Ancestral Lineage-Chapter 115: Battle Royale (2)
Andriel’s scythe cleaved through red fireballs and dark matter, a faint silvery glow covering her as she battled Rexford. His spirit beasts were entangled in a fight with moon constructs belonging to Andriel. She couldn’t summon the moon as she did in her Moon Elf form, but she could still draw a bit of its energy, and that was enough to keep the two beasts busy while she dealt with their master.
Rexford was no easy opponent because of his dual affinities and race. As a fairy, he was finely in tune with the elements, just like elves and dwarves. With affinities for Fire and Decay, he could wield his elements as effortlessly as breathing. The only thing holding him back was his level and mana. However, as a wielder of two affinities, his mana reserves were twice that of a normal mage. He might have won if he had been fighting an ordinary opponent, but his adversary was far from ordinary.
Her race and species spoke volumes about her power. A Moon Elf. Even without the moon’s presence, her attacks were formidable. So potent were her moon constructs—bearing a striking resemblance to her—that they utterly dominated Rexford’s beasts.
"Why are you on me, Trevor?" Clara asked in annoyance. She had been embroiled in a fight with Trevor, and it seemed he had no plans of leaving her alone.
"Be patient, sister-in-law. The time will come soon," Trevor said with a smirk, and it came rather soon.
It’s time. I want you all to go full power mode but make sure not to totally damage anyone. I will also be using my powers to make it more interesting and difficult. Your main objective is to give the others a hard time and, if possible, totally defeat them. I plan on getting some vampires to follow me today and, if possible, turn some too. Good luck and no holding back. Ethan’s voice rang out in the minds of all his actual subordinates, linked to him by his path.
"It’s showtime," Trevor exclaimed as he exploded in a whirlwind of smoke. Clara nodded as her expression turned calm, almost solemn. Her white eyes glowed as the irises changed to a dark silver color. She floated upwards, her longsword slung behind her. A silver telepathic wave blasted outward from her, disorienting everyone around her.
Lisa, hearing Ethan’s command, crouched low like a cat ready to pounce. Her spear was held in her right hand with the tip facing downwards. A blue mark appeared on her forehead as her leopard disappeared in a crack of lightning. Her eyes turned feline with sparks of lightning around them. Her aura flared in a burst of blue lightning as she vanished from her position, a crack of lightning following her movement.
"They are heating it up!"
"I didn’t know Trevor was this strong."
"Look at Derrick and Timothy. They are in a stalemate!"
The audience commented with shocked expressions as they watched their mates battling each other, their prowess far beyond expectations.
A large, green thorny vine suddenly erupted from the ground, almost reaching Ethan, who floated atop the fierce battle down below. It was as thick as a small house, and on it stood a brown-haired vampire with green, draconic eyes.
BOOM!
The vine, clearly under her control, came crashing down on Zara King and Tatiana Reloc, who were embroiled in a fierce fight. They hurriedly rolled out of the way but not without suffering a few bruises to their faces. When they thought it was all over, the sharp thorns in the vines shot out like long bullets, as long as arrows, at them in an endless spray.
Zara raised a thick wall of metal, blocking the powerful piercing thorns shot at her. Tatiana transformed into a streak of golden light as she dodged the thorns, but Emily wasn’t done. She cracked her whip as a green light engulfed her. The vine cracked open, and out came smaller, thinner vines and roots with razor-sharp leaves. They shot towards the girls.

Andriel smiled as her violet eyes turned an eerie silver, causing Rexford to distance himself from her. He was right to do so, as a serene, almost divine but chilly aura radiated from her.
"The battle ends now!" Andriel declared in a cold voice, sending shivers down the spines of everyone in the battle royale except Ethan’s subordinates. Even those outside weren’t spared.
She floated above the ground, reaching Clara’s height. The moment she declared this, all of Ethan’s subordinates went full throttle with their powers.
Rexford, who had successfully earned the recognition of the Moon Elf, felt a sense of dread permeate him as those cold, emotionless eyes fixed on him. He tried flapping his wings only to find them shackled by silver glowing chains. Raising his axe high, fire and decay burst forth in a mix of black flames, hoping to destroy the shackles, but to no avail.
Andriel raised her hand slightly, conjuring a silver ball glowing faintly with lunar energy.
"Moonbeam!"
The ball shot from her hand with blinding speed and hit Rexford in the chest. His energy suit caved in as he coughed blood and hit the ground, falling unconscious. His spirit beasts turned into specks of red and black light and entered him.
Reginald crossed his blades, blocking a barrage of stone bullets that melted into lava before him. His eyes glowed, red flames flickering within them. The fire around him snuffed out of existence, replaced by intense heat. Heat so hot that every Earth skill or spell Godfred conjured melted before it even reached him. Flames burst from his heels, propelling him toward Godfred and his beast. He turned, delivering a roundhouse kick at the gorilla, causing its fur to ignite. The kick was hard enough to break some of its teeth. Before Godfred could react, the melted earth erupted in a waterfall of molten fire on him. He quickly conjured an earth shield but failed to notice the flying gorilla hurtling toward him.
Reginald had thrown the beast at him, causing a collision that forced the two brutes into unconsciousness.
All around, sounds of collisions rang out as fighters were knocked unconscious by Ethan’s subordinates. The one who incapacitated most without difficulty was, of course, Trevor—the Smoke Lord, a moniker the audience had given him. He had transformed into smoke and sneaked up on Zara and Tatiana as they dodged Emily’s attacks. He swiftly covered the area in smoke, blinding them. Emily caught Zara in her vines, which had a special sleep-inducing scent, rendering her unconscious. As for Tatiana, her speed was commendable but was no match for a Blood Primogenitor. Trevor caught her by the neck effortlessly, suffocating her in smoke. Simple.
Very soon, out of the twenty fighters, only eight were left. Half an hour had passed already. Among the eight, only two weren’t Ethan’s subordinates: Timothy Opera and Grielle Benson, the two demons.
The remaining fighters entered a tense stare-down, broken by a commanding and powerful voice.
"My turn."
Ethan stated calmly as a heavy aura burst from him. His hair grew longer while his skin turned paler.
BOOM!
He landed in their midst with a bang, causing a huge crater to form, disorienting them.
"Sorry, my loves, but it all ends now," Ethan said in a calm tone as he vanished. He first appeared in front of Clara and touched her forehead. Her eyes rolled back with an expression of shock as she fell asleep.

Lisa was next. Ethan did the same to her, then Andriel, and finally Emily. He moved so fast that only Trevor and Andriel noticed anything.
Now it was left with Trevor, Reginald, Timothy, and Grielle.
On the outside, students with pale skin and red eyes slowly turned to look at Ethan with expressions of reverence and worship. In their minds, it was like an echo of hymns of praises and worship.
"I will follow him forever!"
"My god and my all!"
"Lord Ethan. I love you! ehem"
All the vampires were reacting to Ethan’s unique aura. He was using his aura abilities to keep the audience from feeling dread, but that couldn’t hide his unique aura of a Blood Primogenitor from the vampires—not when he was in his actual appearance. And that was exactly what he wanted. He planned on first winning over all vampires in the academy with his Primogenitor status before the big day when the truth would be out and he wouldn’t need to hide anymore. Because of that, he was also planning to fully stabilize his powers today, then start serious cultivation, with or without the system. Anbord wouldn’t accept a weak king after all.
Currently, he was in a fight with Sixtie and Trevor. The girl was very strong, able to keep up with them. It seemed she was a very powerful type of demon.
Her space abilities were like a bane to Trevor’s smoke skills, always disrupting their flow or sucking them from existence. Trevor couldn’t sneak attack her, making him resort to brute force. He would have won, but with Sync on and his actual strength, he would kill her if he went all out, and he was still learning to keep his strength in check. Thankfully, Ethan was around to ensure he didn’t go too far.
The battle ended with a bang and a cloud of dust. Sixtie was still conscious but very exhausted. Trevor was equally tired, though he could still continue, while Ethan was just a bit fatigued. His energy reserves were vast, and he hadn’t even used Earth, Sync, or his beasts—just his martial arts and Psychic abilities.
