Chapter 307: Chapter 18: I’m Just Cutting My Losses_3

"If she claims to be Harley Quinn, then I’m her king, Joker!"

"Ms. Crystal Chappell, known for ’Somewhere. Tomorrow.’, her ex-boyfriend used to be a navy engineer. She loves to try some over-the-top games, and she said she has no resistance against men in the engineering profession. So, Pam, you know what to do?" Stephen said, holding the room card between his fingers as he looked at Pam.

Pam pushed up his glasses and said with disdain, "It’s hard to find a girl more outrageous than Carly... but I still need to verify that myself."

Then he stood up, picked up the room card, and left.

"Chris, your surprise, Melissa Brennan, known for ’Our Days’, the third generation Jennifer Horton, and the most beautiful and famous Jennifer Horton, is waiting for you in your room right now. Chris, I remember you said you liked that TV show..." Stephen turned to the gambler Chris.

Chris picked up the cowboy hat from the table, put it on, walked over to Stephen, took the room card, and tipped his hat to Tommy, saying, "Thanks for the hospitality, pauper."

"All those bastards find their favorite actresses but only Chris thanked me, the one paying for all this," Tommy said as he sat on the couch with his feet up, disgruntled:

"The next time we have this kind of event, there have to be conditions. Everyone has to stand in the hall and thank me publicly for ten minutes. If their words aren’t sensational enough, or the time is too short, let them pay their own bill!"

Stephen walked over and sat next to Tommy, leaned back lazily against the backrest: "How about it, Tommy? I told you, when I make a move, no one can resist. And what about Frank? He was just as attracted by Laura Dunn and obediently returned to his room."

"You were born to be a fucking pimp, Stephen," Tommy said affirmatively:

"You should get rid of your wife and run the business yourself."

Stephen patted Tommy’s shoulder, "Now, it’s just the two of us left, that’s the benefit of being the organizer, keeping the best for ourselves, right? So, for a pair of French twins, supermodels new to Hollywood, and an American beauty that fits your taste, which one will you choose?"

"Twins..." Tommy was about to decisively spit out the word "twins" when Stephen already leaned over and covered his mouth, "No, you fucking don’t want that! Take back that wrong choice! You, a rookie guest, would absolutely not be able to handle them!"

"Alright, alright, they’re all yours, let go of me, dumbass. You almost strangled your sugar daddy for a woman! I let you earn so much money, and you won’t even let me make the right choice!" Tommy said as he broke free from Stephen’s hold.

Satisfied, Stephen finally let go and tossed a room card onto Tommy, lowering his voice to add a hint of mystery:

"That chick is in your room; it’s her first time taking on such a job. Honestly, if she hadn’t been in trouble, she would never have gotten into this business. That chick became a millionaire by acting when she was only seventeen."

"I’m more interested in hearing the twins’ story, not this chick’s," Tommy said, looking at Stephen dissatisfied: "I like the French, I have great affection for France. I’ve had Ottelia help many of France’s former colonies. I should have a lot to talk about with them..."

Stephen decisively shattered Tommy’s fantasy: "The twins have nothing to do with you, brother. Accept the reality; your only choice is to listen to the American chick’s story."

"Fine, you say she became a millionaire at seventeen, so she better be an adult now, or I’m getting Page to butcher you," Tommy said, furrowing his brow and asking cautiously after hearing Stephen’s words.

Stephen began to somberly relay the story of the actress he had arranged for Tommy: "Of course, she’s twenty-two this year, no one forced her. The chick’s had it rough, I heard the story from the missus. Her father was once an artistic director at a Broadway theater but later became unemployed and a taxi driver; her mother was a nightclub dancer. She was only thirteen days old when her parents divorced, and although her mother had custody, she never fulfilled her duties. The girl bounced from cheap motels all over New York with her father, who even brought her along while driving his cab, but he often left her in the care of his Broadway friends. So she started as an extra in plays at the age of six and occasionally made cameo appearances on location for TV shows in New York. At thirteen, she got lucky and starred in a low-budget romantic comedy ’Fate on Sunset Bridge,’ earning a nomination for Best Actress at the Young Artist Awards and made it onto the cover of ’Time’. But then... her father went crazy after seeing his teenage daughter have a romantic and kissing scene in the movie, because he was a Protestant and adhered to strict, classical Pentecostalism. To use his words, not having his daughter wear a Christian headscarf 24 hours a day was already a sign of his open-mindedness. And then these bastards from the film industry defiled his holy daughter and took away the first kiss that should have been hers after marriage."

"But normally, a minor acting should be accompanied by a parent or guardian around the clock," Tommy said, spotting a loophole in the story and expressing his doubt: "You haven’t been conned, have you? Every woman in this line of work paints her background more tragic than Jean Valjean and Fantine from ’Les Misérables’ combined."
