Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Wouldn’t It Be Satisfying to Snatch Her Man?

Vivian Quincy would absolutely not agree to Jasper Ford’s absurd demand!

She stubbornly lifted her small face, her bright, captivating eyes shimmering. "I’m just the CEO’s assistant," she said to Jasper Ford with utmost seriousness. "As long as the demands you make of your assistant aren’t too excessive, I can accept them. So please, think it over. What are the boundaries? If I find them feasible, I promise I’ll agree."

Such a firm tone of refusal!

Jasper Ford, already displeased with Vivian Quincy, narrowed his eyes dangerously. "So, you intend to get entangled with other men while you’re my assistant?"

Vivian Quincy shook her head and said earnestly, "Mr. Ford, please don’t be angry. I just want to discuss this with you seriously. I know you don’t trust me, but I’m really not that kind of promiscuous person. Messing around with other men is something that will absolutely never happen. You can be completely at ease about that."

She raised her pinky finger in a firm pledge. Seeing Jasper Ford’s expression soften a bit, she continued, "Secondly, I’m an unmarried woman, and I’ll definitely want to date and get married in the future. I can promise not to interact with other men during work hours to avoid upsetting you. But after work, I should have my own personal freedom. Don’t you think I’m right?" 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Jasper Ford’s impossibly handsome face suddenly darkened, and he lunged forward, grabbing Vivian Quincy by the neck.

She was terrified and frantically grabbed his hand, choking out, "What are you doing... COUGH, COUGH... Let go!"

Jasper Ford’s fingers casually stroked the girl’s fair, smooth neck, a smile playing on his lips. To Vivian Quincy, that smile was utterly terrifying. ’He’s like a ferocious beast,’ she thought, her fear mounting...

"You want personal freedom?" the man chuckled, his voice both wicked and alluring.

That voice sent a shiver down Vivian Quincy’s spine, making her legs tremble. She shook her head violently. "No, absolutely not!"

Her eyes were glued to the large hand on her neck. ’Is this monster going to snap my neck in a fit of rage? This is terrifying! Why did Anna have to run off so fast? She could have at least stayed behind to call an ambulance for me!’

A man and a woman alone, with such a great disparity in strength. At this moment, Vivian Quincy didn’t dare to breathe. Her bright, wide eyes were filled with terror!

’She’s that afraid of me?’

Jasper Ford was slightly surprised. He smiled and said, "If that’s the case, then just be obedient. If something like today happens again, don’t blame me for ripping your arm off."

Vivian Quincy swallowed hard. "It won’t happen again. Absolutely not."

"Go inside," the man commanded.

Vivian Quincy froze. "Inside where?"

The man was displeased.

Vivian Quincy suddenly realized he meant for her to go into her own home. She poked his large hand, which was still on her neck, with a trembling finger and said pitifully, "Could you maybe move your hand first?"

Jasper Ford lowered his gaze and withdrew his hand. Just as he was about to give her purse back, Vivian Quincy snatched it away, vanished in a flash, and slammed the front door shut. A series of clicks followed as she locked it—it sounded like she engaged several deadbolts!

’That wretched woman. Does she despise me that much?’

The more Jasper Ford thought about it, the angrier he became. But ultimately, he did nothing more. He glanced at the nail marks on his wrist—all from Vivian Quincy. ’I’m making her cut those nails tomorrow. Why does a girl need to keep her nails that long, anyway...’

Jasper Ford turned and entered the elevator.

Inside her apartment, Vivian Quincy had been glued to the peephole ever since she’d locked the door. Only after she saw Jasper Ford leave did she let out a sigh of relief and pat her chest. "That was so scary."

The phone in her purse was ringing nonstop. Vivian Quincy answered it.

Anna asked excitedly, "Vivian, why did your boss leave?"

"It’s the middle of the night. What else would he do but leave?" Vivian Quincy shot back, then realized something was off. "Where are you right now?"

"In the flowerbed below your apartment building. Why didn’t you make him stay?" Anna sounded disappointed, her tone full of frustration. "I left you two alone! Why didn’t you seize the opportunity? A man like that is the total package, a once-in-a-lifetime catch! You got him all the way to your door and you didn’t even get him into bed? Are you an idiot?"

The corner of Vivian Quincy’s mouth twitched. ’What in the world is going on in her head?’

She and Jasper Ford just had a professional relationship!

Vivian was furious with her ridiculous friend. "Thanks to you, I nearly got strangled to death! And you’re talking about getting him into bed? Are you wishing I’d die sooner?"

"Huh?" Anna was stunned, not understanding. She waited until Jasper Ford was out of sight before heading upstairs to ask Vivian, "What do you mean? You two came home together and you’re still not a couple?"

"A couple, my ass! Why did you run off just now? Do you have any idea he almost snapped my neck!" Vivian Quincy was so angry she threw a pillow at her.

Anna was baffled. "No way. Your boss seemed like a perfectly nice guy. He’s so handsome and has such great charisma. How could he possibly get violent with you? You must not have been gentle enough."

A vein throbbed in Vivian Quincy’s temple. She felt it was impossible to have a normal conversation with Anna anymore. Tossing down her purse and phone, she said, "I’m going to take a shower and go to bed. You can do whatever."

Anna sidled up to her with a grin. "Don’t be in such a rush to shower! First, tell me what’s the deal with him. That’s Wanda Quincy’s fiancé. Does she know you’ve lured her man back to your place?"

"Let me be clear, I did not lure him anywhere. It was late and he was just giving me a ride home. That’s it," Vivian Quincy restated very seriously.

Anna smirked. "Fine, fine, you’re right about everything. It’s just a professional relationship where a huge CEO gives a little shrimp like you a ride home. I’ve worked at my company for years, and forget the boss, not a single coworker has ever given me a ride. Vivian, you’re so lucky."

Squeezing toothpaste onto her brush, Vivian Quincy pointed it at her. "I’m going to get seriously angry if you keep spouting nonsense!"

"Okay, I surrender! I won’t say another word, alright?" Anna raised her hands in a gesture of defeat but still couldn’t contain her curiosity. "But seriously, the guy is a total catch. He’s so handsome. Since you’re his assistant, why not take advantage of your proximity? What if you end up becoming a wealthy Young Madam?"

"He has a fiancée," Vivian Quincy said. "And it’s Wanda Quincy!"

’I’d have to be out of my mind to fight Wanda Quincy for a man.’

Anna said with utmost seriousness, "So what if he has a fiancée? They aren’t married. Besides, didn’t Jasper Ford already call off the engagement? Wanda Quincy isn’t technically his fiancée anymore. Remember how that two-faced bitch ruined you six years ago? You should give her a taste of her own medicine. Wouldn’t it be sweet to steal her man? The thought alone would be enough to wake her from a dead sleep in a fit of rage!"

If you asked Anna, Vivian Quincy should be lying in wait, ready to conquer this prime specimen. Even though she only got a quick look, Anna was certain Jasper Ford had an incredible physique. His complexion was healthy and handsome, he was tall, and most importantly, he was rich!

With a man that perfect, even just sleeping with him once would make your whole life worth it.
