Chapter 443: Descending into the Mines with Companions

The banquet is considered a resounding success and although it won’t be happening again as this was considered a victory party and not an annual event, the King has expressed how happy he was with the result especially the dishes that Elaina Zangrande made.

The rumors of the food being great and has various properties circulated around the nobles. Although the First Princess and the two Princesses made sure to keep the truth only within the Royal Palace and the people working for both the King and Queen, there is bound to leak those information to the populace.

Thankfully, due to how the information seems to have been twisted so much that even though majority of the information is a real thing, few believed it and as a result, Elaina is still living the normal life even after the banquet.

"I thought for sure things would be harder for me to handle since the effects of my cooking might intice many people, but it seems that the people mostly thought of it as just a rumor so I am a lot more happier that things happened that way," Elaina sighed in relief.

"Of course. You specifically wanted to be enjoying the farm life without the need of unnecessary attention so we took advantage of our positions to ensure that even if those rumors leak out, it will turn hard to believe," Princess Tabatha said as she swings her sword, following Elaina’s teaching.

"Does your father asked me to become his cook as a result?" Elaina asked.

"You are correct. He did try but my sister and I alongside with my brother helped out on dissuading him from doing so and by giving good responses that would allow you have less priority on being a cook and more of a farmer."

Elaina was fully expecting the king to fully hire her as a cook but thanks to his children, he can still retain her peaceful life that she loved.

"Thank you for the training, Master. I think I am getting the hang of it and I am getting fast in fighting with the sword as well."

"It won’t be long before you can surpass me, Princess. With how diligent you train, I always remember the time I used to train just to survive back then. My growth was fast because my life was at stake at that time but with how dedicated you are, even if you are not doing this becauss you are in danger, catching up won’t be to far off."

"Hahaha, stop that Master. Considering how well you use your sword, I don’t think I can match up to you so soon."

After talking a bit more, Elaina gave Princess Tabatha a takeaway food which the latter happily took away. With the practice session over, Elaina readies herself to go to the Mines.

"Are you kids ready?" Elaina shouted. freёnovelkiss.com

The kids went out and the two boys are now ready to explore as they carry various items that would help them to survive the mines.

"Do we really need to head over just to fetch the swords that are forged for us?" Arthur asked.

"Indeed. Since the swords are going to be something that you two will be wielding, it is necessary that you two will hold the swords for the first time and make the "imprinting" process much easier."

"Does that mean the swords we see in the future ball are the swords that we will be seeing later?" Raye looked at Elaina and has gotten excited.

Elaina only smiled. Although she thinks so as well, she is still not sure whether those swords that appeared in the Future Ball would be the same swords that the Chief made for them.

As the two goes out of the house, Adelaide also came out and are also equipped like her brothers. But compared to the two, she is more relaxed and a little bit laidback, showing how she isn’t that excited to fight compared to the other two.

"Is it really necessary for me to also get a sword of my own? Sure the future me will be also wielding swords, but wouldn’t waiting for a bit would be enough?"

"Might be, but it would be best to have the blacksmith that I commissioned to hear what kind of sword you wanted. Besides, you already have something in mind already, yes?" Elaina smiled at Adelaide.

Adelaide nodded. "Yes. Although I won’t be using sword much, I wanted a sword that I can also use as conduit for magic. A magic wand perhaps."

Layla came out behind Adelaide but unlike the latter, she will be staying at home. Since she is not going to use any swords, there is no point for her to even come with them.

"Then, I will look out for the farm in the meantime, Mother. I also wanted to try fishing as well, so can you teach me later?"

"Aren’t mermaids and fishes friends?" Arthur frowned.

"Hey, we might have the same fins, but that doesn’t mean I don’t eat fish. And just because we swim in the water doesn’t mean mermaids like me are fish!" Layla pouted.

"Arthur, we already told you many times about this right?" Raye frowned.

"But seriously, I don’t understand! Their tails are quite similar to one another!"

After that, Elaina entrusted the farm for a bit to Layla. The others will be there to help Layla but since she is also trying to learn, they won’t be interfering and would be helping.

As for the four of them, they headed straight to the mines.

...

...

...

"Wow...I didn’t know there was a mine not too far from the farm! Does that mean this is where you gwt those ores from, Mother?" Raye asked.

"Correct. The Quarry and the mines are nearby and since they always have ores available, if I wanted to get one, I just head there and find it myself instead of purchasing it from other people which might be expensive."

"Still, even though it is just the mines do we really needed to be geared up just to head there?" Adelaide asked, seemingly curious on why Elaina wanted them to gear up properly.

"You will see, Ade. You guys also prepare as well, things will not be easy once we descend to the mines. The Blacksmith we are looking for is currently located deep into the mines."
