Chapter 487: Nan Hua’s Past: Mecha’s Training

The young Nan Hua looked at the row of mecha and ran towards the mecha number 1. She looked at the large mecha in front of her and entered the cockpit, looking through the information about the use of the mecha.

This mecha is not the suit mecha, but the medium sized mecha that normally wouldn’t be used for practice.

The cockpit was quite large and the young Nan Hua stood in the middle, looking at the screen in front of her and also the helmet on top of her. She reached out and wore the helmet, feeling pain in her head as her mental consciousness was connected to this mecha in front of her.

In that moment, she was able to ’see’ almost everything of the mecha and control this large mecha.

The young Nan Hua looked at the map and calculated the distance.

She slowly stretched her leg forward and took a step, then another step. Her brain had received countless information about the condition of the mecha that she was using and also the stability.

After a few minutes, the young Nan Hua started to run.

Behind her, the other mechas number 2 to 10 slowly followed suit.

These children were all the children with the best performance in section 13 and when they were given the task, they would be able to complete it at the shortest time possible.

Many other children were still stumbling at the back.

But they also quickly recovered from their clumsiness and forced themselves to adapt to the information that was rushing to their brain and focus to control the mecha to run and rushed to the destination.

Even if they felt extreme discomfort, they would never give up.

And all of them have mental strength above 2 at young age, which meant that they were all able to show their mental strength out of their brain. This also allowed them to be able to bear the burden of controlling the mecha.

If they fail, they would only be eliminated.

After years of struggle, they all understood that and the young Nan Hua was not an exception.

Drap! Drap! Drap!

The young Nan Hua saw the terrain in front of her and leapt to the side, rolling on the ground.

What followed afterwards was the sound of explosion.

’Mines and traps.’ The young Nan Hua looked at the field in front of her and looked around, trying to find other routes that could reach the destination the easiest when she sensed danger and dashed forward.

Boom!

The young Nan Hua turned her head and saw the mecha’s no. 2 was shooting towards her. Her black obsidian eyes showed coldness. "Do you want to die, Lei?"

"You’re the one who will die, Hua." The boy inside the mecha no.2 sneered. "There’s no restriction for battles here, are there?"

"I see."

The young Nan Hua’s mecha suddenly dashed forward and the two blades appeared from the two arms. The boy from mecha no.2 quickly shot once more.

Bang!

The shot reached the ground and Nan Hua swiftly avoided it and then slashed towards the leg of the mecha no. 2.

BOOM!

Explosion followed and then Nan Hua dashed forward, leaving Lei in the state of embarrassment.

"Damn it!"

The other mechas looked at Lei and suddenly attacked.

"$%^&*!"

There has never been any friendship between each and every single one of them. They were all here only for the sake of survival. If they could trample on the person whose rank was higher than theirs, it meant that their ranking would rise.

Who wouldn’t want better treatment and higher chance of survival?

So when other people fell down, what they did was simply to step forward and take this chance to kill or eliminate them.

As for what happened to them when they were down?

No one cared.

Drap! Drap! Drap!

The young Nan Hua continued to run, watching the traps around her even with her head throbbing in pain and discomfort. The performance just now was enough to solve Lei but if another one was to make trouble, she was not sure that she would be able to do the same.

Now, all she wanted was to reach the base and stayed there.

Only when she finish the task would these children would not attack her fiercely. Even if they were allowed to fight, but it was not allowed to be done in front of the instructor.

...

<Back to the present>

Nan Hua was already the number 1 in section 13 when they started that practice. At that time she was naturally the first one to finish too.

Controlling the mecha was as natural as moving her arms and there was no trouble at all for her. Because she was forced to do it and challenge her limit.

If she was not wrong, after that practice, more than 10 children from section 13 were incapacitated and moved to other section. They couldn’t withstand the flow of information to their brain from their connection to the mecha.

Thankfully, as long as they were not a cripple yet, they would only be transferred to section 12, 10, or 9 depending on their abilities.

If they were crippled, they would only be sent to section 4 but not as the members. Instead, they would be sent as the research rat to be dissected and treated as nothing more than object.

Section 13 is simply a life or die place where it was nothing more than survival to the fullest.

If they were unable to survive, then they will die.

So, compared to those brutal trainings, this little training was nothing for Nan Hua. In fact, she was able to run directly and only slowed down her progress so as not to make herself too eye catching.

"Hua’er?" Feng Yu Hua called out. She noticed Nan Hua was staying still. "Do you need help?"

"I’m fine," Nan Hua replied. "You should focus on yourself or you will never be able to finish the task."
