Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 94 He Wants to See You
"Air traffic control." Klaus dropped his phone down the couch, his tone irritated and frustrated, "Looks like we can’t leave today."
"Why is this happening?" Emily walked slowly over to Klaus, "Who was the old man you were talking about?"
"It may be that yesterday’s interview with the southern royal family was not very pleasant, so the king of the south did not allow us to leave for the time being." Klaus put his hand on Emily’s shoulder, and he comforted her, "It’s okay, I’ll fix this."
Emily responded to Klaus with a faint smile, "Since I can’t leave the South right now, I have just the extra time to deal with my mother’s affairs."
"Your mother’s business?" There was a hint of confusion in Klaus’ eyes, "Isn’t her affair over?"
"I don’t want her body to be left in that cold morgue like this." Emily’s tone was low and sad, "Since her body can no longer be returned to the earth, I want to cremate her body and bring the ashes back to the country where I once lived."
Emily thought over the matter for a night, and felt that it would be hasty to leave the South so soon, that she needed to get her mother’s body in order, and that she would even like to see her friends in the country again and say good-bye to them.
She wanted to discuss these matters with Klaus when she got up in the morning, and it happened that Klaus gave her the news that they would not be able to leave the South for some time.
"Do what you want to do." Klaus caressed Emily’s face and asked gently, "Are you hungry? I told the waiter to bring breakfast. "
Scarcely had Klaus finished speaking when the land-line telephone in the room rang, and Emily, who was standing near it, answered it; but when the person on the other end of the line heard her voice, it fell silent for a moment.
After a few seconds, a soft, uncertain voice asked, "Emily?"
"Yes, this is Emily." Emily replied.
"This is Adam."
"Adam?" Emily said, "Is there anything wrong with you?"
"I want to talk to you." Adam said, "I’m in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel right now, do you have time to come over?"
Emily thought for a moment, "Okay."
Hanging up, Emily said to Klaus, "Prince Adam said he wanted to see me, so, I..."
"He wants to see my wife now?" Klaus said in a displeased tone, "No."
Emily gave Klaus a helpless look, and she tried to say to him in a negotiating tone, "Maybe he has something important to do with me, he just wants to talk to me. Stop being so stingy, will you? "
"Why does he have to see you, can’t you talk on the phone? "With his hands crossed over his chest, Klaus said sourly, "Besides, how can a normal man call someone else’s wife in the morning?"
" Klaus ." Emily looked Klaus in the eye, and she said to Klaus in a serious tone, "One, Prince Adam is my friend, and if he really has something to do with me, of course he can call me. Second, I am not a kid, and I have the power to decide who I want to meet. So, stop trying to control me, okay?"
"Control you?" Klaus gave him an incredulous expression, "I never wanted to control you."
"Yes, you have." Emily retorted, "Sometimes I feel suffocated by your transitional protection."
"Oh, really?" Klaus sneered, "Good, Emily. Since you want to see him, go ahead. I’m not going to stop you from seeing anyone, because that’s your right."
Klaus accentuated the word "power" as he turned his back to Emily. Emily could only shake her head helplessly at Klaus’s childish behavior.
As Emily changed her dress and prepared to go out, she suddenly remembered that she had not returned Prince Adam’s coat, but she searched the room and could not find it.
"Do you see a white coat?" Emily asked Klaus.
"White coat?" Klaus sat on the couch and casually flipped through a magazine, "You know I never wear a white coat. Maybe the maid threw it away as garbage. "
You must have lost Prince Adam’s coat. Emily thought to herself, you must be laughing in your heart now, innocent man.
Emily said no more, and turned to leave the room. When she reached the first-floor lobby of the hotel, she caught a glimpse of Prince Adam. He was standing upright in the middle of the hall, dressed in an off-white casual suit. His eyes were continually directed in the direction of the exit of the elevator.
"Hey, Emily." Prince Adam greeted her with a smile.
"Good morning, Adam." Emily said, "I wanted to return your coat, but it may be that the maid put it away, so I can’t find your coat, sorry."
"It’s just a piece of clothing." Prince Adam said indifferently, "Even if you lose that coat, it doesn’t matter."
"I’ll buy you a new coat " Emily said, "So, what the hell are you looking for me?"
Prince Adam hesitated for a few seconds, "Emily, as a friend, I don’t want to lie to you. In fact, it was my father who wanted to see you."
"The king wants to see me?" Emily reacted and immediately understood what was going on, and she said in a cold tone, "But I don’t want to see him."
"Emily, please listen to me. I don’t know what the relationship between your mother and my father used to be, but he’s been sick since you left the Capitol that day," Prince Adam said in a pleading tone. "He wanted to talk to you, so he sent me to you. Emily, he may be king, but he’s an old man. My father cares about you, so will you please meet him and hear what he has to say?"
Emily looked hesitating, not knowing whether to see King James or not. The thought of the secret of her mother, which her father had told her to her face, filled her with revolt.
He wanted to see me; did he not only want to know if I were his daughter? But I do not want to know the answer to that.
"I’m sorry, Adam." Emily refused, "I don’t want to see him."
Prince Adam’s face was slightly stunned when he heard this answer, and then he pleaded with Emily again, "My father is outside, and he is anxious to see you before he recovers. Emily, at least you should meet him. Please."
Prince Adam’s words shook Emily’s already firm heart, so she had to agree, "Okay, then I’ll go see him."
Prince Adam then led Emily outside the hotel, where a black Rolls Royce pulled up in front of them. A bouncer standing outside the car door slowly pulled it open only to see James in the passenger seat. He was coughing, and a smile came into his old face when he saw Emily.
"Emily." Kings James said in a hoarse voice, "Here."
Emily stood still when she heard Kings James say, "I want to show you where your mother once lived, and I want to return her relics to you."
As soon as she heard about her mother, Emily finally relented. She got into the car and sat next to King James.
