She forced her eyes open, staring at that detestable face.

Slowly, he rose to his feet, picking up Morgaine with his hands, which wrapped around her head, squeezing.

His grasp tightened—tighter and tighter—around Morgaine’s head.
The sound of a slowly cracking skull rang out, loud and clear, before—

A body dropped unceremoniously to the ground.

That was her last thought as her world finally darkened completely.

The realization came upon her, and she forced one of her eyes open, only to find the sight of a large, headless figure before her.
Blood spurted out uncontrollably, a head barely held by the strands of its neck bone.
A completely burst head, which she instantly recognized as belonging to the Dracgoblin King.

She ought to be the one gone.
