Alpha's replacement bride is destined mate-Chapter 100 Who Follows You?

"What? You’re being stalked by a strange man?" Dolly’s eyes widened in surprise, her voice laced with it.
Just then, Emily was recounting to Dolly in detail her encounter with a strange man in the mall. The man’s sudden appearance had left Emily bewildered, and she desperately sought Dolly’s assistance.
But Emily didn’t dare tell Klaus about it. She knew that, with Klaus’s personality, once she did, she would go to great lengths to uncover the man’s identity and then teach him a harsh lesson. Emily couldn’t fathom the consequences.
"Do you know who that man is?" Dolly asked.
Emily looked hesitant, then nodded reluctantly. "Almost."
"What do you mean?" Dolly asked, confused. "So, you do know that man?"
Emily sat on the carpet, took a sip of the beer in her hand, and said slowly, "One night, many years ago, I found a wounded boy in the woods, and I saved him. But then the boy disappeared, and I thought I’d never see him again. I didn’t expect to see him at the mall today."
"Why didn’t you tell me about it?" Dolly looked at Emily disapprovingly. "I thought we were good friends. You knew all my secrets, but I didn’t know yours."
"Of course, we’re good friends," Emily emphasized. "You know the rules of the pack—we can’t accept outsiders. That boy doesn’t belong in our pack, and it would have been a bad thing if I’d let anyone else know about it. Besides, he left the next day, so I didn’t think I needed to tell you."
"Well, I can understand that," Dolly said, shaking Emily’s hand. "We’ve always been best friends, right?"
"Of course," Emily replied.
"So, after all these years, the boy you once saved has come back to you? It sounds incredible. How could he possibly remember what you looked like?"
"I think he saw me a long time ago," Emily groaned, realizing now that she should have guessed when the man first appeared that it wasn’t a hallucination. He had been watching her for a while.
"But what does he want from you?" Dolly’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. "If he wants to thank you for helping him, why doesn’t he just say, ’Hi Emily, do you remember me? I’m the boy you once rescued. Thank you for your help. Are you free this evening? I want to treat you to dinner.’ But he didn’t, and his sneaky behavior looks like that of a stalker. God, he’s not some wanted criminal, is he?"
"Wanted?" Emily said incredulously. "But he doesn’t look like a wanted criminal."
"Why is he stalking you if he’s not wanted? Did he ever speak to you?" Dolly said, pulling out her cell phone to check the official wanted list.
"He, he didn’t tell me anything," Emily said, taking a sip of her beer, remembering the man who had told her that one day she would belong to him.
The words were like a fairy-tale pact between the devil and the girl. The devil said that when the girl was old enough, he would come and take her. But when she grew up, the girl wouldn’t go with the devil because she already had a man she liked. The devil was enraged and vowed to kill the girl and her man.
At this point, Dolly’s words interrupted Emily’s imagination, and she held her phone up to Emily, "Look and see if the man who stalked you is on this wanted list."
Dolly scrolled through all the wanted posters one by one on her phone screen, and when she tapped on the last one, she asked Emily, "Aren’t they him?"
Emily shook her head, "No."
"What does that man look like?" Dolly asked.
Emily thought back to the man’s appearance, "Long black hair, gray eyes, thin, and his hands..."
She paused, remembering the man’s hand on her wrist, his glove-like hand. "His hands were strong, but they weren’t warm; they were cold."
"Long black hair, gray eyes, thin." Dolly lowered her head and typed these keywords into the search engine, "And what’s up with his hands?"
"His hands don’t look like the hands of a normal person," Emily frowned slightly, "They’re cold."
"What a strange description." Dolly asked Emily to look at the results she found on the site.
"Goats?" Emily almost spat out the sip of beer she had just taken.
Dolly laughed and said, "Maybe we should call him Mr. Goat."
"No, he’s not like a goat," Emily shook her head, "Goats are docile; he doesn’t look like them."
He was mysterious and aloof.
Dolly dropped her phone on the couch and said with some discouragement, "It looks like we can’t find any information about the man online. So, what are you going to do?"
Emily took the last sip of her beer from the bottle and said, "I don’t know."
"Do you think he’ll come to you again?" Dolly asked.
"Perhaps." But Emily hoped the mysterious man wouldn’t reappear; her instinct told her he was dangerous.
"So, you’re not going to tell Klaus about it?" Dolly lowered her voice, as if their conversation could be overheard through the walls.
"If he finds out, he’ll be jealous," Emily reluctantly said, "Last time, when Klaus lost Prince Adam’s coat, he was so jealous."
"Prince Adam?" Dolly became as excited as if she had stumbled upon some juicy gossip, and she asked, "What’s the relationship between you and Prince Adam?"
"We’re just ordinary friends," Emily clarified.
"You’re such a bad girl," Dolly poked Emily in the arm, "Tell me everything."
Emily knew that if she didn’t tell Dolly about her encounters with Prince Adam, she wouldn’t give up. Emily opened another bottle of beer, and as she sipped, she slowly recounted her acquaintance with Prince Adam to Dolly.
Emily and Dolly talked late into the night, as if they were back in childhood, discussing everything, sharing each other’s joys and sorrows. The effects of the alcohol made their cheeks slightly flushed, and their eyes a little misty. At some point, they all got drunk and collapsed onto the soft carpet, falling into a deep sleep.
Emily, half-asleep, dimly noticed someone walking softly past her, and the subtle sound of footsteps was very distinct in the quiet room. Then she heard Dolly’s voice.
"What are you doing?" Dolly’s voice broke the silence of the night.
Emily slowly opened her eyes, only to see Dolly standing in front of Heidi, and she asked Heidi with a serious face, "Why were you secretly filming us?"
Heidi looked a little uncomfortable and out of place in her black maid’s uniform. She said timidly, "I wasn’t secretly filming you. I was just picking up the trash."
"I saw you secretly filming us with your phone," Dolly’s tone was grave and firm.
Emily rubbed her eyes and asked Dolly in a hoarse voice, "What’s going on?"
"Emily, I saw her secretly filming us with her phone," Dolly pointed at Heidi and said, "I found her phone and hid it."
"Heidi is my personal maid, why would she be secretly filming us?" Emily tried to reason, "Maybe you’re mistaken."
"No, Emily. I couldn’t be mistaken," Dolly said categorically.
"Luna, I made a mistake," Heidi’s eyes suddenly welled up, and her face was full of resentment.
Emily was caught in the middle, but she chose to side with Dolly first, so she said to Heidi, "Show me your phone."
Heidi gave her a hesitant look, standing motionless and refusing to hand over her phone.
