The evolved Great Dao Law within him squirmed, making it feel like something was crawling under his skin, pushing up against his skull.

It was as if the living Great Dao Law was burrowing through him, trying to invade and transform him!

Chen Shi felt a chilling sensation, realizing that the Dao had turned into life and begun to invade the Chang Chun Emperor!

How could such a terrifying and bizarre thing happen?

Who exactly left the Green Palace behind?

The Chang Chun Emperor realized he would inevitably succumb before he even reached the foot of the mountain.

"So, I summoned my Magical Treasure, Heavenly Frost. The instant Heavenly Frost pierced my body, it exploded, severely injuring me."

The Chang Chun Emperor covered his mouth with his hand, coughed softly, and said, "This action not only severely injured me but also the thing inside me. I finally got a chance to breathe, using the leftover power of Heavenly Frost to suppress it, and quickly fled the Dark Sea, returning to the Earth Immortal Realm."

He opened his shirt, revealing his chest, where a radial scar shaped like a wheel but without contours stood out at his solar plexus, presumably the damage caused when Heavenly Frost pierced his body and exploded!

The wound had long healed but hadn't completely recovered. It looked like red centipedes lying on his skin, constantly sucking blood.

The Chang Chun Emperor buttoned up his shirt and said, "On my way back to the Earth Immortal Realm, I realized it was still growing, still eroding me. At that time, I thought only one place could save me - the Dao Ruins."

Confused, Chen Shi asked, "Why could the Dao Ruins save you?"

The Chang Chun Emperor replied, "The Three Pure Ones couldn't establish the Dao Ruins back then, so they left treasures like the Green Stele to suppress the Outer Dao in the Dao Ruins. Therefore, I could use treasures like the Green Stele to help me suppress the thing within me. So, I settled down in the Dao Ruins, barely surviving."

Chen Shi suggested, "Dao brother, perhaps I can help you refine the Outer Dao…"

The Chang Chun Emperor shook his head, interrupting him, "I am alive today because of this Outer Dao."

Chen Shi was stunned.

The Chang Chun Emperor said with a strange expression, "After the Outer Dao infected me, I found that during the Opening Tribulation, my tribulation never arrived as expected. Many tribulations erupted afterward, yet even the Primordial Meeting Tribulation never appeared. I've lived safely until now."

Chen Shi blurted out, "The Dark Sea is without tribulation!"

The Chang Chun Emperor said, "Perhaps that's one way to put it. More accurately, the Outer Dao is without tribulation. In fact, such things have occurred before. For instance, someone discovered that worlds in the Dark Sea had no tribulation for Immortals, prompting people to move worlds from the Xuanhuang Sea into the Dark Sea. Some even attempted to destroy the Sun or assassinate the Great Sun Star Lord, trying to invite the Dark Sea. The Great Sun Star Lord's clone suffered significant losses because of this."

Chen Shi thought to himself, "What does this have to do with the Great Sun Star Lord? The world no longer suffers darkness because the Huaxia Gods established Dao traditions in these worlds, especially with Lady Houtu controlling the Xuanhuang Sea, whose Divine Power, growing steadily, constantly expanded outward. The Great Sun Star Lord was merely an innocent bystander."

The Chang Chun Emperor said, "I am now parasitized by the Outer Dao but have avoided tribulation, thus preserving my life. If you destroy the Outer Dao, my death will soon follow."

Chen Shi proposed, "Perhaps, I can maintain balance between the Outer Dao and the Emperor's Immortal Dao." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

The Chang Chun Emperor was tempted by his words.

He was indeed suffering from the Outer Dao's parasitic effects, especially in recent years, as the Outer Dao inside him grew, attacking his physical body and even interfering with his consciousness, clouding his Dao Heart.

Sometimes bewildered and unsure of who he was, he needed to bind himself with chains in advance to prevent losing his self and committing misdeeds, waking with a deep sense of fear.

Chen Shi slowly unfolded his Daoist Field and said, "Dao brother, your strength is too overwhelming. If you resist me, I won't be able to refine the Outer Dao."

Hearing this, the Chang Chun Emperor allowed his Daoist Field to invade.

Chen Shi was now practicing the Mixed Yuan Infinite Innate Skill, quite different from the Mixed Yuan Infinite Yang Dao Scripture of the past. However, the method he used to refine the Outer Dao was unrelated to his Cultivation Technique; instead, it relied on merging the Outer Dao with his own Dao to alter the Outer Dao that way.

The Chang Chun Emperor felt the Outer Dao inside him contact Chen Shi's Daoist Field and begin to be refined, causing him great surprise.

Despite Chen Shi's much lesser Cultivation compared to him, he could still refine the Outer Dao that even he was helpless against—a truly curious matter.

The two sat across from each other, and day by day passed. More than ten days went by before the Chang Chun Emperor felt the balance between the Outer Dao and Immortal Dao restored inside him. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief and slightly circulate his Mysterious Skill. With a "ding ding," two hairpins inserted in his brain promptly fell out.

"Thank you, Master, for your help!" The Chang Chun Emperor stood up and bowed to Chen Shi.

Previously displaying a sickly demeanor, he now appeared much healthier, expressing his gratitude sincerely.

Chen Shi returned the courtesy with a laugh, "The Emperor has helped me greatly; there's no need for formality. Should the Outer Dao grow again in the future, you may call upon me."

The two exchanged smiles.

Chen Shi rose to take his leave, with the Chang Chun Emperor personally seeing him off, his attitude notably humble.

They parted ways, and after a moment of hesitation, Chen Shi headed towards the valley where Niang Po Primordial Monarch resided.

Upon reaching the valley, Ding Sisi was already there to greet him, smiling, "My mother is awaiting your presence."

Chen Shi followed her to the mountain palace, which was quiet and elegant, surrounded only by ancient trees and residence. There he met Niang Po Primordial Monarch, who appeared to be only thirty, like a Heavenly Girl walking out of a painting. Her clothes gracefully fluttered, though due to injuries, she lay reclined on a couch, unable to rise for a meeting.

"Thank you, Primordial Monarch, for your righteous assistance."

Chen Shi bowed in gratitude to Niang Po Primordial Monarch.

Niang Po Primordial Monarch smiled, "Master, there's no need for such courtesy. I've stayed here for a long time due to injuries, unable to come forth. Please pardon me."

After exchanging a few pleasantries with her, Chen Shi stood up to leave.

Niang Po Primordial Monarch said, "With my body unwell, I cannot see you off."

Chen Shi replied, "Please remain."

As he was about to exit the palace, a gentle voice from behind—a whisper from Niang Po Primordial Monarch—asked, "Master, you're willing to help treat Chang Chun; do you perhaps disdain me for being a woman and refuse to assist? Or did I somehow offend you?"

Chen Shi stopped in his tracks and laughed heartily, "Primordial Monarch, you've misunderstood. It's just that I was unaware if the Primordial Monarch needed assistance, thus refraining from asking."

Niang Po Primordial Monarch lazily extended a delicate, boneless jade hand and said, "I am timid compared to Chang Chunzi, who speaks more freely. Seeing you leaving in haste, I recklessly asked for your aid. I hope you won't hold it against me."

Chen Shi stepped forward, examining her arm and complimenting, "Primordial Monarch, your skin is truly fair. I'm not a doctor, so there's no need to feel your pulse. What ails you?"

Niang Po Primordial Monarch explained, "This is a long story. Seventy thousand years ago, I was trapped by an Immortal Dao tribulation, worrying about how to face the next. Just when I was at a loss, I obtained a Geographical Map of the Dark Sea. It marked a solitary island…"

Chen Shi felt a stir within and said, "On the island is a Green Palace, isn't it?"

Niang Po Primordial Monarch was surprised, "Do you know of the Green Palace as well? Have you been there? No, no. Your strength is too insufficient to cross the Dark Sea and reach it."

In soft tones, she recounted her experience of going to the Green Palace.

Her encounter was almost identical to the Chang Chun Emperor's, having met the Green Palace's suppression while stepping onto the palace's steps, with her internal Great Dao Law spiraling out of control.

Realizing her Great Dao Law's evolution, merging with the Outer Dao and growing more terrifying, as if alive, Niang Po Primordial Monarch knew her fate was grim, prompting her to make the same decision as the Chang Chun Emperor instantly!

She used her own Magical Treasure to severely wound herself, surviving and stumbling out of the Dark Sea back to the Earth Immortal Realm, where she hid in the Dao Ruins to cling to life.

Chen Shi inquired, "Primordial Monarch, were you unable to enter that Green Palace?"

Niang Po Primordial Monarch shook her head, "To survive was already heaven's fortune; entering the Green Palace was beyond hope."

Chen Shi pondered before asking, "Primordial Monarch, could you tell me where you acquired the Geographical Map of the Dark Sea?"

Niang Po Primordial Monarch answered, "I got it by chance. It's said to be left by the Three Pure Ones."
