Back to the 80s: Raising my Wolfy Boyfriend-Chapter 171: Cousin’s Warm Farewell on a Rainy Day
She smiled and said to Gu Jiajie, "I’ll give you a call."
The village chief’s house has a phone, so they can call anytime.
Gu Jiajie was mainly thinking about opening a hotpot restaurant, but this needed to be taken slowly, especially since the rainy season hadn’t officially ended.
Gu Jin watched her uncle, aunt, cousin, and cousin move all the things out of the house.
Some were moved to the kitchen, and some to the main house.
After they finished moving things, Gu Jin also started packing her belongings.
She took out the suitcase and began tidying up the clothes from the wardrobe, most of which were the clothes she had bought since her rebirth.
There were also a few clothes that her father, Gu Dehao, had brought for her.
An Mingji was silent for a while before he finally spoke, "Sister A Jin, are we leaving?"
"Yes, we need to go to some places to resolve some matters, and afterward, we’ll go to Wanhai City to handle the school enrollment procedures."
While organizing clothes, Gu Jin explained to the little guy.
She had almost finished packing her things and moved on to pack the little guy’s clothes.
When she was done, the suitcase was full of clothes, and there was an additional travel bag packed with quite a few things.
After ensuring nothing was left behind in the room, Gu Jin walked over to the little guy.
She held his hand, "Little An, we’re leaving tomorrow, and the next month might be a bit tough. Can you endure it?"
"I can!"
As long as he could follow her, An Mingji could endure any hardship.
"Alright, let’s get to bed early tonight."
After the little guy was lying on the bed, Gu Jin thought for a moment, put on a coat, and left the room.
She was leaving, and although the decision was a bit rushed, she needed to inform her grandfather. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Standing in front of the old man’s door, instead of knocking, Gu Jin lowered her voice and asked, "Grandpa, are you awake?"
"With all that noise, even if I was asleep, I’d be awake now."
The old man’s voice came from inside, with a hint of complaint.
Gu Jin stood in front of the door, pursing her lips, "Grandpa, I’m leaving with Little An tomorrow to Wanhai City for school enrollment."
There was silence in the room.
After a long while, a voice finally came that was indifferent in its tone.
"Got it."
Gu Jin stood at the door, glanced at the dim sky, and said calmly, "Earlier, I asked uncle and aunt to move some food to my house. There’s enough rice and flour for the family for half a year."
"Got it."
The old man’s tone was low, and after Gu Jin said a few more words, she left.
Early the next morning, before the sky brightened, Gu Jin and An Mingji were already awake. They planned to leave quietly, as Gu Jin didn’t like long goodbyes.
Unfortunately, she had misjudged someone.
Opening the door and seeing her cousin standing at the door with a drizzle in the background, yawning and wiping tears from tiredness, Gu Jin felt a mix of complexity and warmth.
She softly asked, "Why didn’t you sleep a bit longer?"
Gu Jiajie glanced sideways at the suitcase and travel bag in her hands, and pouted, "If I slept a bit longer, you’d be gone."
He stepped forward to take the suitcase from Gu Jin’s hand and headed toward the main gate, where a bicycle was parked.
Gu Jin carried a travel bag in one hand and held the hand of the now taller little guy with the other as they walked over.
"Isn’t that the village chief’s bicycle?"
"Yeah, I went out last night and borrowed it."
Gu Jiajie, too sleepy, yawned again, placed the suitcase on the bicycle’s rear seat, then turned to look at Gu Jin who was approaching.
