Defeating a rock golem using a sword wasn’t supposed to be easy. In fact, it is outright impossible without damaging the blade of the sword being used. However, after the upgrade process that has been done to her sword, cutting the enemies that should be deemed to be hard ended up becoming a joke as these enemies ended up being cut up smoothly like butter and a hot knife.

The supposed to be hard rocks ended up getting dismantled by Elaina without any problem. And it’s all thanks to the new feature of her sword. Not only did her sword get sharper and sturdier, but it also became a conduit of magic, allowing it to convert mana into an energy that will allow it to be able to cut faster and deal more damage than usual.

As a result of this upgrade, Elaina cleared the lower floors consistently. She did feel the danger before, but because she has always treated the monsters as a treat, she didn’t have any problem with it, and she bulldozed all the enemies before they became a big threat. By the time she is descending further, the monsters would treat Elaina as a bigger threat than themselves.

Elaina just clears the whole floor of monsters before proceeding to mine. Elaina is just on the grind, and she never stops hunting the monsters as long as there is still one in the room. She only stops once every monster is dead, and all that’s left standing is herself.

By the time Elaina is about to finish her collection of gemstones, she is almost at level 50. Ever since the Village of the Dwarves, the floors stopped making unique safe places every 5 floors. The only difference is that they are now replaced with either a node floor where everything around is just nodes of various minerals or a place currently infested with monsters with fewer or no nodes to mine. Other than that, nothing much is present on those floors aside from the elevators, which further unlocked the remaining buttons of the elevator.

After clearing floor 49, Elaina grabbed her pickaxe and mined every single nodes which mostly consist of either Opal or Aquamarine, mostly aquamarine though.

"Alright, that should be all of the gemstones I would need. I thought I would end up on the hundredth floor, but it turns out I won’t even need to enter the fiftieth floor. Pretty neat, I would say."

Stretching her body after mining a lot, Elaina felt that she will get in a lot of pain and muscle strain tomorrow and will not be able to do anything.

"If I am tasked to do this again, I will no longer volunteer to do this all alone."

She sighed and picked up her pickaxe. With her task done, it was time to head back, and what she needed to do was to head to the fiftieth floor and activate the elevator on that floor. She might even swing back to the hot springs and have a good soak for a bit there before returning to the surface. It is a taxing job, after all, and she is not a natural miner. A good rest and a good relaxation would be a valuable reward for Elaina.

Descending to the 50th floor, Elaina was expecting either an area full of nodes and other stuff of various minerals or perhaps a place filled with monsters due to the infestation. However, when she arrived there, she was surprised to see that the place had changed. It changed a lot to the point that the rock walls were replaced entirely with crystals. Red crystals that looked like quartz.

"What the..." Elaina is surprised and was just in awe as she sweep her eyes all around the place. Not only the place has been replaced fully with the crystal quartz-like material, even the floor has been changed to this quartz like material, except it is now converted into a floor. It is also extremely smooth that she thought she was stepping on glass. She even knock on it a few times to test whether the floor was glass and if it is safe to traverse.

Walking around the place, Elaina realized that the place is very big. Previous floors are big, but now, this whole place is very big that she is not sure whether the place was an entire room itself. She kind of reminded herself on the stratas of the labyrinth. It was a big place and she have yet to see the end of the room. It seems to extend to various rooms and that is what made Elaina a bit nervous. After all, big rooms means a boss.

Instead of walking around like nothing, Elaina treaded the place carefully. She didn’t want to get jumped by something unknown all of a sudden.

"[Elaina? Where are you? Where is that place, and why is it like a place filled with various gemstones?]" The message of the God of Farming suddenly appeared before Elaina.

"Eh? God of Farming? Can you send me messages? I am still in the mines. I thought the deeper I go, the harder I am to be contacted, which is why you limit the contact while I am in the mines?"

"[Yes. But that doesn’t mean we can’t send messages to you. Unlike in the labyrinth, where we are completely deprived of contact, we can still contact you, it is just that it is harder and a bit annoying to do because of the little interference and signal power that makes it troublesome to communicate with you if you are in the deeper levels of the mines. But enough of that, where the heck are you? This place is just reeking of danger all over.]"

"That’s what I wanted to know as well. The place is very dangerous. The place is oozing with mana to the point that even I, watching it in the realm of the gods, can feel it. You need to leave as soon as you can, Elaina. Staying there might be more dangerous than it looks!]" the God of Farming warned.

Elaina nodded. "Alright. I needed to find the elevator first to get back to the surface."

The elevator was supposed to be present on every 5 floors but for the first time, Elaina is not seeing any of the elevator signs in the 50th floor. And because she couldn’t see the elevator, Elaina has no choice but to forcibly explore the place and find it before Elaina gets overwhelmed.

As she continued to move, Elaina noticed that the crystals had grown darker in red. Before, it looked like the crystals had a bit of tinge in pinkish color. But as she explores deeper into the area, the whole place starts to grow darker and darker. Elaina does not like it and instinctively reaches out on her sword.

"[Elaina! You still haven’t found the exit?!]"

"No. As much as I want to get out of here, I still haven’t seen it. The air is getting thicker, and I am not sure if I was imagining it or not."

"[Be careful and bail out as soon as you find the elevator. Don’t stay there any longer than you should.]"

Elaina nodded as she continued to explore the entire place. Aside from the quartz-looking place, there’s barely anything there, not even monsters to at least make Elaina feel a bit comfortable to know that she is not the only thing alive on that floor at the moment. But because there is nothing but just her and the quartz, it makes the whole place creepy and uncomfortable.

She continued to explore the place, and as much as she hated the dreaded feeling, there was no escape when she still couldn’t find the elevator she needed to escape the place.

"Where is the elevator of this place when you needed it?!" Elaina grumbled as she continue to walk around. There’s no monsters around and yet Elaina couldn’t help but grip on her sword tighter.

As she continued to walk deeper, she soon arrived at a room that seemed to indicate that it was already the end of the floor’s room. The elevator is also located there, and as soon as she is in the vicinity, the lights of the elevator light up, showing that it is now operational.

However, Elaina’s attention was not on the elevator, her attention was focused on one thing that was present in the center of the room. One that Elaina has not seen before. A big crystal. However, this crystal is not just a regular crystal. Inside the crystal is a small figure. She couldn’t see it at first because the place had gotten darker, especially with the reddish color of the quartz. However, upon closer look, Elaina soon realized what the figure inside the big crystal was.

It’s none other than an infant. A male baby, encased by the crystal. As Elaina approaches, all of a sudden, the big crystal started to crack and the baby who had his eyes closed suddenly open and directly stares at Elaina.
