Chapter 115: Chapter 115 My Friend

Emily opened her eyes, and the warm light streaming through the window seemed to possess a healing power, as if the sun itself was bathing the room in its golden glow. She spotted Klaus lounging on the couch, his eyes closed. His expression was unusually peaceful in the sunlight.

Emily sat up, her movements as gentle as a feather floating to the ground. As she prepared to exit the bed, Klaus’s deep voice penetrated her consciousness. "Are you awake, lover?"

Klaus rose from the couch and approached the bed, gazing at her tenderly.

"How did you know I was awake?" Emily thought she had risen silently enough to allow Klaus to rest longer, so she hadn’t intended to disturb him.

Klaus caressed Emily’s hair and kissed her cheek. "I can sense you, because you’re my mate."

"Have we established a psychic connection already?" Emily asked curiously. Though she knew there would be a bond between mates, she couldn’t yet feel Klaus’s wolf.

"Not yet," Klaus explained. "We can’t officially establish a psychic connection until our wolves meet."

"But you just said you could sense me," Emily said, confused. "Why?"

Klaus stared deeply into Emily’s eyes. "Because you’ve always been in my heart, and every little gesture of yours touches it."

"It’s only been one night, and you’re already talking so much?" Emily teased. "You’re not the same Klaus I used to know."

"I’ve always been like this, and I’ve never changed," Klaus insisted, holding Emily’s hand. "I thought about it all night, and I realize I owe you an apology."

"An apology?" Emily asked. "For what?"

Klaus lowered his gaze, silent for a moment before slowly saying, "I shouldn’t have doubted you. I’m sorry I said those hurtful things to you. I was just being foolish."

Emily sighed. "It’s all in the past."

"I’m glad you turned out to be my second mate," Klaus said, his eyes full of love. "Meeting you is a gift from the moon god to me."

"Me too, Klaus," Emily replied.

She moved closer to Klaus and pressed her lips softly to his. The next instant, he parted her lips with his tongue, exploring her mouth with a strength and possessiveness that never faltered. Their kiss was long, as if they’d been lost in their own world for ages. If not for the knock on the door interrupting their embrace, Klaus would have continued the kiss indefinitely.

When Klaus released Emily, she could feel her lips were swollen. As the doctor entered the room, Klaus stepped aside consciously.

After the doctor examined Emily’s wounds, he informed Klaus of her condition. "Luna Emily’s wounds are healing faster than I expected. I think she’ll be discharged the day after tomorrow."

"Thank you, doctor," Klaus said. After seeing the doctor out, he returned to Emily’s bedside and said, "Your wolf is strong, lover."

"Her name is Shirley," Emily corrected.

My wolf’s name is Lyon, and he can’t wait to meet Shirley." Klaus kissed the back of her hand and said, "Your wolf must be as pretty as you are."

At that moment, there was another knock on the door. Klaus frowned impatiently, let go of Emily’s hand, and went to open it.

"Emily," Dolly’s voice came from behind the door, and she rushed in, wearing a blue and white hospital gown.

"Dolly," Emily looked at Dolly suspiciously. "What happened to you?"

"The maid named Heidi injured me," Dolly told Emily. "When I went to look for you, I noticed something was wrong with her."

"Oh, God." Emily knew nothing about this and looked at Dolly anxiously. "Are you hurt?"

"I’m almost fine," Dolly said. "While I was unconscious, it was Mark who took me to the hospital. When he told me that you were in this hospital too, I came to you immediately."

Klaus, who had been left standing awkwardly, coughed twice and said to Emily, "I’ll go outside and get a cup of coffee. You two can talk."

After Klaus left, Dolly smiled secretly. "It’s girls’ time."

"In the hospital?" Emily joked. "Are we the Suffering Sisters now?"

Dolly sat on Emily’s bed and kept asking about Emily’s abduction. Emily told Dolly the truth about her abduction, and as Dolly listened, she was shocked and incredulous.

"Why did that wolf king of the West kidnap you?" Dolly asked.

"Actually, I don’t know," Emily sighed. When Elijah appeared, she felt an icy aura emanating from him, making him seem elusive.

"Thankfully, it’s all over now," Dolly comforted Emily. "Your wolf has finally returned."

Emily hugged Dolly. "Dolly, I’m so glad you’re by my side. You’ll always be my best friend."

Dolly looked at Emily and fell silent.

Emily noticed and asked, "What’s wrong, Dolly?"

"Emily, are you still planning to go back north?" Dolly asked.

"Yes," Emily replied. "Klaus is my mate, and I can’t be separated from him."

"Is he really your mate?" Dolly was surprised. "Is this true?"

Emily nodded. "When I’m discharged from the hospital, I’m going to bury my mother’s ashes in the countryside. After that, I’m going back to the north."

"So, are we going to say goodbye again?" Dolly asked reluctantly.

"I have to leave," Emily said reluctantly. "I’m going to be with my mate."

A trace of sadness crossed Dolly’s face. She looked down for a moment of silence before slowly looking up.

"Emily, there’s something I want to ask you."

"Dolly, we’re friends. If you need me to do anything for you, just let me know." For Emily, Dolly was not only her friend but also her family. No matter what Dolly asked, she wouldn’t refuse. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"So, what do you want me to do for you?" Emily asked.

" Emily, I am an adult. "Dolly whispered, "But I haven’t met my mate yet, so..."

"So what are you going to do?" Emily asked softly.

"You know the rules of the pack, if the adult werewolf hasn’t met mate, Alpha has the right to decide to marry the werewolf without a mate to anyone. But I don’t want to marry a man I don’t like." "Dolly, you’re going to meet your mate, maybe he’s just showing up later." Emily comforted her, "Just like me and Klaus, we didn’t even know we were mates."

"Emily, can you take me to the north?" Dolly made up her mind and said, "I can be your maid."

" If you decide to go north with me, Dolly, I will not refuse you. But I do not wish you to be my maid. "Emily shook Dolly’s hand and said, "You’re my friend, always will be."

"But before I leave the South, I want to go back to the countryside and say goodbye to my friends." Dolly suggested, "Why don’t we go back together?"

"Good idea." Emily agreed.

At that moment, Klaus pushed the door open, and he walked in with coffee in his hand and said to Dolly, "Sorry, the visit is over." Dolly whispered her tongue out to Emily after hearing Klaus’s words, and she said to Emily with her mouth shape, "Oh, man." "We’ll talk again in the evening." Emily whispered.

Dolly winked at her and left the room. Klaus then closed the door, took a sip of his coffee and said to Emily, "Someone wants to see you."
