Almighty Father System-Chapter 367: Daddy Teach Them How To Be Strong. (1)

Leo was on the way to pick up Lily back from the school. It had been two days since the Alpha Team from the eagle country tried to break in the Research center but was stopped, and then Markus led a quick assault against the President of the Eagle Nation. Although they have blocked the news, but it still could not escape the eyes of the intelligence agencies and the defense forces. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

When they were driving back to the Mansion, a military green vehicle caught up to them and the person inside waved for them to stop on the side. Kyle raised his brow and said, "Sir, they are armed."

Leo replied, "Calmly, stop on the side."

Kyle parked the car on the side, and a couple of military officers came towards them. Leo narrowed his gaze looking at the way they walked. One of them stood two steps away from the vehicle while the other had himself lined up from an angle.

Leo mumbled, "Assault and cover formation, hmmm, interesting."

He knew all these tactics, because he had practiced them in the virtual realm. He lowered the window and asked, "How can I help you officer?"

The officer replied calmly, "I am Lieutenant Jeager, I was sent here to get a hold of you and invite you to the Military Office. My senior wishes to talk to you."

Leo frowned and said, "I am sure that you are aware of better ways to contact someone if you wish to talk to them, right? Also, I am a consultant to the Military Technology, is this the way I you guys treat my designation?"

A consultant was a prestigious position, and usually people would be lukewarm if not respectful. However, stopping him mid-way this was blatant show of authority. How was Leo to swallow this?

The Lieutenant said, "I apologize, Sir, however, the command was issued by Colonel Harding of the Special Forces, I hope you cooperate with us."

Zeenat and Kyle frowned, they could not go against the military, and the status of the special forces was even higher. Leo looked at the man for a few seconds, and said, "Lead the way, let me see what your superior wants from me."

Lieutenant Jeager looked at Lily inside the car, and he wanted to say something when he found that the child was looking back at him with a calm gaze, she didn’t show any feeling, and then she turned back to her tablet.

The army officer nodded to Leo and then went back to his car with the other guy, lamenting, ’What kind of upbringing is needed to make a child so young indifferent to military intimidation? Usually children all become obedient or excited, but this one, she was as indifferent as her father. What could be going on here?’

The two vehicles were led to the military office on the northern outskirts of the city, it was a two hours long journey and Leo had informed Snow and the rest back at home about this so they didn’t have to worry.

Kyle asked, "Sir, what do you think they want with you?"

Leo took a deep breath and replied, "Don’t worry about it. Since it is the special forces guy, I am sure that they want to ask about the incident at the research center and want me to handover the captives."

Kyle shivered and replied, "Sir, but the captives..."

He knew that Lily was sitting on the side and it was not appropriate to talk about things like this right now. Leo replied calmly, "They have been sent to hell, so we don’t have to bother with them. As for these people, I have full knowledge of how to handle them, don’t worry."

The man nodded as they drove through the traffic, as they reached the Military Office, Lily said, "Baba, this place, it is weird."

Leo smiled and patted her head, he could guess that she might have sensed the stale and restricted vibe in the surroundings from looking around and said, "You don’t have to worry, Baba is here with you."

Lily hummed as she leaned into his embrace. The car reached the entrance and then they were stopped for a security check. The vehicle ahead of them was the same, it had to go through the security check.

After Lieutenant Jeager confirmed his identity at the gate, the guards asked Leo and his people to show their identity. Leo and complied and then they moved inside.

Leo could tell that the security arrangement of this place was extra high, their were armed guards all over the place. They stood in front of an office building and Lieutenant Jeager came over to tell Leo that this was the place.

He said, "Consultant Cardinal, for security reasons, your guards cannot be allowed inside the building."

Leo raised his brow and then he said, "I see."

He gazed at Kyle and Zeenat and they agreed to stay out. Lily held onto Leo’s hand and didn’t budge. Lieutenant Jeager said, "Your daughter..."

Before he could even finish his words, Leo turned to look at him coldly and said, "I dare you to try and finish that sentence."

Jeager froze, he could swear that he saw a river of blood in Leo’s eyes, the killing intent was so strong that it caused not only Lieutenant Jeager to freeze, but even the man behind him was stunned.

Leo retracted his intent and said coldly, "Lead the way."

The soldier nodded and gestured to lead Leo and Lily inside the building, he moved quickly, and only paused to greet the people on the way with a salute for the higher ranks and a nod for the lower ranks. After climbing three floors they reached a conference room, and he said, "You should wait here, I will call the Colonel right away."

Leo waited for a few minutes, Lily had placed her tablet on the table and was using a coloring app, when the door of the conference room was pushed open, and a tall man dressed in full military uniform walked in with steady strides. He looked at Leo and then at Lily before he narrowed his gaze and asked, "Do you think that your status as a consultant makes puts you above the law?"

Leo looked at him with a calm gaze, he said candidly, "Are you trying to intimidate me? What law did I break? Clarify that first, I am a civilian and not familiar with your military laws."

Colonel Harding was famous for his explosive behavior and fiery temper, he slapped the table and said, "You dare to argue, do you think that your sharp wit will get you out of this mess? What did you do with those men who attacked your research center? They are soldiers of the Eagle Nation, why have they not been handed over to the Military? Why didn’t you inform the military about this situation? They are not captives but soldiers, they ought to be treated like that."

Leo watched the man calmly, because just now when this guy slapped the table he caused Lily to flinch in fear and startled her. The young man didn’t rush to answer the man and patted Lily’s head as he said softly, "Don’t worry, baba is here, no?"

Lily nodded and then Leo looked at the man in the military uniform and said, "What law states that I have to hand over the people invading my property to you? If anyone it should be the police. Also, you wish to treat the people who dared to barge in a facility filled with scientist who have no idea of how to defend themselves like soldiers, then tell me, shall I we give five star jacuzzis to serial killers in the prison holds?"

The colonel was shocked, he tired to intimidate Leo into handing over the Alpha Team members but he didn’t expect the young man to act like this. Leo stood up and said, "You think that just because you are a special forces officer you can intimidate me, right? Colonel Harding, shall I file a complaint about this barbaric conduct you and your unit have displayed?

First, you approach me unannounced and bring me and my child here as if we are some criminals.

Second, your men wanted me to leave my daughter outside in the name of security. Are you fucking with me?

Then you, who failed to safeguard the border, and allowed those bastards to waltz around my backyard dare to demand that I hand them over to you? Who the fuck do you think you are, the King of the Nation? Even if you were the divine guard from heavens, I will not give those men to you. Do you get it?"

His last words were all emphasized and the Colonel was intimidated. Leo said, "Now, I will leave this compound and if you want to talk about this issue, you better ask your seniors to come over, and the attitude better be sincere or I will be filing a complaint in the Tribunal."

That said, Leo picked up Lily in his arms and walked out of the room without even looking at the man.
