Alpha Razor King-Chapter 38: A Bargain.
**Cross**
Pulling away, we both took a moment to catch our breath while staring deeply into each other’s eyes. I would be a liar if I said I didn’t want her right here and now.
"Wanna come in?" she whispered, brushing her luscious lips against my ear. I felt my dick harden inside my jeans .
"To do what?" I husked, trying to act oblivious.
She gave a sarcastic laugh. "What do you think? I want you to fuck me so badly." My desire surged as her words echoed in my mind.
"Kira, you know... I can’t," I said, struggling to resist the temptation. "I don’t think it’s possible today."
She rolled her eyes, taking a step back. "Why? We haven’t seen each other since our last college party. We’ve been doing nothing but sexting on the phone since then."
"I know, but you have to understand," I reached for her hand, but she pulled away.
"Understand what, Cross? How else do you want me to prove myself? I know you’re a werewolf, but I love and trust you, and yet you..." her voice trailed off in frustration.
I threw my head back, grappling with my inner demons. She was right—Kira had accidentally discovered my secret in college, but she had kept it safe.
"Is it because of your asshole brother?" she pressed, her eyes searching mine.
"Don’t speak that way about him," I shook my head in warning. If my had heard her, he’ll fucking skin her alive.
"Why, because you’re afraid of him? We’re not doing anything wrong. It’s just sex, and it’s not like he’s going to know," she argued, her frustration evident.
She had no idea. If I broke my virginity without my brother’s permission, he would find out somehow and that we’ll be the end of me.
"Alright, fine," she whined, stomping her foot. "Maybe someday, but not today."
I nodded in relief. "Thank you."
Her phone suddenly vibrated, interrupting the moment. She glanced at the message—a picture of a guy with brown hair.
"Who’s that?" I glanced at the phone curiously.
She shrugged nonchalantly. "Nobody special, just a new coworker at the firm."
"Alright then," I replied, glancing at my wrist watch. "It’s getting late. I have to return before my uncle gets back."
She leaned in and kissed me briefly on the lips. "Alright then. Please call me?"
"Of course," I promised, my mind already drifting to uncle Tom.
But just as I turned to leave, the sound of gunshots reverberated, slicing through the air. Kira and I froze, our eyes locking in a mixture of fear and confusion.
"What the fuck was that?" Kira whispered, her voice trembling with fear.
I strained my ears, trying to discern the source of the gunfire.
"We need to get out of here," I said, grabbing Kira’s hand and pulling her towards the exit.
But before we could take another single step, a man staggered in front of us, blood streaming from a wound in his shoulder.
"Oh my god!" Kira gasped, her hand flying to her mouth in shock.
Fuck! I recognized the man immediately. It was him, the bouncer at the entrance. Seeing him injured and bleeding sent a chill down my spine.
"What happened?" I rushed to the man’s side.
He grimaced in pain, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "Mafia... attacked... ambush..." he managed to choke out between clenched teeth.
My heart sank at his words. Could it be that damn Dead Man Mafia? If they mistakenly see me here, I may be done for.
"We need to get him help," Kira suggested, her voice urgent as she stared at the man’s bleeding wound, horror evident in her widening eyes. Another gunshot echoed, followed by a barrage of gunfire.
"No time, we have to run," I insisted, pulling Kira along as we navigated through the chaotic scene, people scattering in all directions. We managed to escape the club unscathed, relief washing over us once we were at a safe distance.
"That was crazy," Kira exhaled, her breath shaky with adrenaline as we caught our breath.
"Yeah, too close for comfort," I agreed, my heart still racing from the close call.
"I wonder what the hell the mafia was doing there," Kira muttered, frustration evident in her voice as she ran a hand through her dark hair.
"Are you okay?" I asked, concern etched in my features as I reached out to touch her arm, making sure she wasn’t injured.
"Yeah, thanks to you," Kira replied with a grateful smile, her eyes meeting mine briefly before scanning the area for any signs of danger.
"You better leave now," she cautioned, glancing at her watch. "It’s past midnight."
"Damn it, you’re right," I cursed under my breath, realizing the time. I quickly kissed her cheek. "Stay safe, okay?"
With a nod, I turned and hurried off to hail a cab, eager to get to Uncle Tom’s house. Thirty minutes later, I arrived and cautiously made my way inside. I gently maneuvered my way and climbed up the building, but as I was about to open the window, I immediately ducked.
Fuck, Uncle Tom is in there looking for me. What am I going to do now? I got down from the window, about to step inside the house through the main entrance when I saw Anna coming my way.
"Where the hell did you go, Cross?"
"I... I, uh..."
"Save it," she gritted her teeth, pointing upstairs. "Your uncle is inside your room searching for you."
"What am I going to do now?" I paced about nervously, glancing upstairs.
"I can help you, but you have to help me in return," Anna proposed, placing a hand on her hip.
"Forget it," I waved her aside, but she shook her head.
"If your uncle finds out, you know what will happen, right? Alpha Razor will know, and you’ll be in big trouble." She was right, my brother will freaking kill me.
I hesitated, but as the heavy footsteps of Uncle Tom approached from upstairs, I made a decision. "Deal."
