The two female beastmen showed two contrasting expressions. Wan Lan closed her eyes in a bliss, and when she opened them again, her eyes widened. Her ears twitched slightly.

It was clear she liked this carrot.

On the other hand, Lin Yuyao’s reaction was more mild, as if she was eating ordinary food to pad her stomach. In her mind, she still thinks that fierce beast meat is still better!

After they heard Xie Ziyuan’s question, Wan Lan answered first excitedly. "Master Xie, this thing is a treasure for me!"

It is so sweet just as she has imagined!

"You can take the carrot for yourself since it’s beneficial for you," Xie Ziyuan told Wan Lan before disappearing back into the watchtower.

Wan Lan blinked, a little embarrassed. "Yuyao, we can share this carrot too..."

The female cat shook her head, her ears moved slightly. She waved her hand. "Since it will benefit you, take it. Carrots do nothing to cats besides filling one’s stomach. We would rather take the fierce beast meat."

Xie Ziyuan already appeared inside his inner space, conversing with Su Yining.

"The carrot only works for rabbits, huh?" Su Yining wrote her thoughts on the chat. "Will the chili have some benefit on certain beastmen too?"

"Lin Yuyao even said she prefers the fierce beast meat compared to carrots..."

Her words revealed that she was in deep thought, pondering about the matter deeply.

Xie Ziyuan also shared his insight on this matter.

"The base will develop more in the future. The number of members is only going to continue to increase." He reminded her. This ghostly woman would directly share with him regarding all the game related matters. She cleverly avoided all personal information besides her gender.

Su Yining nodded even though Yuanyuan couldn’t see her.

"The beastmen’s needs and preferences differ from one to another. Previously, what they all needed was only some food and shelter."

"Once they achieve that basic need, they will only feel gratified temporarily, and once people retain a sense of security they will start to think about more complex needs and desires."

"We need to take into account the different needs of the beastmen. As we can see... the carrot obviously isn’t beneficial for Lin Yuyao. Nevertheless, if all the carrots are reserved for Wan Lan, is it fair without giving other beastmen any of them? But... even if we give them some, they still prefer fierce beast meat."

Xie Ziyuan watched Su Yining’s writings and realized that her thoughts were actually this rigorous.

He nodded and told her, "Since Wan Lan can get the carrots, we should compensate other beastmen through other ways."

"People won’t treasure what they can get easily." He added. "We need to create a system where people are rewarded according to their contribution."
