Arcane Academy: The Divine Extraction Legacy-Chapter 982: Spirit Beast Purchase
Chapter 982: Spirit Beast Purchase
Vale’s eyes lingered on the Frostborne Vulpestra and the Nightreaver Shroudfang for several more moments...
They had such incredible names, but in Vale’s eyes, they were simply a blue fox and a black panther.
These were beasts that embodied shadow and ice would be useful for him...
After a few moments of hesitation, he glanced at the merchant.
"I’ll take the adults of both." freeweɓnovel~cѳm
The masked merchant’s eyes gleamed from behind the half-mask.
"Excellent choice, Sir Immortal. That would be 1,450 Divine Crystals total—700 for the Shroudfang, 750 for the Vulpestra."
Vale didn’t hesitate. He reached into his storage ring and withdrew a dark blue crystalline case. Inside was a collection of large Divine Crystals. Each of them was larger than the thumb-sized Divine Crystals, which were normal forms of currency here.
"Ohhh... These are high-purity Divine Crystals. They must’ve come from a very blessed land." The merchant said as he saw the quality of the crystals.
Even Sabrina, who had been silent all this time, looked at the item with interest.
Then, he inspected one of them for a moment.
"These are worth five standard Divine Crystals each, if not more, depending on the realm. Very well... You’re my first customer and you also spent a large sum on our store, so as per Merchant Union policy, I have to give you something..." He bowed slightly in respect.
To be honest, Sabrina didn’t expect Van to have collected so many large Divine Crystals. After all, forming large Divine Crystals wasn’t easy even for immortals. After all, Divinity wasn’t a sort of air or energy that could be taken somewhere else.
You can only rely on your own collection of Divinity.
Needless to say, collecting Divinity wasn’t easy if you’d only rely on your own ability to create them.
’Interesting...’ Sabrina mused as she couldn’t help but think whether Vale had already become a god to a small realm.
In any case, with the transaction completed, several assistants emerged from behind the enclosure...
Vale watched carefully.
The Nightreaver Shroudfang was approached first. The assistants formed a sealing circle on the ground using a special ink and black gold dust, and soon, a ritual chant began.
The great panther watched silently, then walked into the circle of its own volition.
Once it stepped into place, the runes pulsed and a Beast-Seal Sphere descended from above, capturing the Spirit Beast.
Then came the Frostborne Vulpestra. Its ritual was similar, but performed with a different ink...
Soon, a layer of mist descended as the creature was sealed inside a pale-blue sphere...
After sealing both adult Spirit Beasts, the merchant stepped forward and handed Vale a small bundle.
"As part and bonus of the adult-beast purchase package, we offer the following complimentary items..." The merchant said as he handed over a list of items.
[ Bonding Array Scrolls — Shadow-Type and Ice-Type variants, for deeper synchronization with your beasts. ]
[ Nurturing Formation Diagrams — Use these to establish a breeding ground in your land. ]
[ Taming Contract Runes — Optional, for those who prefer soul-binding contracts over loyalty training. ]
[ Supplemental Ration Packs — Three months’ worth of condensed crystal meals calibrated for each species. ]
[ Obedience Bracers — For safe handling by subordinates until the beasts recognize your authority directly. ]
Vale accepted the items and stored them in his Storage Ring. He was pleased with the generosity of the merchant, as he had given more than the usual number.
However, the two Spirit Beasts could not be stored in this Storage Ring.
Seeing that, the merchant paused as he realized that it was Vale’s first time owning a Spirit Beast...
"One more thing, Sir Immortal."
From beneath his cloak, the merchant produced a black amulet with unknown runes.
"This is a Spirit Beast Vault Amulet. It’s a spatial artifact that can store up to twenty Spirit Beasts, sealed and dormant. You can just bind it into your soul, and only you may access it."
Vale’s eyes lit up after seeing this.
"So it was like that... Is this for free?" He asked.
The merchant nodded. "Indeed. This is a gift..."
Vale held the amulet, then activated it with a strand of his spiritual energy.
Just like that. it was already bound to him...
Then, he briefly scanned the artifact with his Divine Sense and confirmed its deep spatial stability inside...
"You can now try storing your Spirit Beasts inside." The Merchant said.
Vale nodded at this and did as he was told.
Soon, the two captured and tamed Spirit Beasts entered the amulet.
"Impressive..." Vale muttered.
With this, he wouldn’t need to worry about housing his Spirit Beasts inside cumbersome enclosures, or perhaps, he would have an easier time bringing multiple of them with him.
Well, he didn’t mind traveling with one or two Spirit Beasts, but if there were too many of them, using the Amulet was definitely a good option.
He could keep them sealed, safe, and ready for instant deployment. It would be ideal when traversing between realms as well.
Sabrina, who had been quietly watching the whole time, finally spoke. "You made a good investment. Very few outsiders take the leap and go straight for the adults... Most of them would rather have a youngling."
It was quite normal to have that option since they were all Immortal, and raising Spirit Beasts was most likely their pastime since there wasn’t much entertainment in this realm.
However, Vale had a different thought.
"I have to..." Vale replied.
’My enemies won’t wait.’ He added in his mind.
"Right... I’m ready. Let’s head to the next floor?" Vale asked.
"Alchemy floor, right? You look excited." Sabrina replied.
He nodded. "Yes... I’m sure it will be interesting to see. But... Right, thank you for guiding me. Am I not taking too much of your time?"
Sabrina smiled as she didn’t really mind accompanying him for a while. Still, she recalled that she also had other things to do as she was already missing for a few hours.
"You’re welcome. I have to part ways soon—I can’t go further as I still have some work to do... But I hope you enjoy your stay here."
Vale nodded once more, and the two exchanged a final glance before she turned down another corridor and vanished, leaving Vale to find the way to the Alchemist Floor.
