Barbaric Spouse, Descry the Night's Lure-Chapter 31: Scene XXXI
It was an authoritative glare that she received for her words. One that was natural from her Spouse. Nonetheless, a smirk was then granted by the man.
The crossed limbs he had held in front dissolved. Turning to the many men filling the Hall, his arms extended to hear and feel the silence everyone should clasp in preparation. For their Barbaric Lord was to speak and growl in celebration.
"My Wife... Smelly bastards."
"OooOooUu!!!!"
Triumphant, he sneered to the proud men cheering in guttural sound for their Lord.
His hand went for the wine on his jack and gulping the juice without restraint in excitement, Aslak growled to the men once more. Giving start to the feast with no care for luxurious speech.
"Today, damn formalities end! Drink till you faint and brawl til you die!! Your Master has his Woman and you have another Jazhara to serve!!... Pour the mead and wine... You can fall off the cliff for all I care!"
"OOoooooOOOoooUu!!!"
More cheers in primitive screams made the air tremble with the people’s excitement, being the great host’s that joined after finishing off his drink, the one that sent shivers through Ewelina’s blood.
"...!"
The sight was overwhelming for any outsider. The wildness of these lands could be felt in their loud celebration. Reverberating through the air, making the stones of the wall and the firm ground tremble with the inherent savagery of their cores.
Ewelina was aghast in fascination for in her memories similar barbarity had never been witnessed.
’... Such... Piercing strength these men must hold...’ — Certain she contemplated at their palpable energy as their scream continued to heighten its volume while some commenced lurking the other, menacing in a dance that desired violence with their neverending growls.
Taking the recipient containing the expensive juice, Aslak drank more of its intoxicating taste, drowning in the excitement of the starting celebration.
"Gulp, Gulp, gulp...... Haaa...." — His throat loudly showed the big thirst of the man. And once no drop was left...
Thump! Thud.. thud...
Licking his edges and wiping his jaw roughly with the back of his limb, he threw the recipient. And came to take a near plate to also throw its food... to then turn, holding it in his hand as he stomped his way to her.
"!?" — Like a beast, his march frightened her making her jump at the man’s speed. Confused because of his unknown intentions.
Nonetheless, she remained fixed in her spot. And roughly taking her by the waist, Aslak’s head tilted, reassuring her as he shook her closer.
"No one will see." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"What–?!..nnah.....!"
Devouring her in a ruthless kiss, Aslak did not permit a retort as he covered their intertwining with the plate. Squeezing her against himself for deeper reach and forcing the surrender from his surprised Wife that slowly yielded to his kiss with the greedy hands that ended up holding his countenance. Solely to continue enjoying the grazes of their tongues that the excited screams of the crowd celebrated.
"..ha... huff... mn... Husband... "
She gasped at the man separating from her, who only did so to declare with malicious amusement.
"Since it’s our wedding in their eyes. We should be permitted this much."
"... haa... Wedding?"
"Formalities. With this... Haa..." — Aslak came to lick her while he spoke, making sure to cover their close countenances as he flashed the flare of his gaze to the dazed woman and resumed the joint of their flesh. — "My people have officially been given the celebration our marriage demanded... It’s our wedding to our people."
"mn!"
Pouncing on her, Aslak kissed her, indifferent to her surprise, and inhaled the breath that left her. Lustful, seemingly infected by the taste of wine and the sweetness of her mouth.
"Archduke Myrkzver! What kind of debauchery is this!? This is not proper–!!"
"Shut the fuck up..." — Pointing the peak of the axe he carried, Aslak glared at the distasteful Baron that had come near to stop him. — "In my Territory. In my wedding. I do the bloody hell I want."
"!!" — The ruthless attitude of the Husband keeping her in his stuffing grasp had the woman speechless for a moment.
It was known to Ewelina that Aslak was a wild barbaric man. Famed through the Kingdom as the crudest, to the point of no noble being willing to offer a woman to be wedded to him.
At this time, Ewelina was witnessing the man’s violent nature when treating others that were not herself. And it was overwhelmingly unlike the kind of ferocity he had shown her in their privacy.
The decisiveness of the arm that was threatening the baron was too sharp to be empty of menace... It was likely... That blood would be spilt if the Baron was to say the wrong words.
"... Husband...?"
"What?"
"... If it’s our wedding... Could you not spill any blood?" — She came up to whisper, loudly enough for the Baron to hear and reflex. — "... At least not just as the celebration began..."
Ewelina was nervous as she spoke because she was ignorant of her Husband’s ways in this ambience... Yet she attempted with sly murmurs, to save her stepfather’s head from being cut at the whim of her Spouse.
"... Alright..." — Aslak granted, to then kiss her in a greedy smooch, lowering his hand... aware of what she intended. Yet smirking to invite her to the table. — "I won’t since you asked. Come sit, woman. We should eat. A great hunt was prepared for tonight’s feast."
In his brutish ways, he still helped Ewelina with her chair and gave gestures to bring out the warm food, as his arm naturally came to support itself in her seat’s back. Confident and vastly comfortable in the loud ambience.
... Meanwhile, Ewelina tried to calm the rush her heart had gone into, observing curiously at the joyful people. Yet glancing cautiously at the overwhelming man seating next to her.
The food quickly arrived along with more wine and mead to help their throats and delight.
"... Do you want wine, woman?"
"Ah..." — Not waiting for her acceptance, Aslak served her cup. Causing a discreet laugh in sarcasm to escape, amused at his selfishness. — "Yes. Thank you."
"You should eat some of these too."
Now serving her plate, Aslak commenced to pile up different dishes they had at their table. Being meat the one he served most to his wife.
"Ah... Wait... Husband, I cannot eat that much."
"What? But this is little food, woman."
"... Husband... Truly... I cannot eat all of this..."
"..... That’s odd... Even at breakfast, I don’t eat this little."
"It is because I am not you, Husband." — Taking back some of the food to fill his yet-to-be-served plate, Ewelina gently told the attentive man.
"... Right. You’re a woman... Do women eat that little?"
"Most do." — She replied, busy continuing to free her plate.
Scowling at her doubtless reply, he kept watching displeased as more and more food was discarded from her plate. Ultimately taking her hand to stop its motion.
"Don’t take away anything more. You are practically not eating if you take any more away."
"... But... truly, this is..." — Glancing at the four pieces of meat, the two mountains of vegetables and the remaining big piece of bread next to them, Ewelina commenced to tell. Concerned, for it was still too much for her stomach to take.
"Eat it. You will need it if you want vitality."
"Hm? Yet... Husband... With what I usually eat..."
Troubled by the man’s insistence, she turned to him sorry for his words that implied good intentions.
Nonetheless... The man that leaned onto her, turning in his seat to express the truth of his intentions into her ear... Caused her thoughtful intention to disappear.
"Today is the scheduled night, woman..."
"..."
She lifted her visage to meet his smudged eyes and followed their sight’s path as they lowered. Ultimately reaching the other hand of her Husband, which went under the table to touch her knee and squeeze the flesh above, trying to climb her length as he smirked in a mischievous whisper.
"Aside from our wedding, we have other matters to take care of...... Eat well, Wife."
