An Extra's POV: My Three Fiancees Hate Me-Chapter 56: Guild card
Chapter 56: Guild card
Riven was shocked by the pressure that Dark gave off. How did someone even give off such a pressure? It was as though a mountain rested on his back.
When Dark saw Riven was here, he raised a brow. He released the pressure, allowing them to breathe again.
Immediately they were able to get up, Louis rose up with a yell, "How dare you do that to the son of a count?"
Dark slowly turned his head. He laid eyes on Louis, and immediately Louis broke down, falling to his knees.
"You brat, you think your father’s name has any use in my shop?" Dark asked, his voice calm, but his aura pressed against the boy. He could barely breathe.
Dark turned to Lucas, "What happened here?" he asked.
Lucas narrated the entire issue, and with every word that he said, Dark’s gaze got colder and colder. Louis saw this and he went pale.
Dark walked to Louis. He grabbed him by the neck and lifted him off the ground in one swift motion. Louis was stunned when his feet left the ground.
He was naturally a very large kid with a lot of muscle mass, yet this man easily picked him up with one hand.
"If you do anything to me..."
"GET OUT!" Dark roared and threw Louis through the door so hard that the door swung the other way. Louis flew out, slammed on the street, bounced up, spun midair, and slammed into the wall of the opposite shop.
The scene immediately pulled people’s attention, but when those that knew Dark saw that it had come from his shop, they looked away. They knew that Dark only went mad when someone seriously pissed him off.
Dark pulled his door back in and turned to Lucas, "Fix the door," he said.
"Sir Dark, it’s good to see you again," Riven greeted.
"It’s been a while, Riven. How have you liked your sword?" Dark asked.
Riven pulled out the blade, allowing the light of the sun to shine off it. The stars of the sword shined beautifully. "It has been great. I wouldn’t want another sword at this point. Twilight is the best," Riven said with a smile.
"Hmmm, that’s good to hear. Seems you have made a connection with Twilight," Dark said.
’So this is the man that made Riven’s sword? I’ve been wondering where he got such a unique blade from.’
Dark turned his gaze to Noel. Riven saw that and immediately introduced him. "This is Noel, my elder brother. He and I are going to take the academy exams tomorrow, so we wanted you to modify some armour for us if possible.
I know it’s out of the blue, but I was hoping that you can make an exception for us. We will pay any price," Riven said.
"Hmmm, the exams are tomorrow? That explains why there have been tons of people coming into the town," Dark said.
"Master, I can’t believe you didn’t know when the exams were going to happen. Have you been under a rock?" Lucas said as he pulled out the tools he needed to fix the door.
"Things like that have very little interest to me," Dark said. He rubbed his hand on his chin and then looked at Riven. "I’ll do it for free for the both of you, but for me to do that, you’ll deliver a letter to a lecturer in the Royal Academy.
Her name is Violet. If you deliver the message, then I’ll consider your armor fees paid. That means you two must get into the academy without fail," Dark said.
Riven looked at Noel, and Noel nodded in response. "We will do it," Riven said. fгeewebnovёl.com
"Good, then hand me the armor," Dark said. Noel removed the armor and handed it to Dark. They left the shop after bidding their goodbyes.
"We should go to the adventurer guild while we wait for him to finish the armors," Noel said.
"Why’s that?" Riven asked. Noel smirked and pulled out his guild card, and on it were four silver stars. Riven paused the moment he saw this.
"How the hell are you at four silver stars? What did you do?" Riven asked.
"Nothing, but considering that we killed a golem and also discovered what has become the greatest resource of the town, the guild thought it wise to buff us up to the best level they were allowed to," Noel explained.
"Then why the hell didn’t I get it too?" Riven asked.
"Oh, you did actually, but you were busy training, and no one really wanted to disturb you. The guild said you can come and get your new card whenever you are ready."
"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go. I can finally go on quests that are good," Riven said. He immediately headed for the guild. Noel let out a small chuckle and followed behind.
When he arrived at the guild, he pushed the door, and unlike the first time when he walked in quietly, he was strutting his stuff.
The hall was crowded, yet everyone still noticed him, and immediately they saw him, different expressions, feelings, and thoughts filled the place.
Some people felt that the story was false and the boys were receiving all this because they were nobility.
Riven arrived at the counter. The lady greeted him properly, a smile plastered on her face. "Young Master Riven, I see you are finally here for your card. Give me a moment and I’ll get it for you," she said and rushed into the back. She returned a few minutes later with a court silver star card with his details on it.
He handed his former card and took the new one from her. "Thank you," he said and turned to leave, but as fate would have it, they had to meet the idiot that everything didn’t sit well with.
A tall young man with golden blonde hair and a face so handsome it would make someone want to punch it to disfigure it stood in front of them in his leather armor.
"I refuse this," he said.
