Chapter 85: Pool table intimacy - Part 1

"Are you sure you’re safe here?" Kyrell asked, pulling into the parking lot of the club.

The restaurant was at least fine. They had booked a private room, away from the crowd. However, the club was overflowing with people, and it was easy for anyone with ill intentions to enter the place.

What if something untoward happened once they were inside?

"Don’t worry. It’s my turf. Nothing will happen," Sienna assured him confidently.

"Does the club belong to you as well?" Kyrell asked with narrowed eyes.

Sienna nodded. "Travis liked partying and going to clubs when he was in university. Sometimes, he’d pull Leah and me to join him. Fearing for our safety in such places, Dad suggested he open a club himself, and here we are."

Kyrell nodded. Again, he was impressed to see how meticulous the Lawrence family was. They didn’t allow their family members to suffer even a bit.

’Since he was so cautious and astute about everything, why did Mr. Lawrence hide the truth about them being in danger from the others? Why didn’t he think of a solution?’ Kyrell wondered, maintaining a poker face. He didn’t reveal anything. But his thoughts kept spinning until the others joined them.

Sienna led them towards the entrance, and the bouncers greeted her immediately.

"They’re with me," she informed, pointing to the people behind her, and walked inside directly.

Kyrell and the gang didn’t have to show their IDs. They were allowed in just like that, and Xavier moved towards Kyrell, his eyes lighting up in mischief.

"Ahh, how amazing it is to have an influential friend!" he whispered, and Kyrell gave him a look that had him moving all the way back.

’Fuck! Why does he look like he wants to kill me? I was teasing. Did he have to show such a ferocious expression?’

Xavier cried inwardly and moved closer to Kyle, who only looked at him strangely before walking ahead.

’Did he look at me in disgust? Am I being shunned?’ Xavier gritted his teeth, his hands itching to punch someone. But he held himself back, deciding to pardon his friends this once.

"Do you want to go to a private room or the next floor, where it is less crowded?" Since the music was blasting off, Sienna had no choice but to lean closer to Kyrell and ask him.

"Let’s go to the private room." Kyrell decided without asking his friends, and Sienna gave him a look he couldn’t comprehend.

Leading them upstairs, she took them to the top section. The crowd was considerably smaller. However, the music was as loud as it was below.

Nodding at one of the bouncers, she led them to the room reserved exclusively for her family.

"This is nice," Kelsey said, admiring the room. There weren’t just couches and tables to chat and drink. There were also a variety of games, including a pool table, a dart board, a karaoke machine, a foosball table, and a lot more.

Not just Kelsey, even the others found the place interesting, and they moved around, trying the games one by one.

Sienna settled on the couch and looked down at her phone, watching the rumors about Dane and Celia spread like wildfire. Esme had done a good job. Now, Dane wouldn’t think about messing with her.

Kyrell stared at her smirk and coughed softly. Taking the seat beside her, he looked at his friends enjoying their time.

"Why don’t you join them?" Sienna asked, sending a quick text of compliments to Esme.

"I’m fine. I prefer to be here instead," Kyrell said, looking at her affectionately.

"Are you sure?" Sienna was still on her phone. So, she didn’t see his warm gaze.

"Yeah. You are here. I’ll be wherever you are."

This time, Sienna’s head snapped towards him instantly, her eyes dilating in surprise.

"Why are you looking at me that way?" Kyrell felt unsure of her gaze. ’Did I say something I shouldn’t have?’

"Why did I not know you had a romantic bone in you?" Sienna asked, still trying to come to terms with the man’s sudden romantic and passionate side. He was nothing like the Kyrell she had met at the hospital for the first time.

"You don’t know a lot of things about me, my dear. You’ll find out slowly," Kyrell said with a smirk, his eyes drifting towards her lips again. He didn’t know why he wanted to kiss her so badly. Those delectable lips beckoned him to commit a crime, and he had to use all his willpower to stop himself from acting on his desires.

To distract himself, he turned his attention to his friends who were having a good time.

"Ky, join us for a game, will ya?" Xavier shouted and beckoned him.

"You should go," Sienna prompted from beside. "They are your friends."

Kyrell felt helpless. Although he wanted to spend more time with Sienna, she was right. They were his friends. He couldn’t ignore them outright.

Heaving a deep sigh, he got up and went towards the pool table while Sienna just watched from where she was.

But her time of peace was shattered when Xavier shouted for her to join them as well.

"Miss Lawrence, please join us," Xavier said, and came to escort her himself.

"But..." Sienna shook her head fervently. "I don’t know how to play."

"Not a problem. Who here is a master? We are all playing for fun," Xavier said, forcing her to get up from her seat.

"I really don’t know how to play," Sienna stressed, walking beside Xavier, who was winking at Kyrell.

"Not a problem, Miss Lawrence. Kyrell will teach you. He is brilliant at pool." Xavier gave a knowing look to Kyrell that said: I created an opportunity for you. Don’t miss it.

"I..." Sienna felt helpless and turned to Kyrell for help. But the man just smirked, showing her directly that he had no intentions of helping her.

"Let’s play. I’ll teach you," he said, selecting his cue stick.

Now, Sienna had no choice but to play along. Shaking her head in defeat, she went to pick a cue. But Kyrell stopped her and handed her to one in his hand.

"What do you want to play? Pool? Billiards? Snooker?"

"Why don’t we play pool?" Isaac suggested, giving Xavier a cryptic look. "Let’s play in teams. Miss Lawrence and Kyrell will be on one team, and Xavier and I on the other."

Kyrell had no qualms with it. Xavier was fine with the arrangement.

Only Sienna wasn’t that confident. Moving closer to Kyrell, she whispered, "Are you sure you want me to play? I really don’t know the rules. You may end up losing."

"It’s no big deal," Kyrell said with a shrug. "If we lose, we lose. It’s just a game."

"If you say so." Sienna pouted, accepting defeat. "Don’t blame me later for not warning you."

"Don’t worry, my dear," Kyrell leaned closer to her until his lips were touching her ear. "I’ll never blame you for anything."

Sienna’s ears reddened at a visible speed, and it looked as if blood would drip out of them any time soon.

Kyrell’s lips curled up into a smile when he saw the effect he had on her. Kissing her ear lightly, he moved back and focused on the game while Sienna fanned herself a few times to calm down.

Who knew Kyrell was such a flirt? Does he want me to get a heart attack?

Sienna’s heart had been hit by an arrow, and it took her a lot of time to calm down.

Meanwhile, Isaac and Xavier ignored the sweet couple and prepared for the game.

Isaac did the break shot, and the balls scattered on the table.

Kyrell went first and aimed at one of the solid balls. Too bad, it didn’t drop into the pocket.

Xavier took his chance and pocketed it. "Solids," he grinned, and Kyrell rolled his eyes.

Now, it was Sienna’s turn.

"Umm... what do I do?" Sienna asked, looking at Kyrell for help.

"Isaac and Xavier will have to pocket all the solid balls, while we will be aiming at the striped balls," Kyrell said, his voice gentle and warm. "We will not be touching the 8 ball until we have pocketed all the striped balls."

Sienna nodded, gaining a fair understanding by now. But she still sucked at aiming and Kyrell came to her help again.

When Sienna bent forward, he leaned forward as well to adjust her hand position. His entire body was pressing down on her. From afar, it looked as if the couple were involved in quite an intimate scene.

Xavier smiled, mischief dancing in his eyes. Even Isaac stifled a smile as he watched his friend take advantage of the situation.

Sienna’s heart pounded against her chest when she felt the man behind her. It was as if he were embracing her from behind. When his hands slid down her arms, goosebumps emerged on her skin, burning everywhere he touched.

Sienna gulped softly and held her breath.

"Pull back and hit the cue ball," Kyrell said, and followed the action, and immediately after, the cue ball hit the striped ball they were aiming for, and it fell into the pocket.

Sienna’s eyes lit up with joy. When Kyrell moved back, she jumped in delight and hugged the man behind her, who was smiling at her dotingly.

"We did it. We really did it."

"Yes, we did." Kyrell hugged her back, his heart flipping in ecstasy. He held her close, hugging her and taking in her delightful scent.

But it lasted no less than a few seconds. Sienna realized what she had done and pulled away instantly, awkwardly pushing her hair behind her ear.

Clearing her throat, she coughed a few times. She really wanted to dig a hole and bury herself. Why did I lose control in front of everyone?

Kyrell knew Sienna was embarrassed. Although he wanted to hug her for some time longer, he respected her actions. Not wanting to see her stressed, he glanced at Isaac, who understood what he was trying to say.

"It’s my turn now," he said and prepared for the next shot.
