"Eric and his team wouldn’t have disappeared for no reason, they must have encountered some other trouble," I said, my brows slowly knitting together as I pondered how to deal with the situation at hand.

Indeed, many things had happened recently. Donald’s capable subordinates were either injured or tied up with tasks they could not abandon, and at this moment, there truly was no suitable candidate to take over this matter.

At my words, Donald slowly turned his head, his chest rising more with emotion, he exhaled and replied, "Licia hasn’t told me anything about Henry and Levi, she just kept crying, begging me to forgive her... and forgive Henry and Aunt Martha."

The expression in the depths of Donald’s eyes was one of both distress and concealment, which I found somewhat heartbreaking.

I knew he agreed with my two suggestions. Of course, he didn’t want to part with me, nor was he willing to actually press Licia for answers.

Now that all matters had been planned with solutions, Donald was finally able to ease some of his burdens and breathe a sigh of relief. After returning to the bedroom together, he quickly fell asleep in bed, he was truly exhausted!

Leaning against the pillow, I lay on my side watching him, completely devoid of sleep. Even in slumber, Donald’s brows were slightly furrowed. I turned off the tablet’s screen in my hand and looked up at Donald, who looked much better after a good night’s sleep. It seemed he had reverted to that unique, astute monarch once more.

"I’ll take Elizabeth over to have a look, you go ahead with your tasks. Let’s have lunch together at noon. I’ve asked Ruth to make some excellent steak and delicious soup!"

Donald gave a noncommittal nod, bending down to share a kiss with me before striding into the Eastern Shine Palace’s council hall, where several ministers were already waiting for him.

I glanced briefly at the people in the hall before withdrawing my gaze and leaving. Tomorrow we would set off for Lilo Sea, and before we departed, Donald had to make necessary explanations to the council of elders and ministers, as well as ensure fail-safe preparations.
