Abandoned by the Alpha, I Became the Lycan King's Mate-Chapter 408: Irreversible damage
[Donald’s Perspective]
Because the plan I had made for the assault on the hospital was so sudden, Benjamin, who was a Medical Practitioner, did not join the battle with the team. I had left him outside the hospital, ready to respond to my call at any moment.
The Lycan who had just spoken out to stop me had already rushed out with my orders. I slowly put away the gun in my hand and coldly looked at Levi on the ground. I turned to the Lycans still on alert behind me and said in a deep voice, "Tie him up, I want to interrogate him personally later. Kill all the werewolf prisoners from the Spirit Dragon Pack on the island directly. The battlefield is bloody and cruel; they should pay with their lives for their foolish leader and their own desecration of the Royal Family!"
Levi’s blood stained the floor of the corridor red, and I frowned in disgust, turning my head to look at Charlie on the helicopter outside the window.
The noisy sound of the rotors came through the wind was blowing through my blonde hair. I gestured at Charlie to come inside the hospital to meet up.
The Lycans quickly cleared out a ward. Levi, looking like a bloodied gourd, was tied to a chair, his blood staining the floor. Benjamin administered a life-sustaining drug to him, and after using the Truth Potion, he finally began to speak coherently!
"No... don’t hurt Margaret! Let her go, uh!"
"Henry! You shouldn’t have lied to me, you bastard! The Spirit Dragon pack... my people are innocent, you can’t treat them like this!"
"Ahh! I’m going to kill you! Kill you!"
Levi mumbled some incoherent words, his broken face still showing traces of immense pain. Benjamin crouched in front of him with a cold expression and sternly asked, "Who took Margaret from the hospital? Where did Henry flee to after his defeat on the east side of the island? Princess Linton, Martha, has not shown herself throughout the battle; where is she now?"
The disheveled Levi did not immediately respond to Benjamin’s questions, even under the influence of the Truth Potion. Seeing this, I slightly narrowed my eyes, the dangerous killing intent churning within me.
"It seems his willpower is indeed very strong," I said, standing upright. I beckoned to another Medical Practitioner beside Benjamin and continued coldly, "Give him another dose, I don’t believe his bones are that tough."
Benjamin did not oppose my order, even though he knew that an overdose of the Truth Potion could potentially cause irreversible damage to the werewolf’s body.
Throughout this entire process, Charlie, the head of the Royal City’s military mechanized camp, remained composed. Apart from reporting the course of the battle to me, he didn’t speak any unnecessary words.
At this moment, I did not realize how intimidating my own presence was. Other than Benjamin, who always followed by my side, no one else in the room dared to speak much, even their breathing seemed too afraid to be too loud!
"Eh ah!"
That was Levi’s pained scream. The drug was attacking his nerves, and Benjamin did not stop questioning him for a second, looking just like a relentless demon!
Of course, so was I.
"It was... it was Austin who took Margaret! I put a little sleeping medicine in the water she drank, and after she fell asleep, Austin took her out from outside."
"Henry? Henry won’t let Margaret go easily; if he is leaving, he will definitely take Margaret with him. North... the north side, that’s the last escape route Martha left for herself. She will take Henry with her! They must have gone there!"
"Damn Henry! I shouldn’t have trusted him; he said Donald was not to be feared... but the defensive line in the east was so easily broken, he lied to me! He deserves to die, he is a devil!"
Levi started spouting illogical nonsense, tortured by the medication to the point of nearly going mad. One moment he blamed Henry, and the next it seemed like he hoped Henry would come back to rescue him. His whole demeanor was caught in a state of self-attack and contradiction!
Benjamin quietly watched him for a long while, then finally straightened up and turned to look at me, furrowing his brow and reporting in a grave tone, "He’s done for. His brain nerves have been damaged by the medication, and he’ll either be a madman or a fool from now on!"
I did not care about Levi’s fate. I just looked at Benjamin and asked, "So, can we still trust the information he just provided? I mean about Austin taking Margaret and them leaving through that ’escape route’?"
Benjamin, of course, knew what I wanted to ask. He nodded and directly said, "You can believe it, Your Majesty! Although the medication has attacked his brain nerves, causing irreparable nerve damage, everything he just said was his most genuine inner thoughts; it was all the truth."
Hearing this, I glanced sideways at Levi, barely clinging to life in the chair, and after a few seconds of silence, I spoke, "Order Luke’s forces to perform a thorough search and arrest of the rebel forces on the island. Execute those who seek to resist stubbornly on the spot and initially detain those who surrender. I’ll deal with them slowly after they are brought out."
