Once the group had arrived at home, Elaina didn’t bother to change clothes and just popped in her apron and went inside the kitchen, where she kept the pouches filled with ingredients. One would think of a refrigerator or jars when it comes to food preserving. Maybe even some rustic storage and maybe even primitive ways just to keep the food from spoiling, but thanks to her Brother, who had some connections was easily able to procure the so-called "Item Pouches."

The "Item Pouches" are pouches with pocket storage inside. The only difference between these pouches and a regular bag that has the same principle as these pouches is that time inside these pouches is frozen meaning the moment an item was placed inside, it will be frozen in time over there and every changes that should have happened over there by the passing days would cease to exist due to that effect.

Of course, once one removes the ingredient from the pouch, they will have their "time" continued again, and they can spoil afterwards. That’s if they are going to remain outside the pouch. If they are put inside again, they will be frozen in time again, and their state will remain suspended until it is taken out once more.

As for the type of curry that Elaina plans to make, she decided to do the creamy version of curry. Not only is it a semi-soup, but it is also hot and filling in the stomach, which will make anyone who eats it try to slurp up the soup itself. And for that curry to become creamy, one has to use cream, like yogurt or milk.

She already asked in advance if any of the soldiers have any lactose intolerance condition that can trigger, which is fortunately not present among the soldiers and magicians, meaning Elaina can freely use milk products like yogurt to make the curry she is going to make. But before she was about to use any milk products, Elaina remembered something.

Not too long ago, she acquired a few coconuts from one of the merchants. Coconuts are not native to Darcero Kingdom, and although one can still grow coconuts normally, no one will be able to see a natural coconut growing anywhere, even on the beach, which is why when she got a few mature coconuts, she checked every piece to see if any of those coconuts are going to grow sprouts and become a mature tree in the process.

Most mature coconuts have no tendency to grow a sprout, as some do not have the right environment or are plucked off the tree prematurely and become mature after some time off the tree, which naturally results in not having the possibility of growing a regular sprout. Fully matured coconuts, on the other hand, have a very high chance of generating a sprout. It’s not always, but it is highly likely to happen, and luckily for Elaina, two of the mature coconuts have a sign of life growing inside, thanks to the Almanac helping her identify the coconuts that can be used to grow sprouts and make them grow big trees.

And so, instead of using it for cooking, she set them aside and allowed the sprouts to grow bigger and slowly grow roots. As for those coconuts that have been lacking the signs to grow sprouts, those are the mature coconuts she will be using this time around.

She got four of them, ready to use. Since coconuts are not native anywhere in either Luminiera Kingdom or in Darcero Kingdom, she has to rely on the Almanac on how to prepare them, and thankfully, the process was easy enough to understand.

Once the coconuts are cut open, she prepares the coconut grater that was included in the package of the coconuts. At first, Elaina has no idea how it was used, but once again, the Almanac helped her figure it out, and in just a few minutes of scraping off the flesh of the coconut, she is ready to squeeze out the coconut milk from the mature coconut flesh.

With the coconut milk ready, time to prepare the vegetables, spices, and meat, and the most necessary thing that a curry should always have: curry powder.

Contrary to the usual curry powder, Elaina personally made it, as crafting the curry powder somehow counts as cooking, and preparing it alone is enough for a buff to be applied to it. As for creating it, it was easy since most of the forages she found in the forest and a few spices she personally grew on her farm allowed her to create an aromatic and natural curry powder that enhances the flavor of any curry dish she will be making in the process. Turmeric, cumin, wild ginger, and her home-grown black pepper, ground to powder, and mixing them together, creating her own curry powder with a buff that allows natural energy recovery to be twice the normal. In short, it has the same effect as a regular energy drink.

With the children done in preparing the vegetables, Elaina prepared the meat. Since she will be cooking a big pot of curry for the soldiers, she decided she would increase a lot of the necessary ingredients to also make the pot full of curry, enough for the starving soldiers.

What happens next is to cook the whole thing and make it a creamy curry. Although Elaina is hoping that the food she will be creating will hold the same buff as they had with the fried rice earlier, with how she can’t control the buff being applied, she can only pray that the buff that will appear after cooking the dish is somewhat beneficial for the soldiers.

Now that all the ingredients are all ready to be used, Elaina started cracking her knuckles and smiled.

"I see. So, all of the food that was supposed to be coming for us was wasted after an ambush from bandits coincidentally destroyed all of the food supply we had? No wonder they are doing all they can to stall. They are already planning to wear us down with this attempt," the first prince shook his head after reading the report of the soldier that has made a follow-up to check on the food supply request that should have arrived long ago.

"So if Master didn’t come here during that time, we would have our soldiers starve in the process? With our regular supply slowly running out, it would be a matter of time before we are no longer able to fight since we run out of basic necessities to continue fighting. Clever tactic but very devious considering they even considered doing a stalemate strategy," the first princess shook her head in disappointment. "Perhaps we should use the remaining supply that the market has accumulated? It’s not really meant for the soldiers, but with an emergency like this, until we can get ourselves to find another way to grab a steady supply of resources."

"No. Just because the army needed it doesn’t mean the regular people no longer needed it. Considering that a large portion of our population still remains in the kingdom, we can’t afford to slice more of that stored supplies and use them for the war. The people will riot in the process once the supply immediately runs out."

As the two continue to discuss the topic of the diminishing food supply, Princess Margaux seemed to suggest something.

"What about procuring the supply from Miss Elaina’s farm? Not only most of the supplies that the market has come from her farm, but since she owns a farm, she can continue to produce the necessary supplies we all need, from medicinal herbs to food?"

The two paused on their banter and looked at Princess Margaux with a bit of shock on their faces.

"I think that is a good idea. And having that food again from Miss Elaina’s cooking was something else. If the soldiers gets to keep on eating food with similar effects as the food we eat every meal, wouldn’t that break the plan that the enemy carefully planned out for our downfall from the inside," the first prince recalled the food he tasted earlier and he couldn’t agree more on Princess Margaux’s suggestion.

If what Elaina is supplying is as fresh as the supply she used for cooking, that also means that they will have no problem with the food that the soldiers will possibly need in the future.

"But will she agree, though? As much as we needed food, Master still has a family to feed, and considering how many supplies we will need, wouldn’t that be too much even for her?" the first princess is worried that Elaina will be overwhelmed in the process.

"Don’t worry, my disciple. I have already planned it out after the revelation that a war is going to happen." Elaina suddenly entered the tent of the siblings.

"Miss Elaina!"

"Master!’

The First Prince looked at the guards guarding outside the tent, and they gave a thumbs-up to him before they returned to their regular post.

Elaina swipes her golden hair to the side and smiles. "By the way, anyone hungry? The menu for today’s dinner would be creamy curry. How about filling your empty stomachs first before we continue our discussion?"
