"It was Sandra."

She was asking him, but it came out as a statement.

"According to my assistant’s investigation, it was her." Seth Quinn didn’t hide what he’d found from her. "But this film studio is used exclusively for period and historical dramas. To prevent anachronisms from appearing on camera, they don’t have any surveillance cameras installed."

"So, a deeper investigation seems impossible. For now, all we can confirm is that she’s the one who started it."

"There’s no need for a deeper investigation. It was definitely her," Clara Grant said. "In the entire cast and crew, she’s the only one with a grudge and a conflict of interest with me. It couldn’t be anyone else. After all, who would try to harm me for no reason?"

Seth Quinn sighed and shook his head internally. ’In the entire cast and crew, Sandra’s the only one with a grudge and a conflict of interest with her?’

’What about Faye Jennings?’

’Has she forgotten that Faye Jennings likes him? A romantic entanglement is still an entanglement! It’s even more intense than a conflict of interest!’

’Is her little head just too simple? Or is it that she’s never once considered Faye Jennings a rival, so the concept of a romantic entanglement doesn’t even exist in her mind?’

While he was shaking his head and sighing, Clara Grant spoke again. "What do you plan to do to her?"

Seth Quinn raised an eyebrow. "What else could I do? Even without conclusive evidence, as the president of the company, I have the authority to replace an actor."

"Even if Sandra did harm me... Seth Quinn, can I ask you to let her off just this once?"

Based on what she knew about Seth Quinn, his punishment for Sandra would be far more than a simple replacement. Even if he wasn’t doing it to get revenge on her behalf, for the sake of the company and harmony on set, he was more than capable of permanently blacklisting or shelving her. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

And for an actor, being permanently blacklisted before they’ve even made a name for themselves... could there be any greater tragedy?

Clara Grant looked steadily at Seth Quinn, her expression serious and earnest. As far as Seth Quinn could recall, this was probably the first time she had ever said his name with such gravity, the first time she had ever used the word "ask" with him.

But it was for someone else. For the very person who held a grudge against her and had likely schemed to harm her!

Seth Quinn was displeased, and his expression tightened.

His wife didn’t need to be this magnanimous. Especially not toward someone who tried to harm her. Forgetting about punishment was one thing, but to actually ask him to let the person go!

But Clara Grant didn’t back down at his displeasure. She continued, "I’m not some kind of saint; I don’t just forgive everyone who wrongs me. But with Sandra, I was the one who wronged her first, after all."

"So, whether she tampered with my three incense sticks to make them break during the ceremony, or had someone swap my luggage to embarrass me in front of everyone, I can be harsh with my words and attitude, but I can’t bring myself to block her career path and ruin her life."

When Seth Quinn heard that Sandra was also behind the incense incident, his frustration with Clara Grant grew. "You wronged her first? How exactly did you wrong her?"

"I took her role, after all, didn’t I? For an actor, being recast is a terrible thing. To put it more seriously, you could even call it disrespectful. So, is it really that hard to understand why she’d do something rash in a fit of anger?"

Seth Quinn shot back, not to be outdone, "The recasting wasn’t your decision, so you don’t need to blame yourself. If she wants to blame someone, she should blame the right person. If she’s got the guts, why doesn’t she come settle the score with me and Director Keane?"
