After Giving Birth, All My Beast Ex-Husbands Suddenly Want Me Back-Chapter 139: Figure it out
Mino knelt for two full days before finally finishing the last durian.
When the cubs saw that the durian had split open, they hurried to tell Nina. She came over and stood in front of Mino.
"Mino, that’s enough now. You can stop."
During those two days, Nina had tried several times to persuade him to get up, but he refused each time, insisting on kneeling until the very last durian was done.
"Nina... have you forgiven me?" Mino asked softly, looking up at her.
"Get up already," Nina replied gently. "I was never angry with you to begin with. You’ve punished yourself enough. Let’s consider the matter settled."
She reached out to help him to his feet, and only then did Mino allow himself to stand.
"I’ll help you back to your room to rest," Nina said.
"Alright." Mino leaned lightly against her shoulder. "Nina... what would you like to eat for lunch?"
Nina couldn’t help laughing. "You should focus on resting instead of thinking about cooking."
Even in this state, he was still worrying about making food for her.
"Alright then," Mino agreed obediently, returning to his room.
Nina used her healing ability to treat his injuries before preparing to leave so he could rest.
But Mino suddenly caught her hand, his voice carrying a quiet plea.
"Could you stay with me for a while?"
He had searched for her for so long... and he had missed her terribly.
"Alright," Nina said softly. "Lie down and get some sleep."
Mino lay down obediently, but he refused to release her hand. Nor could he bring himself to close his eyes.
Nina sighed helplessly. "Close your eyes, or how will you fall asleep?"
"...Okay."
He shut his eyes reluctantly, gripping her hand even tighter.
Nina looked at his handsome face—now noticeably thinner than before—and something in her heart stirred.
After a long while, Mino finally succumbed to exhaustion and drifted into sleep.
Only then did Nina gently slip her hand free and leave the room.
It wasn’t until the sun was setting that Mino slowly woke.
The first thing he did was search the room for Nina.
When he realized she wasn’t there, a flicker of disappointment passed through his eyes.
At that moment, Ming walked into the room.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
"Mm," Mino replied quietly.
Ming sat down by the bed. "Tell your father how you and Nina met. What happened between you two? And why you punished yourself by kneeling."
"Why do you want to know that?" Mino asked.
Ming snorted. "Do you still want to become Nina’s mate or not? With your personality, at this rate, it’ll take until the next century before she truly accepts you."
He shot his son an exasperated look.
After all, Ming was eager to hold little spirit-cat cubs someday.
After thinking for a moment, Mino finally told Ming the whole story of how he had met Nina.
Perhaps his father really could help him.
"I see..." Ming said at last.
Then he smacked Mino on the forehead.
"How could you say such things about Nina? She’s clearly such a wonderful female!"
He smacked him again.
"If I were Nina, I would have chopped you into pieces already. You deserved every second of kneeling. You’re lucky Nina is so generous to forgive you so easily."
In the beast world, most females were proud and temperamental. If a fiancé had insulted them like that, he wouldn’t even get through the door—being beaten half to death would already be mercy.
Fortunately, Nina had a gentle nature. Otherwise, this foolish son of his might never find a mate for the rest of his life.
Mino rubbed his aching forehead. "I know I was wrong. So what should I do now?"
Even though Nina had forgiven him, she still didn’t like him.
And who would fall for a male who had once spoken about her that way?
"What else?" Ming replied. "Do more things for Nina. Win her over."
He gestured toward the courtyard. "Look at those other males—some make clothes for her, others craft jewelry. Learn from them."
"I know. What else?" Mino pressed.
Ming glanced at him sideways. "Figure the rest out yourself."
Mino rolled his eyes. "That’s not helpful at all."
In the end, he would have to rely on himself.
"Mino," Ming added as he stood, "males must take the initiative. If you have something to say, say it."
Then he left the room.
After stepping outside, Ming headed toward Nina’s house.
Meanwhile, Mino remained in the room, pondering his father’s words.
Standing outside Nina’s door, Ming called gently, "Nina, may I speak with you for a moment?"
"Please come in."
Ming entered the room.
Nina turned to the cubs and said softly, "Mom needs to talk with Grandpa Ming for a bit. Go play outside for now."
The cubs obediently trotted out.
"Please, have a seat," Nina said.
Ming sat down and sighed.
"Nina, Mino told me everything about what happened between you two. That foolish brat was completely in the wrong. Let me apologize to you once more on his behalf."
"That’s not necessary, Lord Ming," Nina replied calmly. "I’m not angry with Mino."
"Nina, you truly are a gentle and kind female."
Ming looked at her with clear admiration. Not only gentle and kind, but intelligent as well.
There was no way he would allow such an excellent future daughter-in-law to slip away.
"Nina," he continued, "do you know why Mino left back then?"
Nina shook her head.
"It was because he discovered that we had found him... and he was afraid we would catch up to him."
Ming slowly told Nina everything that had happened after Mino left. He even explained the matter of the Burning Spirit Formation.
As she listened, Nina felt a deep sense of guilt rise within her. She hadn’t realized that Mino had suffered so much simply because he hadn’t known her true identity.
"Nina," Ming said gently, "I’m not telling you this to excuse that foolish brat, nor to win sympathy for him. Everything he endured was the consequence of his own actions."
He gave a faint smile.
"I only want you to know that the brat truly cares about you. He may be a little foolish, but he’s not a bad male. I just hope you might be willing to give him another chance."
"I understand," Nina replied softly.
"In that case, I won’t say anything more." Ming smiled again and then quietly left.
Left alone, Nina looked at the small nest where the egg-cubs rested and found herself drifting into memories of the moments she had shared with Mino.

Late that night, Finch returned.
He had changed into a handsome new set of clothes and walked to Nina’s door.
"Nina, are you asleep?" he called softly.
"No, come in."
Nina looked up when he entered. "You’re back!"
"Mm." The moment Finch saw her, his face lit up with a bright smile.
He carefully took out the spirit crystal and held it out in both hands.
"Nina, this is a spirit crystal. It can greatly help increase your strength."
"You were gone for so long... just to get this for me?" Nina asked, her expression complicated.
"I... I only remembered that the spirit pearl had acknowledged you as its master," Finch explained shyly. "And I thought this would help you, so..."
He rubbed his fingertips together nervously.
"I didn’t mean to neglect you and Didi. I didn’t leave on purpose."
At that moment, the spirit pearl hanging at Nina’s neck reacted excitedly when it sensed the crystal.
Master! Take it! Take it!
Seeing its reaction, Nina realized immediately that the object must be extremely rare.
"You must have gone through a lot to obtain this, didn’t you?" she asked softly.
"N-No," Finch quickly denied. "I just went and picked it up. It wasn’t difficult."
He didn’t want Nina to feel burdened or guilty. He was afraid she might refuse the gift.
"Really?"
Nina looked at him carefully. For some reason, his lips seemed a little paler than usual today.
"Really," Finch said with a nod. "Nina, please accept it. If your strength grows, you’ll be better able to protect yourself—and the cubs."
Nina hesitated for a moment, but finally reached out and took the crystal.
"Thank you," she said. "Wait here a moment."
