Chapter 173: WICKEDNESS

They have planned this trip to Great Lunar kingdom before the event of Zuri’s kidnap and Khaos decided to bring her right away once they left the Great Palace in Three Deadly Ways.

The plan that Zuri had set for Caiden to carry had come to fruition and they needed to take the next step in order to get back the Golden Stamp. Caiden had done his role wonderfully.

And right now, they were right outside of the Great Lunar kingdom’s gates, waiting for their entry, lining up with the other merchant to enter the Great Wall. freewebnoveℓ.com

These were the merchants that the king from Great Lunar kingdom managed to lobby, as they only allowed to sell the food supplies to this kingdom, leaving the other two kingdoms perished during the winter.

Khaos used his identity as a merchant again and actually managed to get his guild to ’get lobbied’ by the king himself.

Therefore, it was not a problem to get through the gates. And for Zuri, she played her role as his ’wife’ again, but this time, she was close to one. He already marked her and she wondered how their arrangement after the completion of the beauty blood.

"You have promised about that," Zuri reminded Khaos grimly.

"Thing changed. I will not agree to that anymore," Khaos replied casually, as he took off his clothes without any shame in front of her.

This would be the first time for Zuri to see him without clothes and this distracted her from their current argumentation and Khaos was well aware of that.

"That’s not fair!" Zuri shook her head to clear her mind from the sight before her eyes. He was a distraction.

Currently, they just arrived at the inn, where they were going to stay and meet with Caiden in a few hours when Zuri brought up their situation.

Khaos had promised her freedom after the completion of the beauty blood. Her memories would be erased and she wouldn’t remember any of this.

Yet...

"You are going back on your own words!"

"That’s not the first time," Khaos shrugged, he turned around and faced her, while Zuri averted her gaze from his nakedness.

She felt stupid. Why would she feel embarrassed? It was not like she was a virgin, she had seen Xaden naked before, but why seeing Khaos bothered her?

"Probably because I have a better figure than him. Obviously, I am more pleasant in the eyes than him."

"Stop reading my mind." Zuri didn’t know which one was more annoying, to have Khaos reading her mind or listening to the voices in her head that recently turned suspiciously quiet. She didn’t hallucinate as often too.

"You need to learn how to block it then."

Zuri was not sure how they could reach this point, but their relationship took a different turn. It almost felt like hate and love relationship. Sometime, she hated Khaos for making her life difficult, but she couldn’t use that hate to do anything harmful toward him.

"Because of the mate bond. You are my mate, normally, you will not do any harm on me."

Once again, Khaos answered what was in her mind, it seemed he took the pleasure of irritating Zuri.

"Normally? I know a few people, who didn’t think that way?" Xaden and her father as an example.

"Then you know they are not normal. They are crazy, don’t you agree with me?" Khaos winked at her playfully. He looked more relax than usual and this made Zuri smiled.

She liked her banter with him, it had been so long since she had full control over her own mind. It had been so long, since she didn’t feel the pain, hear the voices or see dead people. It was nice. She felt normal.

It might safe to say, for her, the mate bond between them, the mate bond that was formed by the lycan, had fixed her ’craziness’. She liked that theory.

"How did you get so many food supplies? I remembered the food supplies would have run out by now."

"Changing the topic?" Khaos finally put on clothes and Zuri finally met his eyes.

"Just answer me." Zuri was sitting on the edge of the bed. Her neck was still hurt and the mark was still so red, but she secretly impatient to see his mark on her.

"I bought ten ships and I only showed five of them."

Zuri was quick to catch what he meant. "No way... you have all those food supplies all this time?"

Khaos laid on the bed and pulled her down with him. He caressed her neck and stared at his mark. "Yes."

"You are so wicked..." Zuri giggled.

"That sounds like a compliment."

Zuri squinted her eyes and scrunched her nose, indicating that she was thinking of something and Khaos liked to see her when she was deep in thought. Obviously, this sight was way better than when she lost control over her mind.

Khaos had dealt with Rhett. He forced him to announce that Dezgar was the new leader for the magic user for the cult and let them knew that Elijah’s death was because of his act of treason for not obeying the alpha’s order.

That would be the example for the rest of them. That would be a warning for the cult, and also Rhett. He came with Khaos’s entourage to Great Lunar Kingdom along with Dezgar, but he had been avoiding Zuri, though it was not like she was looking for him either.

"Great... great..." Zuri mumbled, she beamed when she thought of a way to make use of Khaos’s extra food supplies. "Even when the winter is over, we need to at least wait for a month to receive the supply from another continent, but because almost all the merchants have been lobbied by Great Lunar kingdom, we will suffer for a while because of that. During the crisis, we can sell the food supply to your king brother with a very high price!"
