"No, everything is fine," Mother Bai shook her head. She smiled with some embarrassment and said to Mother Lei, "I am sorry for alarming you. There was something that I wanted to say to Ah Qian. I was in a hurry and didn’t even see the time. I am really sorry about it."

Yan Wanning didn’t even get to finish speaking when Lei Qian raised his voice and exclaimed loudly. His shout startled not only Mother Bai but also Mother Lei. She rolled her eyes and smacked her son on the back of his head before saying to Mother Bai, "Don’t worry, Sister Bai. My son wanted to go on a hunt early in the morning anyway. Lei Qian looked at the warm soup and side dishes and heaved a sigh of relief. He and his family were worried about what to do with the breakfast. Thus, these dishes were certainly timely. At least they could recook the half-cooked rice and then use the tofu soup to make something like porridge.

Even Mother Lei heaved a sigh of relief. Mother Bai had no idea that she had helped them greatly. These dishes of hers were similar to a situation where someone handed her a pillow when she was sleepy.

He couldn’t go alone with her but he could certainly not take everyone with him either.
