Armipotent-Chapter 2148: Ximen Family

It was the Alliance Leader’s order for him to receive Tang Shaoyang directly. Yesterday’s incident would rile up their people, and they might do something unnecessary because the Alliance Leader did nothing after what they did to one of the Wardens on top of the humiliations.

Alliance Leader’s concern was proven right. Even though he had shared the sketch with all the guards, they still did something silly.

The summons was for all major factions, but only thirteen of them responded, and six of them came. The Four Great Empires ignored the summons, not even sending a representative. They were still upset about what happened in the Dongfang Family. At least, that was their guess as to why the four Great Empires ignored the Murim Alliance.

Alliance was so concerned with how dangerous Tang Shaoyang was. That was why he could accept why the Alliance Leader did nothing yesterday. The Murim Alliance could not afford to make an enemy of someone as powerful as the Heaven Founder right now.

Old Zhou had shared the view with the Warden as well, to appease them for what happened. They accepted the reason, but the others who could not listen to the concern were angry that the Alliance Leader let a mere brothel owner humiliate the Murim Alliance.

The guards backed down when he appeared, and he approached Tang Shaoyang. His eyes were on Tang Shaoyang and Yan Xueyi. The first thing he did was to give a quick check on Yan Xueyi and was relieved she was fine. It didn’t look like she went through any torture.

Then his eyes moved to the people behind Tang Shaoyang was shocked to see familiar faces. His eyes bulged in shock, his jaw slowly dropped, wanting to say something, but he was at a loss.

The Ice Palace’s disappearance still remained unresolved, but the involved person was right before him right now, alive. Palace Mistress Bing Ruohan and the four Grand Elders of the Ice Palaces were still alive.

Those five people were wearing veils, but he recognized them with a single glance. Their bearing and the air around them were exactly the same as those who learned the Ice Palace’s technique. There was no way he would mistake them.

"We can talk once we are inside, Old Zhou. We can explain everything to you later," Bing Ruohan nodded.

"You will explain nothing to them, but you can tell them what happened," It was Avyn who said that Ruohan, not Tang Shaoyang.

If the Ice Palace had to explain what happened, Bing Ruohan might spill the secret to the Murim Alliance about that pit, which was related to their secret.

Bing Ruohan thought Avyn was simply being overbearing, but she quickly realized what it meant to explain nothing. She could not tell the Murim Alliance that Tang Shaoyang or his people could move out an entire sect. It was better to leave the Murim Alliance with their imagination on what happened to the Ice Palace.

There were a lot of things on his head to attend to, but there was nothing he could do but lead them inside. He led the guests inside absentmindedly, bringing them to the reception hall where the Alliance Leader was.

The Ximen Family would be second in the most arrogant ranking among the Great Families, with the Tang Family at the first rank. With a single glance, he could tell they were looking for trouble already. The Ximen Family was the one that showed their ambition to take the Alliance Leader, and the only one who opposed Zhong Tian Yun’s appointment till the end.

It was not a surprise if they were here to cause trouble, especially to the Alliance Leader’s guests. He could imagine what would happen if he let the Ximen Family confront Tang Shaoyang.

"Is he the person we are waiting for, Old Zhou?" Elder Ximen looked Old Zhou in the eyes, questioning Old Zhou as if it was within his authority to question the Alliance Leader’s right hand.

"Yes, Elder Ximen Lin Bo. Can you please step aside? Alliance Leader is waiting for him right now."

Ximen Lin Bo turned a deaf ear to the request, "Shouldn’t you introduce him to us before bringing a suspicious person inside, Old Zhou? Shouldn’t you inspect them in case they bring something dangerous inside, Old Zhou?"
