America 1982-Chapter 407 - 51: Three Old Guys_3
"We still don’t know who you are exactly, Mr. Hart," the Black man named Drake asked Martin.
Martin picked up the ice cream he hadn’t finished before, turned his head to look at the television in the living room that was on, displaying the late-night program "All-Around Gun Modding King" on BT TV: 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"See that television network that provides thrilling programs just for all Black people in the United States? It’s mine."

Julian Farrel found Tommy more agreeable by a fraction after spending just one minute with Tommy’s father Colin Hawk and Tony’s father-in-law Logan Heraldo.
Early in the morning, Tommy, Odelia, Tony, Ashley, Bessie, and others were taken away by what could be said were CS classmates of their daughter and Tommy living in New York, using the reason they wanted these bumpkins from out of town to experience the real New York.
His wife, along with Mrs. Hurl, headed out with Sophia and Dorothy, supposedly because Sophia had pre-booked a famous female masseuse in New York for a massage.
Then, the vast Mary Manor was left with only himself, Colin, and Logan, the three old fellows.
This made Julian feel somewhat awkward because he didn’t dare to converse too much with Colin and Logan, those two guys who always spouted foul language and had loud, exaggerated laughter.
The two of them had always lived at the bottom of society, while Julian, from birth, was completely insulated from that world. He wasn’t sure if he might accidentally say something wrong, and then the two sturdy, sunburnt men would swing their beer bottles and smash them on his head.
So, just after sending off Page, who drove several ladies including his wife away with a smile on his face, Julian immediately started racking his brain for an excuse to leave and come back in the evening to enjoy the holiday dinner with everyone.
Thinking this, he once again felt that his damned future son-in-law, though a scoundrel, indeed had some ability. Tommy was like a bottle of lubricant; no matter how dry the situation, he could always make it slick, and no matter how terrible the atmosphere, as long as he was there, it would always remain warm.
"Hehe~ The women have finally gone. Listening to them excitedly discuss what clothes to wear out, it reminds me of the scene when I castrate my roosters. The hens also cluck incessantly on the side when I’m castrating the roosters. I don’t understand what excites them about a rooster being castrated, just like I don’t understand why these ladies can chat for forty minutes beside me about what clothes to wear out. My wife has gone bad, Julian; it’s all the fault of your wife and Sophia," said Logan Heraldo after watching his wife leave with the car, finally showing a genuine expression on his face that had been plastered with a numb smile. He stretched out his arms, wrapping his left arm around Colin and his right around Julian:
"But the outcome is good. Now, it’s just the three of us old guys left, Colin, you have to help me and Julian revive our numb brains."
Julian felt a bit uncomfortable because, in fact, this was only the second time he had met Mr. Hurl; the last time had been last Christmas, and their relationship couldn’t be considered close. However, at this moment, in Logan Heraldo’s eyes, Julian might already be considered a "friend" that he acknowledged?
Colin turned around, looking at the two old guys whose precious daughters had been taken away by his sons: "Do you know, I’ve been wanting to save my own brain for a long time, and next, we’re going to use alcohol..."
"Colin, Logan, I might have to go to Manhattan for a business..." Julian, hearing Colin was ready to have them drink in the afternoon, decided to find an excuse to leave immediately, feeling that being with these two alcohol-loving guys was more dangerous than listening to a group of women discussing what clothes to wear out.
Hearing that Julian had business work to handle, Colin and Logan did not object, only showing somewhat polite and perfunctory expressions of regret.
"I already scoped it out yesterday. The place is about a dozen miles away from this manor, perfectly suits our taste, drinks of various flavors, and barmaids who occasionally moonlight as strippers. There are a lot of clients who go for enjoyment; we definitely won’t be bored," Colin said to Logan Heraldo excitedly after saying goodbye to Julian, sharing the information he had gathered.
Julian was about to leave, adjusting his suit when he hesitated upon hearing the words that came out of Colin’s mouth.
Isn’t Colin recognized as the best man in Warwick’s Hope Mountain District? Not just him, even Odelia, his wife, and even Tommy had always said that this guy deeply loved his wife, and even after her death, had never had any ambiguous events with other women. To use Tommy’s words, the craziest thing he’d done regarding the opposite sex was to attempt to use his butt, toned from years of physical labor, to seduce a female lawyer in hopes of a discounted price to help bring Bessie back.
Now, with no one else around, just the three of them old men including him, was this guy shamelessly revealing his true nature?
Drinks, barmaids... linking it to the fact that this was Long Island, New York, a haven for the wealthy, Julian already imagined the club filled with beautiful women, resplendent and intoxicating in revelry.
And since his property in New York was in Manhattan, he had no idea about the entertainment venues near Long Island. It looked like Hawk and Heraldo had frequented such places; they probably had the same tastes and hobbies, which made it easier for them to become trusted friends with each other.
