After work, start to speedrun the other world-Chapter 308 - 111 Near-Precognition Combat Ability
The light faded, and the dust filled the dueling arena.
"I didn’t expect it to turn out this way," the Negation Demon said from the front row of the audience, chatting with the Witch of the Moon beside him:
"If he truly has the support of the Destiny Witch behind him, his death here would be troublesome."
"So you have to watch the battle closely, don’t let him actually die." The Witch of the Moon yawned lightly, and her indifferent voice made it unclear whether she really cared about the Destiny Witch behind Ahtal.
In response, the Negation Demon just smiled and focused his attention on the battlefield, staring at the two figures in the dispersing dust.
The dragon was massive like a mountain range, while the human seemed tiny like an ant—the strengths and weaknesses of the two were obvious without being stated.
"Ha~ Truly worthy of the Dragon King." Ahtal breathed out a flame and then clapped his hands together. The shadow behind him started to wriggle, and a doppelganger with his same appearance emerged.
There was no difference in aura or power.
"You are not human," the Dragon King suddenly said, gazing at Ahtal, the human’s aura was very similar to that of a dragon.
It was more like a dragon cloaked in human skin than a human.
Xi Mu did not answer. He pulled out the Great Sword of Death next to him and with a powerful leap, he shot forward like a bullet.
The doppelganger followed closely behind.
The Dragon King didn’t continue to pursue the question, swinging his massive body and concentrating crimson lightning into his claw, sweeping it towards the two approaching humans. The storm that could obliterate a nation swept across.
But they disappeared.
In the instant before the thunderstorm could engulf Ahtal and his doppelganger, they turned into starlight and vanished from their spot, suddenly appearing beside the Dragon King’s feet. The Great Sword of Death swung down in a smooth motion, slicing through the dragon scales and drenching Ahtal and his doppelganger in spurting Dragon Blood.
At the moment they prepared to swing their next sword—
"Boom!" The Dragon King’s body suddenly moved. Though massive as a mountain, it moved incredibly fast, vanishing on the spot like lightning and soaring into the high altitudes, disappearing without a trace.
He fled.
No, as the Dragon King, fleeing was impossible—especially not from a mere human. The Dragon King was the apex of dragonkind. Only beings who transcended human limits could bear the name of Dragon King.
An abyssal Magic Power, an incredibly strong dragon body, and millennia of refined combat skills made the Dragon King nearly invincible.
Thus, the Dragon King simply changed his strategy.
"Troublesome creature." Ahtal tumbled without warning, evading an attack similar to a lightning slash that grazed the edge of his body, leaving behind three deep grooves on the ground.
The attacking Dragon King had already vanished, soaring back into the sky and hiding in the clouds teeming with lightning.
Unlike the cumbersome dragons of people’s imaginations, the Dragon King’s mobility far surpassed that of humans. With the speed of thunder, it was fast enough to kill any slightly slower-reacting human in an instant.
"He’s going to lose," commented a dragon from the audience. Given the Dragon King’s speed, a few more attacks would suffice to take Ahtal’s life. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
After all—
"Humans cannot dodge lightning." The Negation Demon turned his head, looking at the concerned White-haired Lolita beside him, "Being able to dodge an attack once already proves his combat instincts are exceptionally sharp."
"He’ll find a way," the White-haired Lolita gently shook her head, clutching her skirt tightly. She believed Ahtal would figure out a way to deal with the situation. This was the schemer intent on subverting the world—certainly not somebody who could be defeated by a mere Dragon King. Otherwise, Ahtal’s ambition to subvert the world would be laughably weak.
So, although she didn’t know Ahtal’s trump card or his exact strength, she believed he would find a way to cope.
"Is he going to summon his teacher for help?" the White Dragon King stroked his chin, analyzing the situation. With Ahtal’s strength, facing the lightning-fast Dragon King was impossible without resorting to a more decisive power.
"That’s what we’re hoping for," the Witch of the Moon gazed intently as the Dragon King launched another attack. A massive figure burst from the dense clouds, diving with lightning speed.
A red lightning-clad dragon claw slashed down, narrowly missed by Ahtal, and then the massive tail whipped forward with enough force to shatter mountains directed at Ahtal.
"Boom!" The dueling arena shook. This unexpected tail whip undoubtedly hit Ahtal, crushing him into the arena’s underground.
Blood cruelly spurted out from the pinched dragon tail, making it clear just how gruesomely Ahtal’s body had been crushed.
Not just a shattered corpse... but pulverized flesh was more like it.
"He won," declared the White Dragon King, unsurprised. He knew Ahtal was very talented, but against the likes of the Dragon King, there was no chance. The gap in power was too great.
Strength.
Speed.
Magic Power.
No matter from which dimension considered, Ahtal was at an absolute disadvantage, with no chance of victory.
Skill meant nothing in the face of absolute power.
The Negation Demon at the side made his move, intending to step onto the dueling ground and resurrect Ahtal. However, just as he took a step forward, he witnessed a scene that took him by surprise—a black fire shot into the sky, severing the dragon tail clean off.
