A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods-Chapter 390: Time Goes On

As a way to monitor Alfred, Rakkan, and Liliana decided to bring him back with them instead of leaving him in the care of Elaina. Considering that Elaina will slowly spiral out of control if she is left alone with Alfred for some time, they wanted to ensure his safety while also extracting valuable information regarding the situation in Luminiera Kingdom. If things go right, they can take advantage of Alfred’s presence in Darcero Kingdom to win the war in the future.

Yona and Julia also did one last reading on his memories after the discovery of that certain memory to look for more information and they confirmed that what he all said before was true. It is also true that he has no involvement whatsoever with the brewing war plans, making him an innocent ruler this time around. As a way of proof, Julia and Yona extracted a few of these memories and did it like earlier to make proof of the legitimacy of his claims. Thanks to that and the protection from the former heroes, even if he told them about the war while also technically the ruler of the aggressor, he will be safe from any sort of harm that will come his way like being imprisoned or something like that. He might be the Emperor of Luminiera Kingdom but considering that he is not even part of the planning team, he is no more than a regular bystander who happened to learn something important.

Perhaps once the royal family learns about this, they will also begin bolstering the army in general and fortifying the kingdom’s defenses. Thankfully, the son and daughter of the Royal Family, the First Princess and First Prince are people who are capable of doing their best in assessing things to turn the tides of war.

For Elaina however, with this war looming in the horizon, big changes started to occur over the farm.

If I keep on staying here, I will just become a big burden. I will take this time to improve my spell and abilities to ensure that it will be able to help you in the future. Don’t worry, Sis. I already made preparations about this and Yona will be maintaining all of this spell to continue working even if I am not around. Until then, I will journey in strengthening myself. The next time you will be meeting me, I will be someone strong enough to even rival Yona, hopefully."

After that talk, Julia also bid farewells to the others. Adelaide and Arthur started crying upon hearing this. Their reasons vary but for Arthur, he is sad that Yona will leave, while for Adelaide, while she understands what she will be doing, has gotten attached to her with her missing from the house soon, her presence will be something that Adelaide will not forget.

With time passing by in the blink of an eye, the passing years just seem like yesterday.

Things have changed quite a lot on the farm after the seven years time skip. The farm has become more larger now that Elaina decided to purchase the 2 hectares(20,000 sq m) of free land adjacent to her farm. Considering that no one else would want to buy a land that is near the forest, Elaina easily acquired the land for herself. After her acquisition of this land, Elaina’s farm became the 5th largest farm in Darcero Kingdom.

Compared to how she does her farm in the last few years, the farm has changed significantly. Thanks to the size of the land, Elaina has now made specific areas of the land for the monsters she tamed to graze freely and areas where specific crops like grapes are being grown for fall.

Not only that but thanks to the new land, she also obtained a good place to grow fruit trees as well. With the help of the ever-helping Feys, the farm is developing quite well and Elaina is quite happy about this. It’s also thanks to this acquisition of the farmland that the development process of the tractor has progressed quite a lot that it is now helping around in the farm. While the farm was developing, Elaina also didn’t skimp on the livestock. After taming the Regal Bees and the Planting Pot-Shelled Crabs, the bees Regal Bees have already made home of the big tree, now dubbed by Yona as the honey tree as it is now dripping with literal honey around the branches. Thanks to Elaina taming the bees, Elaina and everyone on the farm are free to take the excess honey and royal jelly that they produce which Elaina uses for recipes on cooking that Elaina uses for producing artisan products. With how much the honey overflows around the tree, even if Elaina harvests a year’s worth of honey, the honey they produce still continues to appear, making it seemingly infinite. Yona’s studies have also begun to take fruit as well, allowing her to convert excess honey into Royal Jellies instead.

As for the Wild Cows, a few of these cows have recently given birth, allowing Elaina to also start milking them. Considering that this fresh milk came from Wild Cows, even Elaina’s taste of milk has shifted from regular cow milk to Wild Cow’s milk. Right now, Elaina is not selling Wild Cow milk at the moment and is focusing on increasing the number of Wild Cows. Curaj is very good at handling these cows that Elaina barely has any handling on them and more like Curaj is the one handling them all.

The Hencluckles are also increasing in number and Elaina had to expand the chicken coop to Jacob due to the Hencluckles. Thankfully, Elaina managed to cull their sudden increase and had to butcher a few of them just to reduce their numbers. It’s unfortunate but it is a necessary sacrifice if Elaina wanted to keep the Hencluckles manageable.

Right now, she is focusing on developing the farm further. After the revelation that war is about to go to war, Elaina focused her time divided in taking care of the farm and her children. She didn’t skimp on taking care of both twins and Raye who is developing quite fast as well. Right now, the three babies have grown into 7-year-old kids.

As for the situation regarding the war, things are still progressing in the background. Thanks to the informants that are planted in Luminiera Kingdom, Darcero Kingdom is currently receiving the latest news about the development of the war and how things are progressing.

Based on the news that Elaina received, it seems that war will soon break out sooner or later. Many families have already prepared themselves to brace for this upcoming war, but they are not worried. After all, with the Darcero Kingdom also bolstering both the offense and defense of the kingdom, they are ready to face off against the invaders that will come in the future from all directions.

What about the ruler of Luminiera Kingdom? Well, things have turned quite differently than everyone expected. After the disappearance of the Emperor, the one who took over the ruling process instead was given to none other than Elaina’s sister, Selena. Their relationship was supposed to be on bad terms but after Elaina saw how Alfred had changed, Elaina basically forgave him for his cheating scandal...of course, their marriage couldn’t be rekindled again, but the two are happy enough to just become friends and Alfred is already content with that. He already accepted his fault and he didn’t want to ruin the relationship again by getting back with her again. Instead, he is supporting her as the father of the twins by giving financial support and also visiting from time to time. Considering how things have started with them, the end of their relationship is somehow better than one would expect. They might not have become a couple once again, but at least, they are supportive parents to the growing children.

Things have changed a lot, but soon, things will be changing further. And its only a matter of time before these changes can affect the world.
