Affinity: Chaos-Chapter 1526 Battling A Wind Sovereign
While the man's children were worrying about their father's abrupt disappearance, Grey had taken him some kilometers away to ensure their battle wasn't noticed by anyone, at least not as soon as it started.
The moment Grey and the man appeared on the mountaintop, Grey didn't hold back and attacked in an instant.
The man was still a little confused, but this didn't mean his reaction was slow. He moved his body, and wind elemental essence gathered around him. A cyclone appeared and Grey's attack was sent flying by the man's attack.
The man looked at Grey and didn't seem to recall where he had seen him. He had a sense of familiarity, he just didn't know where he saw him.
"Who are you, why are you attacking me?" The man asked. He had sensed Grey's cultivation stage from the attack just now and it was something he could deal with, hence his calm reaction.
"You've forgotten me, so soon?" Grey didn't attack, he stood and looked at the man's face.
The man didn't seem to recognize him, but he didn't care about it. The man's stunt was a dangerous one and Grey wanted to make him regret it.
Grey was about to speak when a look of realization dawned on the man.
"You were with the kid I made a trade with." The man pointed at Grey.
"I thought that fatty dealt with you guys?" The man asked, a little confused at Grey's appearance.
The only reason he didn't do it himself was because he knew the chubby man was interested in it, and the trio were foolish enough to sleep at his tavern. He left the place the same day since there was no point in staying as there was nothing to be benefited.
"Oh, I see now. Quite capable, I must say." The man realized Grey was already in the Sovereign Plane, and the chubby man didn't have anyone in the Sovereign Plane to deal with Grey.
"I should've waited until the next day." The man murmured, regret slightly heard in his voice.
Grey looked at the man who didn't show any remorse, rather, he was annoyed he didn't stay behind to finish the job. Now Grey didn't need to feel any pity for the man's children. After seeing the man being with his children and grandchildren, the thought of sparing his life crossed his mind. Now that thought has been completely tossed to the side.
"Do you think you can do anything to me?" The man seemed to have sensed the killing intent from Grey and chuckled.
"Kids these days, always overestimating their abilities." The man was amused with Grey's seemingly stupidity. Only a fool would want to fight with someone that's clearly stronger than he is.
Grey had the advantage of the surprise, but he still wasn't able to land an attack on the man. To be fair to Grey, the man had a few seconds to react since he had to take him away from his home, but not being able to attack him was still disappointing in the eyes of the man.
"We'll see about that." Grey moved once again, attacking the man.
The man blocked the fire arrows coming his way and created a tornado that pulled Grey his way.
Grey didn't have the strength to fight against it and was pulled into the tornado. Grey created an earth armor, to block the wind blades hidden in the tornado.
The man saw that this wasn't doing anything to Grey and used the tornado to send Grey as high as he could into the sky, before slamming him into the ground.
Grey's figure caused a deep crater on the ground of the mountaintop.
The man laughed and quickly sent wind spheres into the crater which exploded in the confined space.
He wanted to end the battle quickly and head back to his family for his dinner. He was enjoying his time with them.
The man looked into the crater, only to see a blue light burst out from it.
He took a few steps back to balance himself, and he felt a powerful pain from his back. He turned around, only to see Grey in an almost completely battered earth armor, striking him with his fist.
The man felt his body fly through the air like a broken kite as he was blown from one mountaintop, to another mountain almost five hundred meters away. He crashed into the mountain, but quickly flew out of the place.
He was just leaving when lightning bolts struck the place he landed on.
Grey wasn't messing around, he wanted to test his power against the man alone. Only when he sees he can't do it alone will he need the aid of Klaus' surprise attack.
The man flew at top speed, and his speed was actually better than Grey's speed. Other than the help of the space element that could make Grey appear almost immediately at any location close to him, the man was faster in terms of sheer speed.
The duo engaged in a fierce battle. The man was a master of the wind element, and so was Grey. His use of the elements shocked the man.
The man had years of experience with his wind element, Grey on the other hand hadn't lived half as long as he has, and he has multiple elements too, yet his control over each element was terrifying for his age.
A cyclone appeared, and Grey, covered in lightning, blasted straight into the cyclone in a bid to get close to the man.
The man wasn't severely wounded by Grey's punch the last time, and it was all due to him using his wind element to first cushion any attack that was coming to his body. It was almost like Klaus' ice technique that could detect any attack coming his way.
Grey burst through the cyclone, but he was met with a powerful attack that sent him flying. He crashed into trees, shattering them in the process.
The man didn't stop there, he continued his attacks.
