Apocalyptic Beastworld: A Farming Space Dimension to Another World-Chapter 132: Using Guns
"Who?!" Old Wang stuttered in fright, and soon, he curled up into a ball in his pangolin form.
Su Yining was rather speechless.
Fortunately, Fang Meilin appeared in time. This female snake beastman was indeed so helpful! Su Yining couldn’t help but feel a touch of fondness for this female beastman.
"Old Wang?" Fang Meilin entered the room and was taken aback by the sight of a small pangolin curling up on the floor.
Old Wang let out some muffled noises, and he slowly relaxed his tense muscles and lifted his head, uncurling himself. "Meilin?"
"Miss... Old Wang is here now," she muttered.
"Huh?" Old Wang’s eyes widened. "It’s not a ghost?"
He got up and hurriedly covered his mouth as soon as he realized something.
With her mouth still twitching, Su Yining explained, "I am not a ghost."
Fang Meilin coughed, trying to smoothen the atmosphere. "You are currently speaking to Miss Owner..."
Old Wang’s mouth parted in shock, and he sucked in a deep breath. He quickly apologized, "Miss Owner, I am sorry. I didn’t know it was you."
He had never heard that the owner of the base could speak! They all said that she could only poke or send soft breeze in order to tell them about her presence.
Su Yining also didn’t make it difficult for him. She nodded but soon realized that Old Wang couldn’t see her. "It’s alright."
She held up the cartridge, letting him see it. "Do you know what it is?"
Unfortunately, she could only bring the items one by one. While Old Wang was analyzing the cartridge, she went to open the box containing a gun.
The box was too small and her finger struggled to lift it up. It made her a little helpless. The lid opened and closed repeatedly as if there was a ghost playing with it.
Like a small assistant, Fang Meilin walked toward the box and opened it. "Miss, do you want the box opened?"
"Yes," she let out a sigh. "Give the guns to Old Wang."
Old Wang had unearthed a lot of old items from the era before the apocalypse, and he might be familiar with how to use the guns. Hence, she had called him over.
Her Yuanyuan might be able to show them. After all, he was so knowledgeable, but he was still unconscious.
Fang Meilin walked toward Old Wang and handed over the gun to him. Old Wang studied the thing, muttering to himself incoherently.
He flipped the gun around while Su Yining gave him an instruction. They were trying to figure out how to use it, loading the magazine.
Soon, a sharp sound echoed in the room, startling the two beastmen.
"I..." Old Wang stuttered, his eyes wide. "Are you ok, Meilin?"
Fang Meilin pursed her lips and nodded, she was just startled. However, when her eyes landed on the guns, they were bright. If they used this thing called guns to kill the fierce beasts, the other side would definitely suffer more casualties.
Su Yining coughed, trying to sound more dignified. She felt like her face was lost. Her explanation must have been a little confusing for them because she was reading an instruction from the internet.
She never touched a real gun before.
Fortunately, they finally figured it out. All thanks to Old Wang and Fang Meilin’s teamwork. Old Wang recognized the thing; he had found one and used the last bullet to fire a tree, but he didn’t know how to load it.
On the other hand, Fang Meilin had a creative brain. Just with a few hints from Su Yining’s words, she would try to experiment with it.
Once she could use the guns, Su Yining brought a lot of ammunition from the game shop. Weirdly, the previously inaccessible item became accessible at this moment.
That night, the two brought the beastmen to the weaponry room and allowed some of them to use the guns.
"The guns could only kill fierce beasts with low defense like birds and mostly herbivore animals," Fang Meilin explained. "Don’t target those fierce beasts with hard shells like tortoises or snails."
They all nodded, accepting the weapons solemnly.
Until the night came, the beastmen kept on firing the fierce beasts tirelessly. They decided to make a schedule, allowing some beastmen to take a rest during the night while some would stay to patrol.
The protective shield... it was slowly shrinking.
Previously, the fierce beasts couldn’t even reach the moat, a few meters away from it, but... slowly, the distance was shortening.
Lin Yu’an was the first to notice this.
When Su Yining saw the conversation, her heart was also anxious. She went to Yuanyuan’s place, and he still showed no sign of awakening.
Now, every time she forgot, there was no one who would harvest the crops in the farming space.
She stared at the apple tree, thinking. Her Yuanyuan wasn’t on the verge of turning into a fallen beast, did he? The apple had some advantage to block pollution, but unfortunately, he couldn’t eat one right now.
Even so... she could still make it into juice, right?
With that thought in mind, she went to find Fang Meilin.
"Uh, I will have to trouble you again, Meilin," she awkwardly told her.
"Do you need me for something, Miss? Please just tell me." Fang Meilin said solemnly.
Su Yining handed her two apples and told her about the request. Fang Meilin clutched the apples to her chest tightly, nodding. She went to make the apple juice.
Fang Meilin’s work was incredibly quick and efficient. A moment later, she already gave the apple juice to Su Yining, trusting her to bring it to Xie Ziyuan.
After what Zhou Yunhan experienced, she knew that it was dangerous to go to her ancestor’s place. On top of that, she also didn’t dare to.
"How about you distribute the harvest to other beastmen too, Meilin?"
In a flash, a large amount of white rice, sweet potato, and a few baskets of apples appeared in front of Fang Meilin. The latter was truly bewildered.
She could vaguely sense that these crops were different with a lesser amount of pollution. And the apples... each one was incredibly precious.
Su Yining’s presence has already disappeared. She went to Yuanyuan’s place, debating how to make him drink it. Fortunately, there was a sudden option to give him a drink...
She unhesitatingly clicked on it and waited for the effect.
Soon, on top of Yuanyuan’s head, there was something that made her utterly shocked.
What is this...?
