Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 131 The Undead Warrior
"What is it?" Elijah’s gaze was fixed on a naked man standing before him. The man’s muscles were tense, his face expressionless, his eyes as blank as a stagnant pond.
Elijah couldn’t even hear the man’s heartbeat; it seemed to him that he was already dead.
"He is the answer given to us by the dark gods," said the Dark Wizard, quietly.
"Show me," Elijah ordered.
"I need ten men to be here," the Dark Wizard demanded.
"No problem." Elijah immediately summoned the secretary-general, who ordered that ten guards should be sent to the palace immediately.
Within minutes, ten sturdy guards entered the palace, one after another. The Dark Wizard gestured to the servants to close the palace gates, then he cast his strange gaze over the ten men.
"Your Majesty, I want these ten warriors to engage in a fight with my man," said the Dark Wizard, glancing at Elijah, who sat on the throne, awaiting his permission.
Elijah nodded and addressed the ten guards, "Whoever can kill that man, I’ll reward them with a hundred thousand dollars."
Upon hearing this, some of the guards wore merry expressions, while others couldn’t help but clench their fists. The naked man before them appeared no different from an ordinary human, and he wasn’t even particularly tall.
If ten guards attacked him simultaneously, he wouldn’t have lasted long. And the naked man didn’t seem to register the sounds around him, nor did his face betray the slightest hint of fear.
He was like a corpse.
"Now, can we begin?" asked one of the guards.
Elijah looked at the Dark Wizard, who slowly approached the naked man and whispered something in his ear. Then, the naked man lifted his head as if at a signal.
Although Elijah was seated on the throne, some distance away from them, he could distinctly hear the Dark Wizard’s last words to the man.
"Fight," said the Dark Wizard.
In the next instant, with the swiftness of lightning, the naked man charged at a burly guard, his expressionless face unchanged. The big guard growled, his sharp wolf claws glinting in the air. He was the first to leap at the man, and his wolf’s paw swung down fiercely.
The man took the blow without flinching or dodging. The wolf’s claws left deep scratches on his body, and blood gushed out instantly. But the man didn’t seem to feel any pain. Instead, he grabbed the arm of the giant guard and shook it violently, easily throwing the massive body aside and slamming it against the wall.
Seeing this, the other guards growled and transformed into werewolves, descending upon the man as one. Their wolf-paws rained down upon him, leaving him scratched and bruised all over in an instant. Yet, he didn’t flinch in the slightest, fighting back with even more ferocity.
The man swung his fist at one of the guards closest to him. The guard ducked, and the wolf’s claws slashed across the man’s chest. The man paid no heed, but seized the guard by the shoulders and pulled with all his might. The guard’s shoulder was torn away in a mass of flesh, but before he could utter a cry of pain, the man’s fist struck again, sending him flying.
The guards continued to assail the man, their wolf paws leaving shocking wounds on his body. Time and again, the man was knocked to the ground, yet each time he fell, he was instantly able to rise. The wounds on his body healed with remarkable speed, as if he’d never been injured. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
One of the guards seized the opportunity and drove its paw straight into the man’s heart. The man’s body shook violently, and he slowly collapsed. The guards were relieved that they had finally bested him. Yet, within seconds, the man was miraculously back on his feet. The wound in his heart had healed, and his eyes remained emotionless, filled only with an unwavering desire to fight.
Elijah, seated on his throne, silently observed the struggle, his eyes betraying a hint of surprise and caution. He had never witnessed such a formidable werewolf, and he was both struck and delighted by the man’s presence.
The man grew bolder and more relentless as he fought under the siege of the garrison. His movements were swift and powerful, each attack carrying a deadly threat. Gradually, the guards found themselves overwhelmed, and their wolf paws proved unable to inflict any meaningful damage.
Eventually, one of the guards fell to the ground under the man’s relentless attack, followed by a second, then a third... One by one, the guards dropped, their faces etched with fear and despair.
And the man, still standing unscathed, seemed like a demon from hell, born to fight and never tire.
The palace was permeated with the stench of blood, and the bodies of ten guards lay scattered on the ground, their wolf paws hanging limply at their sides, their wounds ghastly, and the blood, still gushing in streams, pooled on the floor.
The undead warrior remained silent, as if none of this had any bearing on him. His eyes were empty and cold, devoid of any trace of pity or empathy. He stood motionless, like an emotionless killing machine.
The atmosphere in the palace was incredibly oppressive, and the smell of blood filled the air, making one nauseous. Elijah slowly rose from his throne and surveyed the tragic scene before him, the corners of his mouth twisting into a grim smile.
"Good." Elijah clapped his hands as he descended the steps, "I wish I could send him to the battlefield right now."
"It’s not the time yet." The dark wizard said in a raspy voice, "He’s the only one we have."
Elijah approached the naked man, staring into his vacant eyes. "Is he dead or alive?"
"He neither lives nor dies," replied the Dark Wizard.
"What do you mean?" Elijah frowned slightly, feeling that sometimes it was challenging to communicate with this wizard who often spoke in riddles.
"This man was my offering to the god of darkness, and as I prayed, his body slowly rose from the pool of blood," the Dark Wizard explained. "The god of darkness has granted him a new existence. This, too, is the reward the dark gods have bestowed upon you."
"So, the dark god will give me an army of the undead, right?" Elijah asked hesitantly, "Did we succeed?"
The corners of the Dark Wizard’s mouth curled up slightly, his tone tinged with sarcasm, "If you wish to claim power from the God of Darkness, you must make a deal with him."
Elijah’s face darkened, "I’ve already defied the rules of the moon god and sacrificed my own kind to the god of darkness. Isn’t that enough? Why won’t you tell me what the dark gods want?"
The Dark Wizard shook his head slightly, "I don’t know for sure, after all, the Dark God didn’t reveal to me exactly what he desires. Perhaps we should have waited."
Wait? Elijah was agitated and could barely contain his impatience. Not only did he have to contend with rebels at home, but he also had to guard against attacks from the north. He desperately needed an army of the undead to combat his enemies.
"When will I be able to have an army of the undead?" Elijah pressed the wizard.
"You need to be patient, Your Majesty," the Dark Wizard said calmly, "Perhaps tomorrow, the Dark God will grant you another undead warrior, or even two. Soon, you will have an undead army."
Elijah eyed the dark wizard suspiciously, sensing that he was hiding something from him.
The undead now only obeyed the wizard’s commands, meaning that only the wizard had control over them. Elijah disliked the idea of his army being controlled by someone else, so he needed to find a way to command the undead warriors himself.
But would the Dark Wizard reveal the secret without conditions?
In the evening, Elijah summoned Haley to his chamber. Throughout this time, Haley, who had aided him in fighting the rebels, had grown thin, but she was still pleased to see Elijah. After all, it had been a while since he had summoned her in the night.
She wore a seductive black lace slip dress, and as she nestled in Elijah’s arms, she heard him say to her, "I need you to do something for me."
"Now?" Haley asked, confused.
"Yes," Elijah caressed her face and spoke to her in an exceptionally soft voice, "I want you to seduce a man for me."
"Who?" Haley asked.
"Green." Elijah named the wizard, "He gave me an undead warrior, but he didn’t tell me how to control the undead warrior. So I need you to help me with that. "
" What should I do?"
" Just like you used to do with other men." Elijah said, "Use your body."
"Are you sure that dark wizards are like women?" Haley asked, uncertain.
"He’s a man, and I’m sure no man would say no to a woman like you." Elijah patted Haley’s ass gently, "Go ."
