Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 52 The Game Is Over
Dyson had no time to dodge as Klaus punched him hard in the jaw, the pain sending a hint of alarm into his eyes. He tried to steady his weight, but his legs involuntarily took two steps backward, each one rustling on the fallen leaves.
Dyson shook his head vigorously, trying to collect his thoughts. Unconsciously he leaned sideways to defend himself, and a hint of uncertainty gleamed in his eyes. But Klaus did not follow up his attack, but stood still and watched, with a sneer on his face, as if he were playing with the hunter of his prey.
"Come on, Joker." Klaus’s tone was defiant, and his voice echoed through the empty woods.
Dyson wiped the blood from the corners of his mouth with the back of his hand, his eyes flashing with angry fire, and he roared, "Don’t call me a clown!"
His voice, growling like a wild beast, shook the leaves around him.
Klaus deliberately mentioned Dyson’s past, and his words pierced Dyson to the heart like a sharp knife. When Klaus saw Dyson’s face distorted with anger, he said even more brazenly, "I remember when you were ten years old, you played the clown at his birthday party in order to please your father. Have you forgotten all these things?"
There was a hint of pain and humiliation in Dyson’s face as his memories were ruthlessly torn apart by Klaus and laid out before him. His eyes flashed with rage and shame, and his hands clenched into fists, as if he would give vent to all this humiliation and anger.
"Shut up!" Dyson lunged at Klaus with outstretched wolf-paws, and his movements were swift and powerful, as if he would tear Klaus to pieces. Klaus, however, dodged deftly, and Dyson’s wolf-paw only pierced the trunk behind Klaus with a dull thud.
Clearly this was not what Dyson had in mind. He quickly pulled the wolf’s paw from the trunk and attacked Klaus again. This time, however, Klaus continued to dodge, eluding Dyson’s attacks early each time, his step light and athletic, as if he were on a par with the trees.
"Come on, Klaus, fight with me." Dyson shouted at Klaus in exasperation, his voice full of challenge and resentment. "Don’t be a coward."
But Klaus ignored Dyson’s defiance and continued to lure him deeper into the woods. When Dyson attacked him again, this time he dodged and immediately countered. He swung his fist with all his might at the side of Dyson’s face, and it struck with a dull thud. He then took advantage of Dyson’s tottering body and kicked him hard into the trap, which was already set.
Dyson’s body landed heavily on the trap, and he uttered a groan of pain. He struggled to get to his feet, but the trap was so tight about his feet that it immobilized him.
Dyson’s leg snapped through the trap and cracked the bone, a bloodcurdling sound that echoed through the silent woods. Immediately afterwards he uttered a shriek, his voice full of pain and despair, as if his body and mind were being torn apart at the same time.
"Klaus, you’re a bastard." Dyson’s eyes glared fiercely at Klaus, his eyes full of anger and hatred. His face was full of pain.
Klaus sneered, and he looked down condescendingly at Dyson, without the least sympathy or pity in his eyes. The next second he was punching Dyson senseless, as swiftly and powerfully as if he were dealing with an annoying bug.
As Klaus was about to leave, he noticed the pocket Dyson had been hanging on to, and without a moment’s thought he took it. His movements were clean and clean, and there was no hesitation.
Klaus hastened back to the cabin, and no sooner had he set foot in it than he saw Emily on the ground, her crouched form still trembling slightly.
"Don’t be afraid, Emily, I’m coming." Klaus lifted Emily up and held her in his arms, and he saw that the blood had turned dark black on her wound, and that it showed that the poison of the dog-slave had become inflamed in Emily, and that he must treat her at once.
Klaus did not hesitate; he sucked the pus and blood from Emily’s wound with his mouth and spat it on the ground. When Klaus had cleaned her wounds of pus and blood, he crumpled the herb in the palm of his hand and covered Emily’s wounds with it.
Emily gave a low moan, a mixture of pain and comfort, as the cold herb touched her skin.
Klaus whispered to her, "The treatment may be a little painful, but it will soon be over."
After a few minutes, Emily slowly opened her eyes, and she looked up at Klaus, "This herb is amazing, my wound doesn’t hurt anymore."
"But it will take a little bit of time for the wound to heal." Klaus said with concern, "I think you still need to go to the hospital for more specialized treatment."
"Klaus, I’m not as fragile as you think." Emily smiled wryly, "The game isn’t over yet, I still have to... "
"Stop thinking about the game." Klaus’s tone was a little annoyed, "Your safety is the most important thing to me right now. "
"But I’ve only collected the ears of two canine slaves." Emily reluctantly said, "I don’t want another Luna to think your princess is a piece of shit. "
"Let them die." Klaus hugged Emily tightly, "In my eyes, you’re braver than any of them. "
At this moment the second horn sounded, which meant that the game of hunting was over.
Emily, who heard the sound of the horn, sat up from Klaus’s arms and asked in surprise, "Is the game over so soon?"
"It’s game over." Klaus tapped Emily on the shoulder, "Looks like we’re going to have to get out of here, let’s go."
In order to prevent the other Lunas from discovering that Klaus and Emily were together, they parted at a fork in the woods as soon as they left the cabin, and before leaving Klaus returned to Emily the pocket containing the ears of the canine slave.
But what Emily did not know was that the pocket that Klaus had given her was not the one she had been in.
