A Trivial Extra in a Dating Sim-Chapter 10
“There appears to be nothing wrong with the saintess. However, it seems that she may have lost a lot of her vitality while on her way here.”
This was the first time that Evanessa felt grateful for her abysmal stamina.
Eventually, her visit to the wizard’s tower was pushed back by two days.

After the audience ended, Evanessa was guided by the maids and, upon entering the room she was directed to, she immediately sprawled onto the bed. The maids left her alone with the excuse that they would be preparing fresh water for her bath.
“Why, of all things, the wizards’ tower?”
On top of that, Evanessa had no idea how to treat ‘that’. Although she had seen a flash of light in the illustration, it wasn’t as if a detailed explanation had been offered.
In the game’s main storyline, Evanessa didn’t play a large role. She only served as a tool for the pope to spread his own influence, while simultaneously curbing the imperial authority.
Even when the player chose Evanessa as their heroine, she didn’t receive much attention. Her current situation was the type of subplot that would only receive a rough outline that could even be replaced with a single illustration.
‘I guess I definitely have to choose Daniel’s route…?’
If you just disregarded the fact that he had an unrequited love for Lady Beatrice and was a deeply pious believer of the Lunium Church, he was the most normal and safe choice among the five male leads.
There had been only one thing that had kept her from achieving the Happy Ending with Daniel. He was a devout believer. As he was a believer born into the church of Lunium, Evanessa couldn’t become a target of affection for Daniel.
‘Does it feel like a priest is coming onto him when I approach him? But before that, how am I supposed to flirt with a man?’
This was an example of the serious musings of a 25 years old relationship virgin. Someone knocked on the door of Evanessa’s room. It was the maid who had gone to prepare a bath for her so that she could freshen up for the welcome party scheduled at dinner.
“Your saintess. We have finished preparing the bath.”
That was the start of her hellish makeover. By the time Evanessa had managed to pull herself free from the hands of the maids, there were only 30 minutes left until the welcome party.
‘What was the point…’
As the icon of the church, the saintess had to cover her face with a veil at all times when outside of the church. This rule was enforced on the pretext of completely blocking her from having any contact with the opposite sex.
In reality, those who had made this rule, like the pope and the other priests, were allowed to walk around with their bare faces despite being of the same holy profession. She had even heard that there were priests secretly having flings with young noblewomen.
‘Isn’t this a type of discrimination?’
However, the maids had carefully decorated this face that was just going to be covered up anyway. Before she put on the veil, the maids had made a fuss about admiring her looks as they circled her.
“Your saintess. You are really too beautiful.”
Only
“The fact that I am able to see the saintess’s face every year brings everlasting honor to my family.”
“It is truly a shame that we have to cover up such a masterpiece.”
While she listened to the maids paying lip service, Evanessa stared at the beauty in the mirror with an expressionless face.
‘It’s not like it’s my real face anyway.’
However, she had to admit that she really was beautiful. She gently stared at the reflection in the mirror of her beautiful body, that could only be described as pure or graceful, and how the ivory-colored dress she was wearing emphasized her elegant curves.
“You have all worked hard. Thank you for dressing me up so beautifully.”
For some reason, the maids’ expressions seemed strange. Then once again, someone was heard knocking at the door.
One of the maids who looked to be in her teens left the room to check who was at the door, only to return to the powder room with an elated look on her face.
