Absolute Resonance-Chapter 1552: Well Go Together Next Time

There was a boundless ocean of inky liquid, shrouded by a frigid mist. The deep water gave a looming sense of fear to anyone who dared peer into its depths, as if there were unspeakable horrors awaiting beneath the surface.

All of a sudden, the silent ocean churned and the mist rose from the surface, filling up the skies.

As the black mist surged, a massive island with countless white lanterns breached the water and floated slowly on the water.

Four gigantic black lotuses then surfaced from the depths. Space distorted violently within the center of each lotus, then four figures emitting overwhelming pressure materialized. They quietly stood atop the black lotuses, all covered in the black and sticky mist. The mist then rippled, with four pairs of eyes as dark as the abyss opening up. At that moment, the energy in the world around them seemed to freeze.

"Emptiness Heavenly Emperor, your actions have caused an overly large disturbance," one of them said in a low voice.

As the vast energy condensed atop the black lotus, it took the shape of a titanic figure that resembled a pitch-black python whose length was indescribable. The giant python's eyes were dark and countless faces seemed to appear and vanish within them, time and time again.

A familiar voice belonging to the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor rang out next. "Viper Heavenly Emperor, there's no need for such harsh words. Do you think that pilfering a Divine Fruit from underneath the Academic Federation's nose was easy? I had to use up many of my cards to temporarily restrain the Heavenly Emperors from the Academic Federation. I believe that they will take action against us in the near future."

Space warped on another black lotus, revealing a terrifying object. It resembled a beehive, but it extended across thousands of miles and billions of strange insect cries roared from inside it. Life and death auras lingered around it.

The Emptiness Heavenly Emperor stared at the hive. The one who spoke next was another Heavenly Emperor, the Gu Heavenly Emperor. "The fact that you retrieved the Divine Fruit means that our plan has succeeded. There's no need to speak of other things." At this point, a calm and indifferent voice sounded out and when this person spoke, all of the other three, including the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor immediately stopped chattering as they cast their eyes towards the figure.

A powerful force surged in the centremost black lotus, but there was no human figure present. Instead, only a mottled and broken mask floated in the air. White flames flickered in the place where eyes would be on the mask. There was a crack in the spot between where the eyebrows of the mask would be, and the outline of a mysterious fruit could be seen behind it, beating slowly like a heart and releasing horrifying fluctuations.

This was Heavenly Emperor Yin, the leader of the four Heavenly Emperors of the Origin Reversion Institute.

The black mist under the strange and broken mask condensed into a hand that waved gently.

The pitch-black ocean parted and an ancient black coffin appeared, floating before the four Heavenly Emperors.

As the broken mask's dark eyes observed the coffin, Heavenly Emperor Yin's deep voice boomed. "Take the Divine Fruit out."

The Emptiness Heavenly Emperor nodded and then made a motion through the void, causing a spatial rift to tear open. An object flew out of the rift, emanating an esoteric aura.

The surface of the ocean began to produce countless crystals, creating an eerie but exquisite sight.

Heavenly Emperor Yin shot out a dusky ray of light that contained billions of ancient seals within, striking the black coffin. The coffin then trembled and a harsh scratching sound could be heard before the heavy lid began to slowly open.

Suddenly, countless tendrils of blood-red smoke curled out of the opening. They sped towards the Divine Fruit, wrapping around it layer by layer.

Very gradually, the dazzling Divine Fruit became crimson.

Finally, the Divine Fruit fell like a blood-red comet, disappearing into the mysterious black coffin. Countless mysterious runic patterns flickered continuously on the coffin’s surface, then it suddenly expanded, becoming so large that it was capable of blotting out the skies and the sun. It remained floating above the inky ocean.

Boundless amounts of crystalline light fell from it, transforming into floating crystal mountains on the surface of the water.

The four Heavenly Emperors turned to observe the black coffin, and looks of fanaticism appeared in their eyes before they simultaneously bent their bodies. They could sense that the aura within the black coffin was approaching the point where it would truly awaken. When that day arrived, the world would undergo a heaven-flipping metamorphosis.

Heavenly Emperor Yin retracted his gaze and said indifferently, "The Divine Fruit might have landed in our hands, but the Academic Federation has been alerted. With Heavenly Emperor Jiang's personality, I'm afraid that they will earnestly seek to root out the Origin Reversion Institute and challenge us."

"Do they really have the manpower to deal with us? It looks like we need to further our cooperation with the Shadow World," the Viper Heavenly Emperor venomously hissed.

"The Academic Federation will want to learn from us if the rest of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect’s Sect Master's resonances are still preserved. How truly laughable. As the self-proclaimed inheritors of the Sacred Void Resonance Sect's legacy, they actually know nothing at all. It's just wishful thinking and self-aggrandizing," the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor scoffed.

"We will have to make some preparations ourselves. If they truly wish to take action against the Origin Reversion Institute, then we will let them understand the folly of their actions. After all, when we were formed, the Academic Federation hadn't even been conceived yet!" Heavenly Emperor Yin coldly declared.

Then the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor suddenly said, "Right, when I entered the Celestial Mirror Pagoda, I discovered that the Genesis Seed has appeared yet again. It currently lies within a young girl possessing light resonances. We might need a perfect sacrifice like her."

The void in front of him congealed, turning into a mirror that revealed a beautiful woman—Jiang Qing'e. The other three Heavenly Emperors turned their attention over.

The Gu Heavenly Emperor and the Viper Heavenly Emperor didn't seem to react, but Heavenly Emperor Yin's pale white flames representing his eyes briefly flickered. "The Genesis Seed..." he murmured in a low voice. "When the Academic Federation stops, find a chance to capture her."

"A wild Absolute Resonance Seed also popped up." The Emptiness Heavenly Emperor flicked his finger, revealing Li Luo as well. "Don't look down on these two just because they are Dukes. They caused me endless trouble when I was trying to take the Divine Fruit."

Heavenly Emperor Yin took a close look at Li Luo and then nonchalantly said, "His Absolute Resonance Seed won't be able to progress very far if he doesn’t have the Myriad Resonances Golden Pill. If we come into contact with him and he's willing to join the Origin Reversion Institute, we'll allow him to go much further down this path. If he's unwilling... then ruin him. The Absolute Resonance Seed is not something that ants have the right to possess."

The other Heavenly Emperors nodded in agreement, unsurprised by this opinion. In a Heavenly Emperor’s eyes, regardless if it was the Genesis Seed or the Absolute Resonance Seed, they were no different from puny insects.

"Furthermore..." The broken mask's mouth spewed out roiling dusky smoke. As the smoke condensed, it transformed into seven obsidian-colored pearls, each one radiating incredible amounts of corruption. When they appeared, the entire world seemed to howl in agony. "The Ultimate Devil Corruption Seeds have been formed, and we need to find suitable candidates. I hope this batch will be better as only one survived the last one."

When Heavenly Emperor Yin finished speaking, the waves on the inky ocean transformed into onyx mats. At the same time, the space above the mats distorted and six figures appeared.

All of them were trembling slightly and they dropped down to one knee.

"These six seedlings have been chosen by the Thirteen Other Kings. I hope they don’t disappoint us, or they will completely waste years of our effort and blood," Heavenly Emperor Yin said coldly.

"I wish to recommend someone as well." The Emptiness Heavenly Emperor smiled and stretched his hand out, revealing a pile of gray ash. He then flicked a droplet of blood into it and rubbed it gently.

The ashes turned into a bloody mud that fell upon the last mat. A few moments later, a person was formed.

The person immediately bowed towards the Emptiness Heavenly Emperor.

"Thank you, Honored One, for reconstructing my body."

It was none other than Shen Jinxiao!

One was the Absolute Resonance Seed and the other the Genesis Seed. If you're able to successfully refine the Ultimate Devil Corruption Seed, then you'll have a chance to take revenge."

"Yes, my lord." Shen Jinxiao's face, which had turned pale due to the recent revival of his body, now revealed a deranged smile.
