Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy-Chapter 991: Extraction Targets
Chapter 991: Extraction Targets
"Incredible... There are a lot of otherworldly items..." Vale muttered to himself as he was already itching to extract these things.
He could see some glowing mushrooms, mystical bone artifacts, scale-armored beasts, and other things just in the front area.
Furthermore, Vale noticed that the crowd here was different from the outside.
There were beings that he believed to be beastkin with curling horns, cloaked undead with red eyes, vampires in dark robes, and even several mechanical beings powered by some type of mystical cores.
’So it was like that...’ Vale mused as he first thought that this place only had human immortals... However, it seemed that he had still underestimated this place.
It was a gathering of otherworldly goods... and beings!
Vale then used his Divine Sense and soon, he approached one of the outer vendors, a dark-skinned woman selling crystal jars filled with bottled essence of what seemed like Fiend or maybe Demonic...
His eyes locked on a flat, obsidian medallion being sold by a vendor who looked like a werebeast hybrid of fox and wolf...
Vale was curious about the realm he originated from, but he was more inclined to conduct business.
"How much for this?" Vale asked.
"Fifty Arcane Crystals..." the vendor said with a bored shrug.
Vale nodded and tossed the payment. The vendor didn’t even glance at the crystals before continuing his conversation with a nearby spiderkin.
Of course, Vale didn’t mind this as he was curious what item would give him the best result in his extraction.
He planned to purchase many cheap items that he could extract... Depending on the results, he planned to get the bulk of them...
The first item he chose was this Draconic Seal Coin.
The item had a faint hint of Dragon Energy, and it was being sold at various stalls. It means that he wouldn’t run out of supply if he decided to focus on extracting these coins...

’As expected, I can extract it...’ Vale mused for a moment.
He really wanted to extract it now but there were just too many Immortals around. He could still recall how the Death God and other Immortals noticed his Divine Extraction.
Considering that this place had Immortals of the higher realm, he knew that he had to be very careful when using this power.
For now, Vale made his way to the dark-skinned woman selling bottled essence.
Her wares glowed faintly with reddish energy—definitely not native to this realm.
He inspected the jars closely. One pulsed like a dying heart as if it came from some undead creature, while another was filled with a familiar Fiend Essence...
His current Fiend Essence was only more than five thousand points... He might as well purchase it to add some...
"How much per bottle?"
"Depends. Those are Fiend Essence—five Divine Crystals each. These three are Imp Essence—300 Arcane Crystals each."
"Ahh... It’s cheap." Vale muttered.
The vendor wryly smiled as she was worried that her customer was actually a newbie.
"You know they’re diluted, right? They’re only good for alchemy, research, or rituals... If you plan to use them to create Spells, then you’ll be disappointed." She kindly reminded.
Vale finally understood why they were cheap. Perhaps, he only gets 2 or 3 Points in each bottle, or maybe even worse. For five Divine Crystals, it could be considered expensive if that were the case.
’Well, I’ll only know if I extract them...’
For now, Vale decided to buy a sample for each of them. If the extraction was bad, it wouldn’t really matter.
Vale pointed to each of the bottles. "I’ll take those two."
She nodded and took his crystals without much interest.
[ Energy Source has been discovered. Would you like to start the extraction? ]
This notification triggered twice, confirming that he could extract the bottles.
He walked further, passing bizarre scrolls, potions with shifting colors, and even an eyeball floating in a metal dish.
However, most of these items were rare and wouldn’t give a stable source of energy.
"Well, it shouldn’t be a problem to buy a few of them." Vale mused as he decided to get some unique items he could extract.
Most of them were Spell Scrolls, potions of unknown rarity, and even alchemical ingredients.
The next thing that caught his eye was a set of 24 metal feathers... It was sold by a cloaked vendor with too many eyes.
It looked worthless at first, but Vale could tell it was special.
"Can I inspect it for a bit?" He asked.
"Go ahead..." The vendor said. He was not worried that Vale would flee.
[ Energy Source has been discovered. Would you like to start the extraction? ]
Vale didn’t proceed with the extraction once again and turned to the vendor.
"How much?"
"Two hundred fifty Divine Crystals..." the vendor said nonchalantly.
Well, after staying here for a long time, he was expecting that the man would just leave.
"Done." Vale didn’t hesitate.
"Ahhh... This... Do you know this item?!" The vendor was shocked after realizing that his customer wasn’t haggling at all.
"Hmm? No... I just thought that they looked unusual." Vale replied.
"Those... Those are the Ashen Feathers of the Lost Sky... Ugh... Nevermind... You can have it." The vendor said as he accepted Vale’s payment.
"Are you not going to tell me more about it?" Vale asked as he stored the feathers inside his Storage Ring.
"Hmm... If you’re fated to those feathers... You’ll know what it can do..." The vendor said before he started packing up. It seemed that he was about to leave the place.
Anyway, Vale didn’t think too much of it since he would just extract it later after returning to his Inn.
He continued on his buying spree and got a cracked Stone Egg oozing faint heat from a beast merchant for 50 Arcane Crystals each. He was told that if he wanted more, he could get crates of them.
It seemed that the eggs were for consumption instead...
After that, he found a special plant that, once again, could be provided in bulk, and he would be given a discount if he did so!
It was a bright corpse flower. It was commonly used by Arcane Practitioners to remove curses... Apparently, the flower had a trait that could suck out low tier curse spells. It was quite cheap and was only being sold for 100 Arcane Crystals each.
"Hmm... I think I’m doing really well." Vale muttered to himself as he continued to get more items for extraction.
