Awakened: Evolving to Godhood-Chapter 260 - The Library Of The Soul Race!
While on his way back home, he met Lucy. Under the starry skies, she looked more beautiful than before. Well, her blinding beauty wasn't all thanks to the artificial lights and the stars. It was mostly thanks to her golden, wavy hair that reached her waist. There was a seductive petal-like mark in the middle of her forehead. It was of pink color, and it certainly added a few points to her beauty. The only thing she was missing right now was a luxurious dress. Wearing that, she would look like a perfect 10!
"How can I ever repay you?"
Her golden eyes looked at him with intense emotion. Elliot took it as gratitude. The item Lucy won was a shield. By pouring energy into the petal-like mark between her eyebrows, she could summon a shield that would protect her from physical and magical attacks and also curses. Depending on the strength of the attack, the shield would negate all the damage or a big part of the damage!
"Well, I know of a way."
When Elliot said that, he had a playful smile on his face, making Lucy believe that he was not serious.
"I'm all ears."
Still, she wanted to hear what he wanted to say.
"When you want to get married and are looking for a man to tie the red thread with, think about me. If you find no one better than me, then come and become my bride."
"I will seriously think about it."
Whether it was a joke or not, both of them didn't care.
Lucy and Elliot's hearts knew what they wanted the best.
In Elliot's case, not many managed to enter his eyes. Those who tried to hook up with him back in the artifact gallery, he could tell their nefarious and evil intentions at first glance. In order to not fall for their petty tricks, he chose to stay away from them but also mingle with some of them while keeping a respectable distance. However, Lucy lacked all those things that he disdained, and thus he found her pleasing to the eyes, and maybe that's why he wanted to tie her to his side. Of course, he knew that forcing his twisted desires on someone would never end well, so he willingly gave her the right to choose.
Lucy was happy to be with him. Actually, she was already pretty much in love with him. Elliot had treated her really well. He had already given her so many good things that it was impossible for her to not accept him. But as she believed that throwing herself into his hands would come off as her being a slut or an easy to seduce girl, she didn't say her feelings out loud.
After returning to their home, they split up and went inside their respective room. Elliot sat down on his bed. Grace and Little Nightmare were already sleeping on the couch next to his bed. He waved his hand, and a blanket fell over the two little ones, covering them from the cold.
Elliot didn't give Lucy the supernatural cells evolution elixir. First off, he wanted to decode the recipe that was on the bottle. Without doing that, he wasn't willing to part with the elixir. Secondly, he wanted to special gift it to Lucy on a special occasion. What they might be was something he didn't know but was looking forward to experiencing.
…
The new day began with vibrant rays of light shining from the sky and illuminating the entire zone. The second thing Elliot, who was hardly able to sleep last night because he kept thinking about decoding the recipe, did after waking up was go to Theo's home.
"What are you doing?"
When he reached Theo's home, he saw John leaning on his head in front of the entrance.
"Reflecting on his mistakes," Theo answered in place of John, who was shedding imaginary tears of blood. If he knew that he would offend this ancestor after getting drunk, he wouldn't have taken a single sip of alcohol! At least that way, he would have avoided this disaster!
"What made you come here so early in the morning?"
"I need your help in accessing the library."
"Right now?"
"As early as possible."
"You're really impatient.
"Did you even have breakfast?
"Breakfast can wait, but my thirst for ancient history and new knowledge can not."
After laughing at John's miserable state, Theo and Elliot started talking about the important stuff. Elliot couldn't access the library without the membership card that only a member of the resistance could get. The damn gate didn't budge open no matter how much strength he used. In the end, he came here to ask for help. Theo wanted to repay the many favors he owed Elliot, so he immediately went to the library with him. He didn't even wait to wash his face or wear his shirt!
"The library has two floors. Everything on the first is free of charge, but you will have to pay spirit points to enter and read the techniques and books on the second floor. The rules of this place are also simple. Just don't harm things or make a lot of noise, and you'll be fine. And yeah, ignore all the dogs that bark at you."
Theo said after using his membership card to open the gate, causing an interdimensional portal to appear in its place. 𝒇r𝙚𝙚𝓌𝙚𝑏𝗻𝑜𝘷𝗲𝘭.c૦𝑚
"I got it."
After jumping into the portal, Elliot appeared in a place where different races roamed. Some of them had antennae on their heads, and others looked cute because of their cat-like ears. Bunny girls in a black suit holding some books in their hands walked back and forth between tables and bookshelves, serving customers with the books they wanted to read. Many tried to tease them, but they acted as if they were deaf and ignored them. Outside the window, he could see the vastness of the universe.. A river of stars was just outside of this mountain-like spaceship where times flow differently. The time here was ten times slower than the housing District of the ancient settlement!
