Chapter 219: Misty Forest

[Margaret’s POV]

"I heard that long-faced, narrow-eyed man tell Angel that after they successfully take down the Silver Moon Pack, they plan to transfer me and Margaret to a place called... Misty Forest! Yes, Misty Forest, and they mentioned ’MASTER’ will be holding a banquet there. It sounds like a celebration banquet."

Elizabeth’s effort to recall was worthwhile, as she managed to remember another important piece of information: the place called Misty Forest.

As for ’MASTER’ wanting to hold that damned celebration banquet, let him dream on! They were going to be defeated this time, they would be eating our fists and claws instead of a banquet.

I mockingly thought about this enemy I had yet to meet, tightening my grip on Elizabeth’s hand.

"So where is this Misty Forest? Have you heard about it before, Donald?" I asked a bit excitedly, hoping that the information Elizabeth provided could be of some use to Donald.

Donald had been quietly listening to Elizabeth and me talk. When this seemingly mysterious place was mentioned, a glint of interest flashed in his eyes. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

He looked up at me, snapped his fingers handsomely, and replied, "More than heard, we even speculated about this location when we were making the surprise attack plan last night!"

"However, it’s quite a distance from several enemy strongholds we’ve identified, and the terrain is complex and changeable—difficult territory to navigate, truly a hard place to attack and easy to defend."

Donald spoke and then fell into contemplative silence, looking particularly enchanting while deep in thought.

I realized I had inappropriately drifted off again, quickly shook my head, trying to clear my thoughts. Losing my senses because of my mate was definitely not acceptable.

Elizabeth noticed my distraction and asked in a low voice, "What’s the matter, Margaret?"

I shook my head and signaled that it was nothing. I couldn’t very well say that I was a bit struck by Donald’s excessive handsomeness, could I?

"This is very important information. Thank you, Elizabeth, you might have really helped us out a lot."

Donald’s tone was somewhat excited. He suddenly stood up, came over, bent down to kiss my forehead, and without any pause, continued, "I need to discuss some things with Christian. You be careful here, dear. I’ll leave now; see you tonight."

After he said this, he turned and left immediately, leaving me to exchange knowing glances with Elizabeth, who had a teasing look in her eyes.

"Margaret, your relationship with the Lycan King is really good. I’m a bit envious of you," Elizabeth said with a smile, her expression tinged with sadness.

I patted her head encouragingly, "As long as you’re clear about what you want and firm in your decisions, you can be the same. Cheer up, we have a lot to do today. Although Benjamin isn’t very eloquent, he really needs our help."

At my words, Elizabeth shrugged resignedly, attempting to tease me with ease, "You’re always like this, and he didn’t say anything wrong. Sometimes I really want to swap brains with you; you always seem to be smarter than me."

I raised an eyebrow and looked at her with a mischievous glance, "Alright, I admit, I am indeed an excellent girl. And it’s not just that I seem smarter than you, I really am smarter."

Elizabeth rolled her eyes at me wordlessly, as if she didn’t wish to retort.

I laughed aloud and pinched her cheek, continuing, "Come on, no more eye-rolling. You have a lot of shining qualities too! Like your makeup skills, and your understanding of fashion."

"That doesn’t sound like a genuine compliment."

"My dear sister! I truly think you’re amazing, and very pretty and cute! Let’s head out now; mornings are always the busiest times at the hospital."

With my joking and teasing, Elizabeth’s mood seemed to brighten a bit. We had never teased and ’mocked’ each other like this before, and it seemed like a novel, fun way to interact. I believed Elizabeth felt the same, since she had genuinely grown.

In the afternoon, Elizabeth and I left the hospital.

Donald and Armstrong had an important surprise action to carry out tonight, so we needed to head over early to check on them.

Although helping out at the hospital was hard work, receiving various kinds of gratitude from everyone made both Elizabeth and me feel that our efforts were not in vain.

Perhaps inspired by us, Benjamin’s medical team saw the arrival of many girls offering help at noon. Most of them were girls from the pack, and I was delighted by their awareness and commitment.

The lovely and beautiful girls could also make their contributions to defending the pack.
