Chapter 384: Chapter 42: Blazing Arms_2

"I think... I remember who you are now, Tommy. After all, there aren’t many SSD alumni as young as you with that kind of money." Wilson, upon hearing Tommy’s words, racked his brain for a moment and realized why the name sounded familiar to him.

The young man’s name had appeared many times in the internal magazine, charity events for the Veterans Association, as well as some personality interviews, and internal fraternity donations and so on. It seems like this guy shows up in the internal magazine every now and then.

"I am honored by your words," Tommy said, smiling on the other end of the phone. "You are a well-known figure in SSD. My die-hard SSD buddies from West Point Military Academy said they used to personally polish your commemorative photo in the hall of honor every day during school."

"I’m past the age of enjoying flattery, Tommy." Although he knew the other party was a wealthy young man, Wilson still didn’t have much interest in making small talk, since they were from different industries.

Tommy paused for a moment on the other end of the phone, then said, "I’m not planning to continue flattery, Mr. Brock. On account of us both being SSD brothers, before ending this call, I wanted to give you a timely heads-up that your business might encounter some serious trouble."

"You evidently know little about me; I’m not afraid of trouble knocking on my door." Wilson was slightly taken aback, not expecting Tommy to say something like that. However, his expression remained calm, and he responded indifferently.

"Rear Admiral Joseph Smith is planning to leave the Pentagon Navy Department to set up an overseas transportation company, aiming to offer convenient services to American military personnel overseas. As far as I know, some big shots at the Pentagon are quite interested in his concept."

"Do all you Stanford kids like to shoot your mouths off? Or does Stanford have better intelligence work than West Point Military Academy?"

"Not Stanford, but the Naval Academy. Two young SSD members from the Naval Academy previously provided entrepreneurial ideas to Mr. Joseph Smith. One is named Tony Leon, former chairman of the SSD Naval Academy Chapter, currently serving on a cruiser, and the other is named Eric Smith, former vice chairman of the SSD Naval Academy Chapter, currently serving on the USS Kennedy. Oh, the second Eric, he’s Admiral Smith’s youngest son."

"Why are you so informed about their plans?" Hearing Tommy mention specific names and not sounding like he was joking, Wilson furrowed his brows and asked doubtfully.

Tommy spoke in a neutral tone, "Tony Leon was supposed to be named Tony Hawk; he is my brother."

"You know, I enjoy chatting with the young SSD members. It always reminds me of my own youth. I just finished my work in Germany and I’m about to fly back home. I mean, maybe I could thank you in person for saving my daughter," Wilson said, his eyes looking out the window while he spoke.

"May I bring a journalist with me? I mean, when I come to pay a visit, can one of my reporters come for an interview? I own two television networks, and the reporters are eagerly collecting any news or interviews they can find. Someone like you, an expert on the German situation, attracts them like honey," Tommy proposed.

"Of course, no problem. I also enjoy discussing topics about Germany, after all, I’ve lived here for twenty years."

"Thank you very much. Just one last minor issue. My daughter has some misunderstandings about me. She doesn’t believe that I saved her but rather thinks I have some ulterior motives toward you and deliberately approached her."

"I’ll remember to clarify that for you."

After hanging up, he turned to his assistant, "Call Washington and find out if there’s a Rear Admiral named Joseph Smith at the Pentagon Navy Department who is planning to start a transportation company?"

The assistant went to the living room to make the call, and only half an hour later, he came in and said to Wilson Block, who was shaving in front of a mirror:

"Sir, from what I’ve gathered, it’s confirmed that the individual does plan to start a transportation company, but unconfirmed rumors suggest that two assistant secretaries of the Navy may possess shares."

"Shit! The kid wasn’t boasting. Book me the fastest flight back home. I need to go to Washington... no, to Los Angeles first to figure out what kind of transportation business could be taking our orders."

Meanwhile, on the observation deck of the Paradise Manufacturing Film Company in Los Angeles, as Tommy hung up the phone, Stephen stared at him with an unpleasant expression and interrogated:

"So, now I’ve become the unscrupulous filmmaker in Mr. Wilson Block’s eyes who is trying to take advantage of his daughter? And you’re also planning to teach me a lesson on his behalf, leaving me unable to touch a woman for a week?"

"Yes, I’m planning to call Mr. Page and have him teach you a lesson," Tommy said to Stephen with a smile. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Stephen crossed his arms, "Good, I’m curious to see this happen."

"Mr. Page, call the wife and say to prepare twenty girls for Stephen’s little party tonight. I’ll pick up the tab. If the girls can keep Stephen’s golf club uninterested in women for a week, I’ll pay an extra 20%," Tommy called out to Mr. Page standing not too far away.

After hearing Tommy’s proposition, Stephen hesitated for a moment before saying to Tommy, "Can I pick the girls myself?"

"No, Mr. Page, watch the quote. If the total exceeds sixty thousand, switch to street merchandise for Stephen. After all, an inflamed golf club can also make him rest for a week," Tommy quickly replied, adding to Mr. Page who was dialing.
