The plane flew for several hours before finally landing.

The destination was a small island.

Zhouzhou silently descended by rope, and as soon as her feet hit the ground, she swiftly darted into the forest, disappearing from sight.

The others followed suit.

It was the dead of night, and the island was eerily quiet. Despite the peaceful surroundings, everyone’s expressions remained tense and alert.

Xi Mo, holding a gun, scanned the surroundings cautiously. In a low voice, he asked, "Zhouzhou, do you think Luke knows we’re here?"

Zhouzhou nodded. "He definitely knows. In fact, I bet we’re already under his surveillance."

Xi Mo shared the same suspicion. Luke was a madman. He had arranged for the fake Ye Lingfeng to appear, not because he wanted to harm them, but simply to make sure they knew that the person behind the abduction of Ye Lingfeng was him. It seemed likely that he had deliberately lured them here, to capture them all in one go.

"We’ll see about that," Zhouzhou muttered under her breath.

A cold glint flashed in everyone’s eyes. They had come this far. They weren’t about to let Luke take them down so easily.

Zhouzhou made a gesture, and everyone dispersed, each taking a different direction.

She led Wealthy Group in the opposite direction, her steps light and swift, moving as if she were part of the darkness itself. Despite the blackness of the night, their vision remained sharp and unimpeded. Having worked together on countless missions for over ten years, they knew each other’s movements instinctively.

Zhouzhou clenched her fist. So you want to surround us, Luke? Let’s see who the real prey is.

"Let’s go," Zhouzhou signaled.

As they moved through the jungle, they became nothing more than fleeting shadows in the night. The only sounds were the rustle of leaves beneath their feet and the occasional snap of a branch.

Meanwhile, in A Country, in a lavish villa, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed man held a glass of red wine, swirling it gently. His gaze was fixed on the video feed from the surveillance cameras, and a smirk crept across his face. His eyes narrowed as he watched Zhouzhou, regarding her as if she were a mere corpse.

He casually asked, "So this is Fugui, Ye Lingfeng’s daughter?"

"Yes," the overweight assistant responded, a hint of shock in his eyes. He, too, was stunned. They had never imagined that the legendary Fugui, a name that had terrified so many, was a young girl.

She had started making a name for herself a decade ago when she was just a child. No wonder they had been unable to find any information about her for all these years. If she had stood before them and claimed to be Fugui, they probably wouldn’t have believed her. No one would have suspected such a thing.

It was mind-boggling.

Luke, too, was taken aback. His eyes gleamed with an interest he hadn’t expected. This girl, Fugui, had turned out to be quite the surprise.

Alva, Hills, and Kurosaki—three of his most trusted men—had all fallen at her hands. And now, besides Ye Lingfeng, he was the only one left in the top ten on the wanted list.

It was only natural that she would target him next.

Luke wasn’t worried, though. He wasn’t like his prey. He was the hunter, not the hunted.

A devilish grin appeared on his lips as he took another sip of wine. "Let the game begin."

He was looking forward to it.

He turned to his subordinates, his voice casual but still carrying an air of superiority. "Who do you think will win?"

The men around him smiled, eager to please. "Of course, it’s you, sir. That little girl can’t be a match for someone as formidable as you."

Luke chuckled. "Indeed." The thought of Ye Lingfeng’s daughter, who had caused him so many headaches, didn’t faze him. Let’s see how long she lasts.

Meanwhile, in the forest, Zhouzhou paused. She stiffened, her ears twitching as she heard a faint noise. Her face turned pale as she urgently whispered, "Be careful!"

Skinny Monkey and the others quickly took cover, darting to the side. The ground beneath them suddenly exploded with several deep craters, and tree branches above them came crashing down.

It was infrared!

Luke had set up infrared traps to catch them. Explore more at novelbuddy

Zhouzhou’s eyes flashed coldly. So, he really can see us.

She knew immediately that Luke was monitoring them from above. The island must be rigged with a network of traps designed to neutralize intruders.

As expected, just a second later, Zhouzhou heard the familiar sounds of machinery from her earpiece. The mechanisms had been activated. Her heart clenched.

After two to three minutes, the voices of Xi Mo and the others came through the earpiece, "Everyone’s safe."

"Safe."

"Safe."

Zhouzhou finally relaxed, but her expression remained focused. "Everyone, stay alert. The traps here will only increase, not decrease."

"Got it."

After taking a short break, they continued moving forward.

Zhouzhou took out a compass, checking it. The needle was still spinning wildly.

She tapped her earpiece and asked, "Zheng Yu, how much longer until the magnetic field interference is neutralized?"

"Wait a moment. Give me five more minutes, and I can pinpoint the locations of all their magnetic field disruptors. But disabling them? That’ll be up to you."

"Understood," Zhouzhou replied firmly. Time was of the essence. To find Ye Lingfeng, they needed to neutralize the magnetic interference.

"Is there anyone else on this island besides us?"

"Yes," Zheng Yu replied, his fingers dancing over the keyboard. "They can use infrared, and so can we. There are about a thousand people scattered across the island, but their positions are constantly changing. I can’t send you the exact locations, so stay on high alert."

Zhouzhou nodded. "Understood. Keep an eye on Luke’s movements as well."

She wasn’t planning on playing nice with Luke. He wanted a game? She would make sure it was a game he’d never forget.

Just then, she spoke up. "Big Brother, are you ready?"

Everyone froze for a moment. Qin Ren? What did he have to do with this?

In the past, Qin Ren’s role had always been to help them prepare equipment before the mission, not to participate directly in the operation.

A moment later, a familiar voice came through the earpiece: "Preparing now."

The voice... was unmistakable. It was Luke’s!

Zhouzhou’s lips curled into a smile. "Looks like Big Brother has to work overtime."

"It’s no trouble. It’s actually quite fun," Qin Ren replied in his usual calm voice.

With no more time to waste, the siblings stopped talking and focused on the task at hand.

Skinny Monkey, scratching his head, couldn’t resist asking, "Boss, what exactly are you preparing?"

Zhouzhou only grinned, teasing, "You’ll see. It’ll be fun."

They were getting impatient, but Zhouzhou wouldn’t reveal a word. Her teasing had them on edge, but they knew it was pointless to try to get more out of her.

"Let’s go," Zhouzhou said. "We need to neutralize the magnetic field disruptors first."

Skinny Monkey watched her leave, shaking his head. "Boss is getting more and more devious."

Zheng Yu, unable to resist, secretly hacked into the lab’s security system. When he saw what Qin Ren was working on, his eyes widened in shock.

They were seriously going to do this?
