A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods-Chapter 375: Swimming on the Beach

Many people ask: Why do people flock to the beaches during summer? What about spring and fall?

While the answer is simple, there are also smaller reasons why but the ultimate answer for that is straightforward. It’s because it is very hot. But why not just take a bath regularly? While that is an option, some people just want to swim in a bigger place instead of their bathtub where they can only soak themselves. And for some people, they only needed a good reason to also flaunt out their bodies without being called indecent and for some people, it is a good chance to find their destined partner, and for people who didn’t care about all of the above options, it was because they just wanted to have fun and maybe bond with their family members.

Right now, Elaina and her family are currently enjoying summer. Thanks to the location that her brother Troy picked out, the place they are in is not crowded, a bit more private compared to the other parts, and has a good space for sunbathing and building sand castles for the kids.

Elaina had already changed to her swimsuit after entering the changing room. Unlike the others, she didn’t wear her swimsuit inside her clothes. Her underwear and swimsuit are different after all.

"[Isn’t it kind of weird that humans are embarrassed to be seen in their regular lingerie and yet they are not embarrassed in swimsuits which is just the same thing but designed for summer. It kind of contradicts, right?]" The Goddess of Medicine talked to Elaina while she was changing to her swimsuit.

"Ah, I do wonder about that as well. Although it was indeed embarrassing when seen in lingerie, the same goes with swimsuits. However, because swimsuits are common on beaches, what is considered a rare sight becomes a common sight. You can say that it takes the sensual thing on swimsuits and is instead replaced in the mind of people as the standard clothes when on the beach. In short, it is some sort of opinion-related mindset. Swimwear is not considered too sexual compared to lingerie, making them fine."

After finishing wearing her swimsuit, Elaina looked at herself in the mirror. She is wearing a light blue two-piece swimsuit with a translucent beach sarong currently tied around her waist. It covers her bottom, but can still be slightly seen if she walks or if one stares hard enough at the translucent reflection. Pretty common outfit on the beach, but with Elaina wearing it, it shows Elaina’s body that is toned from all the work she does every day. She isn’t muscular yet her body is lean and her figure shows. One can say that she doesn’t look like a woman who has given birth before just from her physique alone.

"[Although I am a Goddess, I do think I saw an appeal on swimsuits. Maybe once I head over to the ocean here in the Gods Realm, perhaps I should also do the same?]" The Goddess of Taming looks interested in Elaina’s outfit.

"[Ha....I really can’t see the appeal.]" the Goddess of Medicine sighed.

Elaina chuckled before she left the dressing room and went back to their space on the beach. Everyone has already changed to their swimsuits and even the kids have already removed their regular clothing and revealed their swimsuits as well.

Troy is the first to see Elaina and he gave her a thumbs up. "Sis, with your body rocking like this, I can see other people checking out on you. Perhaps you will find the one who will heal your wounded heart?"

Elaina lightly smacks her brother on the shoulder. "Unlike my Ex-Husband who easily replaced me even when we were still married, I don’t think I will engage in romance for quite some time. I would rather focus on my children first instead of caring about those things."

Hearing this, Troy nodded. "Fair enough. Now that you got three kids to take care of, I don’t think getting a new partner would be a good idea."

Troy then looked at Raye who was being carried by Julia. "Still couldn’t believe that you would adopt a kid as soon as you found them. But I can’t blame you if you immediately decide to do that. Perhaps you immediately found a connection with him?"

"Maybe. It’s not like I was forced to adopt him. I took him in by choice," Elaina said. Even though some voice did give Elaina permission to take Raye with her, it is still within her own reason that she brought him back and adopted him. The voice didn’t even order her to take her in and raise her like her own child.

"Alright Elaina, it’s your choice and I am not going to wrong you with your choice. Anyway, you go play with your kids. They are eagerly waiting for you to swim with them. I will be helping Fey here instead. Enjoy your time and I will just call you all once everything is ready."

"Okay, Brother. You too as well, enjoy your time," Elaina gave Troy a playful elbow while grinning and looking at the busy Dr. Fey.

"H-hey...not so loud alright?"

Elaina chuckled before she headed to Adelaide and Arthur waiting for her. Both of them are wearing their floaties on their waists.

"Mother, I feel silly wearing this floaty, to be honest," Adelaide looked at herself and the floatie on her waist.

"Well, do you know how to swim?"

"I do."

"In that new body of yours?"

"..." Adelaide is speechless as Elaina indeed pointed out something.

"This is a support in case you don’t know how to swim yet. I know you know how to swim by experience in your past life, but past life and current life are different. Perhaps if you applied it before, I wouldn’t mind you swimming without a floatie but right now, this should be your first time swimming in the sea like this. Just wear it for protection and practice swimming alright? It’s a good way to also train with your brother and have the two of you get used to swimming."

"...Fine..." Adelaide sighed.

Elaina looked at Arthur. He has not said anything but his eyes are fixated on the ocean. Elaina can see in his eyes that he is ready to dive into the water even if he still can’t swim. Elaina thinks he is adorable and wishes that if she had something to record at that moment, it would have been a great thing. Sadly, there wasn’t anything like that right now.

"Let’s hold hands together, you two. Be careful alright? Don’t lose your slippers. We don’t know if there are any sharp objects in the water hiding in the sand. It’s better to be safe than to be sorry."

One held Elaina’s hand tight while the other reluctantly held it. However, in the end, the moment her feet touch the water, her grip on Elaina’s hand tightens, making Elaina smile. Even if she knows how to swim, this body of hers has yet to experience anything about swimming. Starting small first, she already knew how to swim, she just needed to have this current body of her to adapt now.

And so, Elaina took the two kids into the water. Not too deep that they would start tiptoeing underwater but not too shallow either. Just enough for their floaties to float and yet they can still touch the sand.

"Alright, you two. Since you two have some floaties, let’s learn how to float in the water without the need for the floaties, okay? But first, familiarize yourselves with floating for a bit while the floaties are present. Then we shall slowly remove the floaties afterward."

Elaina continued to teach the two kids how to swim. She didn’t dwell too much on Adelaide giving instructions since she knew how to do it, she just needed to have her body follow, she just held her hand and didn’t let go to ensure that she wouldn’t be swept into the ocean. As for Arthur though, Elaina focused on teaching the young boy on swimming. He is quick to learn it and seeing his fast learning ability, Elaina is kinda shocked seeing it firsthand.

Adelaide adapted to the water quickly as well and the two have begun to practice without their floaties. After removing the floaties and putting them in their beach spot, the three returned to the water slowly. And Elaina can only smile seeing the two practice their paddling. Adelaide even started moving without holding on to Elaina anymore. Elaina stays close to her but she is no longer being held by her Mother, making her new body adapt to swimming.

As for Arthur, after seeing her sister swim, after a few moments of practice, he also began swimming on his own as well. Elaina could only shake her head seeing how the two babies she had started swimming like adults already.
