Astral Flower-Chapter 64: Information

Nan Hua’s eyes flickered. Her knowledge in regards to Nan Family was limited to the few that had been searched by the organization and a few bits that she had researched on her own. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

But as their children, Nan Xian Mu and Nan Xian Tang naturally knew more about these things.

All she needed to do was ask.

"Mrs. Nan is paying close attention to you?" Nan Hua asked in a low voice.

"Huh? Which one do you mean?" Nan Xian Mu couldn’t tell which one Nan Hua called until he saw her gaze on him.

Nan Xian Mu nodded lightly. "You see, my mother had designated me as the successor for her broken company. She didn’t want anything to happen to me and want me to compete with the other children from Lin Family so that the company will not fall to their hand."

Their mother’s surname was Lin. Even though the company was technically under Lin Mei Yu, their mother’s, hand, behind it was the entire Lin Family. The Lin Family might not be able to match Nan Family, but it was still a big and powerful family with great resources.

There were many children who were talented and powerful in the Lin Family.

Back then, Lin Mei Yu won against her siblings and become the current head of Lin Family, controlling the entire company and everything. But the other siblings were ambitious and also cultivated their children to inherit the company.

After all, Lin Mei Yu had Nan Family, right?

Thus, there were some conflicts that broke out from time to time in the Lin Family. With Nan Xian Mu expected to become the successor of the company, it was impossible for there to be peace.

"The people from Lin Family disagreed?" Nan Hua asked quietly.

Nan Xian Mu nodded. "Well, I’m not that worried about those cousins of ours. They can’t be compared with me at all."

When he said this, it was not without basis. In the years of education along with his own natural talent, he had grasped many parts of the business. Even though he was not allowed to wield real power yet, Nan Xian Mu still understood the flow of the business quite well.

Most of the time, he would not show off his claws, though.

His grandfather taught him to be stable and diligent. Thus, he didn’t actually show off his abilities much and often made his mother worry about this and that because he didn’t compare with the other children of Lin Family.

Nan Hua nodded.

"There will be competition for business too," Nan Xian Tang interjected. "It’s in the Virtual World and there are a lot of people who will participate. The children of Lin Family are estimated to come and try to gain more momentum to show off their talents."

"I see."

There were various competitions in the Virtual World. Business was only one of them that had been done many times in the past.

"Ah, just some useless competitions." Nan Xian Mu snorted. "There are too many things that actually affect whether a business can start or not. These things are shown too visibly in the competition, making it relatively useless."

Nan Xian Tang looked at Nan Xian Mu speechlessly.

But thinking that he had no talent in business field at all, he chose not to say anything and only nodded his head.

"Don’t worry too much about my affairs. I can deal with these supervisions and just interact well with her." Nan Xian Mu looked relaxed, but only he knew that he didn’t actually dare to speak this out loud when he was in front of his mother.

Nan Hua glanced at Nan Xian Mu.

When she was in Nan Family Residence, she had seen him hiding and didn’t dare to look at their mother when she was yelling something.

The means of their mother was not something children could easily handle.

"We’re here to have fun." Nan Xian Tang also nodded. "Forget about these things at home."

"Yeah, but if your mother become a demon again and try to ask you to do strange things..."

Nan Xian Tang kicked Nan Xian Mu before the latter could finish speaking. "She wouldn’t do anything as long as I’m still in the academy, so worry about yourself more."

"Duh..." Nan Xian Mu groaned but didn’t say anything else.

Nan Hua listened to their interaction and felt that the wives that Old Master Nan’s children picked might not be very good in the eyes of their children for one or another reasons. Even though she was not entirely sure about it, she could guess based on how aversive Nan Xian Tang and Nan Xian Mu were towards their mother.

But they were still good and obedient kid on the surface.

"I’m logging out now." Nan Xian Mu put away the grass he had collected for missions and waved his hand.

Nan Xian Mu walked out of the cabin and saw that his friends were all still inside the cabins, not returning yet. He washed up and changed his clothes as he watched the clock turned to 11 O’clock.

Ring! Ring!

With an expressionless face, Nan Xian Mu picked his phone and clicked answer.

"Mom?"

"Xiao Mu?" Lin Mei Yu, Mrs. Nan, answered. She had just quarreled with Nan Hai Yan, her husband, again. However, she would never forget that she needed to check her son’s progress.

"I’m on the bed."

"Good. Sleep early and get a lot of rest. Have you signed up for the Spring Competition?" Lin Mei Yu asked.

Nan Xian Mu furrowed his eyebrows. The Spring Competition referred to various competitions that was held in spring, which started next week. Students from various fields could participate in the category that suited them the most.

Their competitor would be everyone in City A from selected schools.

"Mom, I don’t want to..."

"What do you not want to? Forget it, I’ll help you to sign up. Your cousins are all participating in the competition and will achieve great result. If you can’t show your talent in front of your grandfather, you..."

Nan Xian Mu sat on his bed with a gloomy expression, looking at the phone screen while his mother kept on chattering.
