ru Lian.

Their shout was met by Bai Hua brandishing her spear, which sent a chill through the guards’ bones.

Long Wei also had her sword. She looked at Ru Feng, "This might destroy your home, but don’t blame me." With excitement in her tone, she jumped on the guards.

Chaos. It was utter chaos.

The guards couldn’t hold their own against the two women and also ended up in a sorry state like Ru Lian, who couldn’t speak as his jaw was wrecked after Long Wei’s single slap.

Soon the whiff of confrontation reached the entire Ru family, who rushed to see the situation.

This was no mere trespass. Someone was challenging his authority in his own city, and the audacity of it all intrigued him.

"Surround the estate," he commanded, his voice filled with cold fury. "Tell the men they are not to leave. Their only exit from my city will be through death."
