A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods-Chapter 380: Creating A Bee Colony

Elaina and Yona returned home with the latter carrying the half destroyed beehive with both the drone bees and the Queen Bee inside it using telekinetic magic while Elaina is holding on one of Planting Pot-Shelled Crab on her hands to make space for the injured worker bee she tamed earlier. Seeing this scene before the others were a bit shocking. The first people who have seen this scene were Curaj and the Feys who are currently tending the Wild Cows and letting them pasture around the grasses.

Seeing Elaina and Yona appear from the forest entrance with monsters with them were something they were not expecting to see. As they got close, Arthur and Adelaide came out from the backyard carrying their toys also see Elaina and Yona approaching the house so instead of returning inside, the two rushes to the two and welcomes them back.

"Welcome back, Mom, Miss Witch!" Arthur innocently greeted.

Adelaide scratches her head as she looked at Elaina’s hand. "Mom, is that a monster in your hand?"

Elaina grinned and extended her hands with the Planting Pot-Shelled Crab in her hand for Adelaide to fully see. "Indeed it is! Look at it and see how it looks cute!"

The crab on Elaina’s hands wriggle its legs, seemingly saying like greeting the person before it. Arthur is quite fascinated by it that he even started poking it but Adelaide stopped him from doing so.

"Hey, don’t poke it! We don’t understand taming monsters but what if it attacks you for doing so?" Adelaide still has her guard up.

Elaina chuckled by Adelaide’s response to Arthur’s poking. "Don’t worry, Ade. Once tamed, it will not attack anyone unless it was attacked and if it was threatened just like regular animals now. Their wild nature of attacking humans will disappear once they are tamed so as long as the poke will not kill something, it is totally fine."

After saying that, Elaina looked around the farm and soon found an ideal spot that she can put the pot crabs down. Underneath the Apple Tree. Just by looking at the tree, one would mistake the tree before them to have been growing for 20 years when Elaina just planted the Apple Tree last year. That’s how big the Apple tree that she have planted have grown.

"This place is perfect. The sunlight shines bright here in the morning and it is a good shade during noon when the sun is hot. Perfect place for these little guys for photosynthesis."

Yona also approached Elaina and pointed on the beehive floating above. "Miss Elaina, where should I attach the beehive?"

Elaina looked around the farm if there are any good areas where the beehive can be attached but seeing no good tree to be compatible compared to the Apple tree’s size, Elaina sighed and pointed on one of the branches of the tree.

"Just attach the beehive temporarily on the apple tree’s branch for now. It would have been great if we have a tree that is good for the beehive to be relocated."

When Elaina said that, the Goddess of Taming intervened. "[Actually, Elaina, we do have that. I just asked the God of Farming to put it on sale on his personal store, you know, the one you buy seeds? Yeah, with your recent achievement of taming these monsters, these should help out get you started on making your big bee colony. You could say it is an ideal habitat for the bees.]"

Hearing this, she stopped Yona from attaching the beehive to the tree and rushed inside the farmhouse to check the catalog and see what this new stuff that the Goddess of Taming added that will be beneficial for the bees.

She started flipping the pages and soon found a new page that is labeled as "Habitats". Inside the page contains three things. A seed, a packet and bottle that is labeled Bee Attractor. She checked the seed’s information first to see what this does.

The tree is designed to accommodate bees and handle their honey much easier that allows easy harvest of honey without destroying or breaking the beehive’s honeycombs. Obtaining a honeycomb is also much easier as well using this tree. Can be upgraded to accommodate the growing colony of bees that is living in the tree.

The tree will be quite big if upgraded and if fully upgraded, it will be the same size as old oak trees. Make sure to plan out for space if you want to ensure that the tree will still have space if you want to upgrade it.

Seeing this, Elaina couldn’t help but chuckle. Just how convenient that this came up when she needed a place for the bees to stay? And a tree that grows as big as an old oak tree means that this tree will get really massive. One can say that a massive oak tree means a big space for the tree alone.

"Looks like the last empty field I have will be taken over by this tree then. Time to purchase the neighboring plot of lands soon."

Then, Elaina checked on the packet next to the seed and Elaina knew it was the item necessary for the upgrades of the seeds. To fully grow the tree and upgrade it, one will need to buy the packet and use it as a fertilizer to the tree. It will then grown and get "upgraded" once. It can only be used once a month meaning Elaina can’t buy a lot and fully grow a tree in one go. Elaina was a bit disappointed but she didn’t mind it.

Her attention shifted to the bottle next to the packet, the one with the label "Bee Attractor". She reads its little description and just like the bottle said, it is a bottle that acts as a "fake honey" that will attract regular bees to the area where the "fake honey" was slathered. If it was slathered on a tree, there is a high chance that tree will gain a new resident that will start making honey.

Honestly, Elaina would have used this little bait for her previous plan before, if she didn’t came across the bees. But now that she has these bees, Elaina doesn’t need to find more.

"By the way, Goddess. I didn’t think much of it before, but now that I have these bees, I have been thinking. Since I tamed these bees, does that mean, the new batches of bees are something I will have to tame again? After all, these new batch are something I didn’t tame at all."

"Good Question Elaina and I am glad you asked since I didn’t get to tell you about this matter. You see, if your tamed monster gives birth to an offspring, the offspring will immediately be tamed, meaning, they will remain docile unless they are actively attack will remain. You don’t need to keep on checking if they have babies to tame again and again. It is an automatic progress. Of course, since it is automatic, you will gain experience like normal as well, so it is a good idea to have your tamed monsters procreate."

Learning this, Elaina sighed in great relief. She was afraid the new batch of bees will attack them if they are born. She is worried but it was for nothing as the taming process was automatic.

With all her concerns gone, Elaina bought the seed. Since Elaina has been stockpiling her FP to buy new blueprints for machines since the God of Farming made them expensive, she has a lot of FP that she can just use to buy new stuff.

She bought the seed and one of the packets to upgrade the tree. She wanted to see how big the tree could get in first upgrade. It doesn’t mention how many times the tree will get an upgrade but she wanted to see how big it will get anyways.

Once the purchase is done, Elaina returned and this time, she rush towards the empty vacant lot that she has yet to find use at the moment and is still very much full of weeds. Heading to the center, Elaina pulls out from her bag the garden trowel and started digging a shallow hole where she dropped the seed. She then covered it before rushing to the tool shed and grab her rusty watering can and headed back to the dig site and poured water on it.

Yona and the others are confused on what Elaina is doing and after Elaina is finished watering what she was planting on the vacant plot, Yona quickly asked Elaina.

"Miss Elaina, what did you just plant there?"

"The tree that will become the new habitat for these bees."

Yona was confused at first but she soon realized what Elaina meant when all of a sudden, a small sprout appeared on the vacant lot and slowly got bigger. It continued growing and soon became a full-fledged tree in just a matter of seconds and soon became a smaller apple tree in size but based on its appearance, the tree looks like a young oak tree.

But Elaina is not yet done. Once the tree stopped growing, Elaina returned to the tree and poured the packet to the tree’s roots and she returned to her post once she is done doing so. Yona was confused but as soon as the tree started to grow once again, she soon realized that Elaina is indeed making a suitable place for the beehive. But what she doesn’t understand is how the tree grows instantly. But she doesn’t know, after all, Elaina remained quiet about it.
